  1. I personally couldnt care less about torque loss under 4000 rpm. IMHO this intake would only be worth the money on big cubes and high rpm. waste of money on a stock cubic inch car. I made my direct port with a fast 90 intake for less than that.
  2. The code is putting it in a "limp" mode were it goes to max pressure. You can set the slip higher in the pcm but i think you may be showing signs of bigger problems down the road. if you have a tuner change the slip parameter, just to see if it stops the shifting issue. At any rate I would find a good transmission shop
  3. thanks for the update I was going to pm ya about it
  4. 40 roll for 40$??? after all its just a Trans Am
  5. Next time they ask you to pull forward just say no! Its funny as hell they say uh you dont understand I need you to pull forward and I tell them again NO i will not pull forward because you will leave me out there for 10 minutes. I have had the manager then come over and I tell them the same thing its funny as fuck. They get all red faced and mad but they get with the program and bring the food right away
  6. I ran mine up and over the top of the trans to the "T" i put in the brake booster line. I cant for the life of me see why you ran it anywhere near the exhaust. On another note mine is just some cheap ass soft clear tubing like you would get at home depot with a spring inside of it to keep it from colapsing. I say go to home depot.

  9. i dont spray through on the big shots. I used to spray through when i was at lower power levels (500 or less) 112 oct unleaded???
  10. My fuel cell is 5 quarts, you will be fine with the 3 quart unit. You will be surprized at how little it will use, you will have to change the bottle before refilling the cell. another major advantage is being able to adjust the fuel pressure to fine tune your A/F ratio. I would rather finish the welds myself then pay the vender to polish the cell. Aluminum is easy enough to work with. I powder coated mine (i made mine out of stainless) you could due that after polishing it would look bad ass. You will want to go to Jegs and get some fuel cell foam and put it in, as these guys dont do that. I run VP motorsport 109 (unleaded) in mine
  11. I have a stand alone that fits where the battery goes. Its alot like the one nitro Dave made. (i did mine first) His has the regulator before the line to the fuel noid I made a return to the regulator. I am in the process of making mine a dual pump. Just order the stand alone from dave with one pump for now. You can always add a second pump later. Seems I told you a while ago you would need a stand alone fuel system maybe you'll listen a little closer next time. your other option is to go with a dual pump in the main tank with a hobbs switch. you would need a larger feed line and upgraded fuel rails and an aftermarket regulator. it will end up costing the same as the stand alone and you wont have the advantage of using high octane in the fuel cell
  12. I worked almost 800 hrs of ot last year. 1.5 over 8 a day, 1.5 0ver 40 per week, double time sunday, triple time holidays. over 16,000 in bonus money last year and no time clock

  15. ROFLMAO This thread delivers the laughs
  16. pm sent for the record I think you should leave the RWHP out of it and raise the trap to at LEAST 125 and really 130. There is no reason to be messing around with high 11 second cars
  17. ya he is right you suck as a mechanic. Its a cracked block, a real mechanic would have known that and gave him a quote of $8,517.38 I better go find this thread ill give him a quote LOL

  20. I lived in WY for 25 years, been to all of the major resorts in colo, utah and wy. I have also skied a few in Ohio and 7 springs in PA. Cant imagine why any would bother skiing east of the mississippi it's a joke! Maybe im getting to old but I got my fill of the snow and cold. Ive done anything from ice fishing to cross country ski camping you name it we did it all winter long. Maybe it's the been there done that for me?
  21. I have my intake and heads off at the moment. not sure if the direct port nozzles will have an effect on the test. I could strip the direct port and plug the holes.
  22. The valve events can have more to do with the answer to your question than anything. Your asking what static compression ratio you can get away with on pump gas (SCR) when actually It's the dynamic compression ratio DCR that tells the real story. Cam overlap, bleedoff etc can allow a low enough DCR to allow you to run over 12:1 on pump gas. This Is a complex subject that is certainly beyond my knowledge, But i suggest you employ a true expert when trying to select components for an engine so that they truly work together.
  23. I will never again click on a link Linn posts Then again I may be to tramatized to click a mouse as long as I live after that
