  1. Thanks guys, I will look 'em up.
  2. I like the Prowler idea if its physically possible and of course any of the old mopar muscle cars.
  3. Anyone know where one would send a turbo to have it balanced other than to the manufacture?
  4. so, what's going into the 93 Z? I thought about putting my boosted LT1 in one of dad's 69's but I think I'm gonna hold off. Hopefully I'll have the money for an LSX build in the 69 before I get too old.
  5. I still like the body, but it definately looked better with the concept's front lighting configuration. ...on a side note, did anyone notice that sweet trailor hitch? Screw putting the C6 vette wheels on my turbo 97, I'm gonna wait for the new 09 trailor hitch. I bet CM will sell a hitch with a machined and polished lip...i'm on that fa sho
  6. good job guys, i wish I could have been there

    Verizon-new phone?

I've heard nothing but great opinions on the i-phone from my friends. I'm sticking with verizon and went with the Voyager last week. So far I love it. My buddy also bought the Voyager the day it came out (in late November or early December?) and he hasn't had a problem with it and also loves it. The battery life seems to be very good too in my opinion but I switched from the POS Razor.
  8. What do you consider "a hell of a deal?" I work with a guy at Firestone on Sunbury Rd who is looking to sell his black 07 model to buy the 08 model. It is not driven alot of miles and is completely stock. He is not a racer so I'm positive it has not been abused. Very very nice vehicle in my opinion. Let me know what you're looking to spend and I"ll stop by work and ask him if he's interested in letting it go at the price.
  9. I'm an LT1 guy....I like it and you can make any domestic v8 powerful, but its easier and at this point, probably cheaper in the long run to just start out with an LS1.
  10. hopefully not a repost...oh, the days when video games were simple lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAAgfY_NHzw
  11. Looks like the C6-R race logo from LeMans. I have a beanie and a hoody with those skull pictures and "C6-R" written on it... This car looks amazing
  12. I LOVE my MT DR's for straight line at the track and on the street...man do they hook! However, driving curvy back roads to the track was pretty scary at first. There is so much sidewall flex and it feels very unsafe. After a few times out on them though, I realized they grab real well on curvy roads too--you just have to get a feel for squishy sidewalls. This is the only DR I have run, but for my purposes of using them mostly at the track only, I think they're the best tire available. For the street, BFG is probably a better option.
  13. I had a hard time keeping it pushed down far enough to get the bolts back in on my 15psi spring. Luckily right now I'm just running a 3-4psi spring...it was cake to install
  14. Cool deal, guys. I took it for a drive with no front bumper and just the front mount shining in all its glory. It sounds pretty good with open downpipe while cruising around but it smokes pretty bad on start up and when i rev it up at idle. I'm thinking I must have damaged some valve seals when I installed them because I had alot of trouble getting them on. ....either that or I have oil going through the seals of the turbo
  15. That's exactly how I'd like to do it. What size pipe are you running and what muffler? My buddy just gave me a 6' section of 4" pipe so that should get me started if I can find a deisel shop to bend it.
  16. This is a custom front mount kit made by RealQuick (a board member at cz28.com). It's not pretty but it seems like its going to work! I'm just running a T70 right now because I have not come across anyone giving away a T76 yet. I do like the STS systems but this kit was cheaper. I have watched some FAST track cars with the STS. I'm not so much worried about the noise thing--as long as it looks like you have an exhaust they don't seem to bother people no matter how loud it is, but when there is clearly no exhaust past the rear of the oil pan, I'm probably going to get harrassed. I would like to install a cut out off the down pipe and run run exhaust before the axle. Should I just buy some 3.5" mandrel bent pipes and weld/clamp them together or should I take it to a shop and have them bend it? Who can bend 3.5"?
  17. I'm about to the point where I can start driving the car and working on part throttle/cruise/idle tuning. However, I just have an open downpipe and the turbo did not muffle the sound as much as I originally thought it would. I need to find out if its LEGAL to dump the exhaust out the side in front of the rear axle or if I have to run it out the back of the car. I know on trucks the exhaust must dump behind the cab and I would assume the law is the same for cars...which means a tail pipe at the rear bumper... My 3" banks after-cat pipe and muffler doesn't flow very high HP so I'm hoping I can just run a high flow 4" bullet muffler and dump it.
  18. Hey man, that all looks good! Who built your motor? I just got mine running again but I guarantee it does not sound as mean as that sweetness right there! I'm trying to talk Dad into shelling out the money for me to build a 396LT1 for him and put it in one of his 69 camaros. It would be cool since the other 69 camaro has a 396 big block in it! Also, I talked to a Shawn Duvall (spelling?) with a 396 LT1 car from Zanesville a year or 2 ago...is that you?
  19. Does that boost guage come with whatever is needed to hook it up? That is one of my "still need to buy" items to get this car back together...
  20. I'm trying to get this LT1 back together but my new springs are not clearing the new valve seals. Apparently the stock guides are .557" diameter and I need to get them down to .530" so I can run a standard valve seal. If you can cut guides, please PM me. I'm getting tired of getting raped at the machine shops.
  21. Pete Rose will be there so you will have a .001% of getting a should-be hall of famer's autograph. Tell Pete I said hi and that I'll bet $100 the Reds will lose on opening day.
  22. those sure look alot like these ones by Cervini: http://www.cervinis.com/product.aspx?car=1&id=1160 I raced a C-500 from the light getting off 70E onto 37 towards National Trail Raceway. He started in front of me and I pushed him up to about 65mph. I don't think he was great at driving it yet but it was the nicest looking stang I have ever saw. It was a yellow 'vert and sounded amazing! I was surprised when he told me it was supercharged and supposed to run 11's! I'm assuming traction control was holding him back when he tried to run away from me cause he didn't pull at all. The license plate said "Yelenor," which I thought was cool. I was just passing by the track so did not get to see what he ended up running in the 1/4...judging by how he ran me, I'd say he ran about a 12.5-12.7 @112-115mph
  23. Kyle, you wouldn't happen to need an exhaust system for that car would you? I have AS&M headers, a Random Tech ypipe and Gale Banks cat-back for sale from my car. If it don't sell I might have to buy my wife an LS1 car to install the cat-back on cause it sounds real nice!
  24. Someone else here has an LT1 car? I thought I was the only loser
