that sounds pretty sweet. I have an 18-200 VR (vr is similar to IS) that is my every day lens. it does pretty well. I also picked up a 70-300 VR lens. this one is pretty basic as well. its not too bad at f8 though. a little soft at f5.6.
I scored an f1.8 50mm for $100. its an older lens but the auto focus works on my d300 where it doesn't work on the lower level nikon dslr's.
I'll have to say the f1.8 is pretty sweet for low light, but the depth of field is very shallow.
Some other forums have had contest when street view first started. they found pictures of a guy breaking into a house (or it appears to be) cars pulled over by police, etc.
so he doubled his milage...hmm Wonder if I could double my current 50 MPG to 100!
I watched that earlier. and one thing that they failed to mention is that shutting the engine off (for cars with power steering) is that it stops working and makes it very hard to steer.
Last 3 tanks were 51.2, 46.8, and 56-58
I think that the last tank didn't filll all the way causing a high MPG. if so, the current tank will be low MPG

Last year I was buying a 5 qt jug of mobil 1 from wal-mart for $19.99
and I believe that the mobil filters were only about $5
I haven't bought any this year though.
The actual shutter clicks may be higher. i.e. on my camera, the file number is 4006. the shutter clicks in 4031. probably due to me trying to take a photo with no memory card.
If you send me a pictures I can pull it from the exif information.
you can also upload it to flicker and I believe that will tell you as well.
I had a similar issue once. I replaced a set of brakes. after driving it the calipar looked locked up. I replaced it and had the same thing happen again. it turned out to the be rubber line in between the hard line and caliper turned into a one way valve allowing fluid into it but not back to the resvoir.
I would start with a replacement first.
I just looked on ebay at the completed auctions and found the following.
Out of the lowest 25 just like mine (in silver, new, etc.)
only 3 have sold for $280 or less.
The average selling price of those 25, including shipping, is about $297.50
Average of the last 25 that have sold is about $303.
I'll take the paypal and ship for $315, paypal fees will be around $9 and shipping will be $13 or so with insurance.

Costco will take it. you put the info in on their website and then print out a UPS label (shipping is on them) box it up and call UPS.
We are starting to use that method, but haven't done it yet as we have a ton of old equipment to recycle.
