  1. 3% international transaction fee sounds right. thats not them charging you the money, thats your CC company. just like im sure if you drove up to windsor and swiped your CC at the titty bar for $100, it would probably show $103
  2. id pay off my house too. one thing i was kinda disappointed with when i bought the house, is that it was such a cheap house and i got such a low rate (5.000%), that the standard deduction is actually more than if i itemize. lol.
  3. ive got a M&P compact. im pretty sure your ruger was a lot bigger than my gun. i dont carry it full time. winter i usually carry it when i think about it, otherwise when i leave it at home i just throw my keltec in my pocket since its in my glovebox every other time in the day
  4. ...maybe im out of the loop, but what the fuck are you guys talking about prorating your registration for a partial year? when i go in june, i pay my $52 or whatever it is, and it is good for one year.
  5. i can probably meet up with you somewhere close like NASR if you want to shoot it, but i probably wont do any shooting. NASR and powder room are about the same distance away from me in either direction, but i'd guess that NASR would have a few more rentals...i could be wrong though
  6. you speak the truth. ive told him previously the same thing. lol. and he put a good amount of rounds through my M&P 9c at blackwing a couple months ago. i guess you can't knock him for wanting to shoot the XD to compare it to what he shot at BWSC
  7. sorry in advance for length... just to update - went to treasurers office on friday. he said that the 402.47 should have been found by the title company. he said i needed to contact them and basically state "hey, i paid for a free and clear title and you missed this, now you need to fix it". (in a nutshell) called my realtor (who is my moms friend, so that was helpfull), she needed the tax bill i got faxed to her. also stopped by bank and left a copy with the mortgage guy realtor called me back, stated that they would have to file a title insurance claim, said she called title office today but person who does that is not in until tuesday, so shes calling 1st thing tomorrow guy at bank emailed me, told me the 2578 is my taxes (duh) and the 402.47 is for weed and waste removal that will be added onto that each year. almost 3k in taxes? i think not. i emailed him back and told him what the realtor had said, but that was late today and he probably hasnt seen it. i checked on a few neighbors properties on the auditors website, and not one of them has a "special assessment" for "weed and waste removal". then i did see my bank statement updated to show they paid 1490.xx, which is 1/2 + that assessment, so maybe once they get that sorted out, either the title company will cut me a check since im paying that extra into my mortgage monthly, or the bank can refund me at least the $201 they've paid, and drop my mortgage $30/mo or so or cut me another check come june/july when those get paid
  8. understandable. usually they have deals for 0% for X amount of time. i did my kitchen appliances like that when i moved and paid them off when i got my home buyers credit. 0% = free money.

    Vances

a gift purchase isnt the same as a straw purchase for the crack addict down on the corner.
  10. not under 200, but hit up appliancesmart. i got a combo for like $600 a few years ago. enormous tub in the washer, and the dryer is fairly quick. not super fast, but not slow either. im happy with it 3 years later, no problems
  11. they re-did their whole recipe for pizzas. i havent had it yet. what would you compare it to? i just had me some Ange's pepperoni/banana pepper last week, and it was amazing. i forgot how much i loved thier pizza.
  12. he died like a couple weeks ago, right? i saw this in the news a while ago

    Sirius vs XM

didnt sirius buy out XM? wouldnt it all be the same?
  14. get a new ipod. not the best video camera, but on my 16g, i have 1500 songs, 4 entire movies (american gangster about 2.5 hours, pineapple express, maybe 2 hours, taken 1.5 hours and step brothers 1.75 hours), and ive still got like 2.5gb of space left. i find it easy to carry on me and if i want to get quick video, its up and rolling within ~10-15 seconds. just sucks you cant zoom, or anything else. it gets decent video though
  15. yeah but ive got 2 things i can do a) my work pays for 1/2 of a gym membership for me, up to like $200, so its not like its that much b) i can get a "family" membership with my g/f (since we're in the same house). it would go up a few bucks a month, but not as much as if we both had seperate adult memberships. and since shes only like 33 days younger than me, it would work out
  16. i used to go downtown because i liked that everything was in different areas, but then i got sick of paying like $3 for parking and driving from gahanna, so i just got used to working out with a whole area of people and went to gahanna with free parking i do miss having racquetball courts and steam rooms like downtown has though
  17. autotragic + vert = 2 things i want the complete opposite of. thanks though.
  18. if youre a big guy, yeah. lol. i go 2-3x a week to the gahanna one. actually just got home a few minutes ago. ive been a member about 3 years. i enjoy it. dirt cheap too. i think for a family its only $700/yr. my single membership is $28/mo
  19. anything i should look out for on these? i vaguely recall something about one of the suspension parts failing early (like 50k miles early). was that something on these years? anything else to look out for? im really wanting to find a MT AWD model, but it looks like theyre few and far between, most being autos. i'd probably also spring for something like a 330ci. thanks in advance
  20. sounds like me at my old apartment complex. their snow removal policy was "wait for it to melt". after 2 winters of dealing with that BS, i asked my 7 neighbors if they could kick in a few bucks for salt and i went out and shoveled as often as i could, then laid down salt. i like to wear tennis shoes year round and walking on snow i get wet feet if im out too long, which isnt fun. now that i have a house i got my car in the garage this winter...the shitty part is that its an attached garage, but i cant get into the house from the garage, so i have to walk out my garage door and into my house door ~6 feet away. that'll be on my checklist for my next house.
  21. just got an email on the rotors...scheduled delivery on 1/11 (monday). guess no weekend installation for me, but still, thats good shipping by me.
  22. pads delivered today. 1/2 eggs hatched.
  23. just wanted to post here real quick... i ordered some powerslot rotors and hawk pads for my g/fs mazda3 late sunday night/early monday morning (probably midnight or 1am). today, i get an email saying the pads were shipped via UPS, and will be delivered tomorrow. amazing! still no email on the rotors, but the website said may be up to 5 days on all the items i ordered, so no biggie. im just surprised going through UPS theyre getting here in 1 day. im sure being in state helps, but this is great. also, the prices were a couple bucks more than what i found at tirerack, but tirerack was only $14 less and still had to add tax (which would have been about $16-17 and shipping. AA had everything covered in the price i paid 2 powerslot front rotors and hawk HPS pads = $284.85. will order again.
