I was really looking into it pretty hardcore last summer and cash/time everything just kind of ran out and it was a little dissapointing but I really would like to do it this summer. I know of a place near Akron that I was talking to about it, do a few static line jumps and work your way up. I think it was Canton Air or Akron air, I got the tele number someplace and I am goin to get in contact with em and get more details.

I tore into my brothers car and the motor is trashed, so I am checking around for a replacement, 95 or 96 NA 2.0 litre DOHC motor. I have been finding some crazy prices on these motors and figured I would check around and see if anybody had one they are willing to sell for a fair price. Hit me up with any ideas, and thanks in advance for any help. late

Apparently from the letter I recieved from Yamaha, its states that 39000 Yamaha Motorcycles, ranging from their small cc V twin all the way to the R1 have throttle position sensors that go bad or are bad. They can cause rough idle and the bike to stall out at idle or at stop. Also can cause RPM spikes/drops which reingaging the clutch may cause an accident which may result in injury or death. In bold letters it says "Do not ride your motorcycle until this modification has been performed" I recall the R1 I was riding at the Norwalk day to have had similar problems like stated above from the previous owner. They have tried numerous times to get ahold of me now to get it fixed, I was just curious if anyone else had gotten it.

Just checking to see if anybody got a notice about the recall on bout 39000 bikes produced by Yamaha from late 2003 into 2005ish. My totaled 04 R1 is on the list and I have been getting harrassed for bout 2 weeks now nearly every day to get this done. I have not gotten back to them because I am checking on some options. Just wondering if anyone else got the notice, Rigsby, I know ya got an 04, any word. late

Monday nights at 9 i think, the rerun em all the time, Ashley, the uber hot one in my opinion just qualified for her Funny Car license on last nights episode. 4.95 at 315ish mph she did a good job of keeping it lined up. How hot is that, i proposed to the TV but she didnt reply back

Mine is up for sale as well if anyone is interested, not to hijack a thread, PM me if ya need info. But the blowers are sometimes problems, and check into the trans fluid changes and what not. I have torched 2 transmissions in mine, but were mechanical problems, not fluid but it cant hurt to check into. Other than that they are pretty sound, im sure it has leaking valve cover gaskets cause they almost all do, lol.

bump for a bad ass bike, i loved my R1 and wish I had it back. If I had the bank I would definatly be interested, good luck with the sale man...

thats cool, i will look into it, I thought it was kinda fishy. But they told me to bring my R1 back to the dealership for the oil change and valve adjustment and ring me for 180 bucks, i just laughed. I got a warrenty and reved it to 12 grand, lol. thanks for the info, I will look into it a little more in the manual.

Just wondering if anybody has any knowledge on the valve adjustment for an 05 ZX 10. A good friend of mine and I are going to change the oil in his this week and he was asking bout the valve adjustment. Is it a dealership scam to get some bank when the 1st change your oil or is it something that is necessary and required? Any info would be killer and thanks in advance..
