You are leaving out who told him not to and why to make it more dramatic So the people who would have to prosecute this guy, said there isn't enough evidence to prosecute the guy. It isn't like the Police Chief told him not to. This is the person whose job it is to seek justice, and use the court system. Has nothing to do with stories being credible, it has to do with EVIDENCE. Rememebr you are Innocent until proven guilty in this country. You also can't be tried for the same crime twice (Double jeopardy). With the minimal amount of evidence that exists (that we know of), if they took it to a Grand Jury, a Grand Jury would shoot it down so quickly. If they succeeded in getting a Grand Jury to go for it, I could almost say with 100% certainty a Jury would find him innocent in a Criminal Case (Based off what the public knows). Remember witnesses saw Trayvon on top of Zimmerman, beating him. There is no witness/evidence to suggest Zimmerman assaulted Martin first. (Based off what Public Information is known)

Nice little setup there. Keep on going you may find something big one day. I don't think Ohio is very Gold Rich to begin with though.
-
Maybe I missed how he was cut on the back of his head then? You realize you are grasping at straws and nitpicking words now? He was pounded, not slamming his head into the ground......big difference I guess.
-
I think what Tim was trying to say, is Zimmerman has never phsyically assualted someone or pushed the envelope into a physical altercation.
-
Well, I guess you should read the reports then: http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2012-03-26/news/os-trayvon-martin-zimmerman-account-20120326_1_miami-schools-punch-unarmed-black-teenager That would seem to back what I said

I would like to know when they will open an Investigation against The New Black Panthers, for offering a bounty for George Zimmerman. I am sure never though.
-
By following them you instigated them into killing you
-
You're correct. Zimmerman said he was walking away, and there is nothing to refute that. Witnesses saw Martin slamming Zimmerman's head into the ground, and crying for help. Somewhere between Zimmerman hanging up with 911 when they told him to stop following, and Martin being on top of Zimmerman beating him is the truth. Is that worded better for you?
-
I am repeating the facts reported by several media outlets, and police reports that are corroborated by witnesses. As I said before, the truth is lost somewhere in that 1 minute span, between Zimmerman walking away, and Martin ending up on top of him.

Again, very well put. My buddies cousin had this happen to him at a bar. Some drunk guy came up to him ran his mouth, called him all kinds of nasty things. They part ways for 15 minutes. My buddies cousin is pissed off at all of this still, and he just freaks out, goes and lays the guy out. My buddies cousin charged with assault, other guy nothing. Once either party turns their back to walk away, that 'incident' is over.

Maybe he though he was out of it, when he turned around and started walking to his truck? I would assume, if I "Lost Sight" of someone and turned around and started walking towards my truck, that it was over, and I was out of the middle. Not according to Zimmerman's story. Remember Zimmerman lost track of him, and turned around to go to his truck. Had Martin meant for the situation to be over, he would have simply left the scene. Instead he approaches Zimmerman (per Zimmerman's story) and a fight ensues. That is your belief though. According to the evidence at hand, that is seemingly what happened. You are entitled to your belief, and I won't sit here and bash that belief. Mine differs though, and I believe the truth is somewhere in the middle of what Zimmerman says and Martin's side says. That is fine and dandy, but just as years ago that guy in Texas shot someone trying to break into his neighbors house. Some people do care for others outside of themselves/immediate family and will defend others the same way they would defend themselves and their family. Who says I am the one reaching? For all we know Martin's side of the story could be just as big reach. Fair, lets put it this way. You see some woman getting raped, do you go stop it or just "call it in and hope the polce make it on time". Me, I go and stop it. Is there a chance the rapist is armed, sure. I am also armed though. Maybe in a simple assault case sure. It is different if you are attacked from behind with your head being repeatedly driven into the concrete. As Tim said, Martin obviously laid this out. He could have walked away, and been done with it. He chose to escalate it though. Zimmerman didn't know Martin was anywhere close to him. He lost complete sight of him.

Actually he was going to the grocery store, saw this kid and wanted to report it to cops. He didn't go loking for anything.

Speaking of http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/26/former-naacp-leader-accuses-sharpton-and-jackson-of-exploiting-trayvon-martin/ Former leader of the NAACP C.L. Bryant is bashing Jackson/Sharpton for focusing on this simply because it is white on black crime, while ignoring the black on black crimes that happen.
-
Nicely put. And to the last part, I would especially retaliate with deadly force if my back was turned to you, and you did this to me. My thought being I had stopped chasing you, this is over. The cops will handle it now.

Why isn't it? If your single mission in this is to provide officers with the best information possible, wouldn't the best information be where he currently is, as opposed to "He is somewhere in the neighborhood"? Legally he can follow....thus instigating nothing. Why can't he have said conversation with him? Maybe the police don't get called at all if he has this conversation with him? Maybe you can save money/resources by checking something our for yourself instead of relying on others to do it for you. I don't see how him trying to talk to someone who he has never seen before in a neighborhood where break ins were becomming common is such a bad thing. If anything it shows he cares about where he lives. If your neighbor is in a scenario with a fire for example, and fire trucks are 10 minutes away, and you know they won't last that long inside...you wouldn't try to help them? That is putting my ass on the line for a civic duty.... Seeing one side to a story is a reach to begin with. If you get into a confrontation at a bar for example and walk away. You are to have been considered disengaged. If the person you had a confrotation with wants to come back and assualt you for something you did earlier, that is something new. By your rationale, where does a confrontation begin/end? If I had an argument with someone years ago, and at the time the didn't get to do the bodily harm they wanted to on me, and a year later they see me and beat the shit out of me, does that mean what happened 1 year ago is relevant?

Clever. I like how someone changed my user title to Ice Fishing. Ice Fishing is actually very boring, I prefer the Snow Machines. No Aurora for the past few weeks though. Our state is considering a Stand Your Ground law though, which is why I am truly excited to see the outcome of this.

Works for me!

Zimmerman was never running, assuming. Martin asked him "Why are you following me", which my point was, that doesn't imply chasing. Zimmerman returns to his truck, assuming, and while his back is turned Martin, instead of walking away, goes out of his way to come after Zimmerman.
-
He is 17, he isn't 6. He is a man, and basically an adult. He could defend himself, and phsyically was capable of dealing with Zimmerman. I would expect a 6-10 year old to run and say "The big bad man is chaisng me" Not some 17 year old, who is essentially an Adult. I am no Vigilante, I am Vigilant though, and would follow someone outside to give the police the most accurate information possible.
-
If you call from in a car, and the kid runs...you need to tell police where he took off running towards. Not just "Oh some suspicious kid is running around my neighborhood" As well if we are to believe the girl friend in this scenario, Martin asked "Why are you following me" not "Why are you chasing me" Two very distinct yet possibly interchangeable terms. He observed and reported. He followed at what he thought was a safe distance. Then turned around and retreated like the police asked him to do. Maybe he didn't want to waste the police forces' time? Maybe he though he could just simply have a conversation with someone, and had Trayvon said "I am visiting family member x, who lives here" It could have all been avoided that way. That is you. Not everyone is like you. Some people feel it is their civic duty to protect their neighbors. Actually it could be. Slander or Lible. Zimmerman also disengaged himself by walking away. Martin re-initiated contact and confronted Zimmerman. You could also reverse it and say Martin knowingly put himself into that sitaution by running, when someone asked to talk to him.
-
If the evidence points to such, what else are they to do? They can't arrest a man without evidence.
-
Maybe, yours does. Maybe his doesn't. He is a licensed conceal carry permit holder. How are you to know the person who was breaking into houses wasn't armed themselves? Then he could have been shot for simply trying to help his neighbors. From what I heard/read. He didn't own a firearm until his wife asked him to get one, if he was going to be out doing Neighborhood Watch. I also read/heard he tried to form a formal neighborhood watch, and no one else would help him. So he was doing this all on his own, to help his neighbors.

I don't think it was at all. We will have to agree to disagree. You can be Vigilant, without being a Vigilante. The difference being the Vigilante will dole out their form of justice. Had he wanted to do this, he would have just shot the kid from 10 feet away. He chose to run, when he was potentially asked to come and talk to someone. I think the argument you are posing is getting dumber and dumber, filled with more excuses, but I don't feel the need to say it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and until everything is out in the lime light, most of this is speculation. As I said before it is lose-lose for everyone involved.
