  1. I have a 4' plastic tote FULL of 3800 and Grand Prix shit. MANY new engine gaskets, a couple PCM's from 1998-2000, shit ton of various engine and transmission components, intercooler hose, a downpipe flex for headers, and much more. I want $100 for the whole mess (but you can't have the tote). It's EASILY worth it. Included will be another small tote full of miscellaneous bolts and hardware from Wbodies. Ed Morad gave it to me some years ago and it's saved my ass many times. You can have this tote. I'll also let you go through all my garage chemicals and stuff that my brother doesn't take, since I can't take this stuff to DC. PM me, or better yet, call me if you know the number.
  2. ::: 2002 Trailblazer LTZ ::: 4.2l I6, 114k miles, 4WD, two-tone gray/dark gray leather, sunroof. 3.42 (GU6), hitch/tow package (of course), rear air/radio, dual auto climate control, rain sense wipers, essentially loaded with every option except Bose, seat heaters, and limited slip differential. $7500 or make offer I'm the second owner, bought it at 52k miles and I've kept her VERY well taken care of. Serviced the transmission annually, with genuine ACDelco filter and fluid; the transfer case with ACDelco autotrax, and the differentials with Mobile 1 synthetic. Oil is ALWAYS Mobile 1. Coolant flushed at 75,000. Brakes changed and completely flushed with synthetic DOT3 in March. Passenger wheel bearing replaced in March. No bullshit. I've worked on GM's for years and raced 3800 cars, I know how to take care of GM vehicles. She's lifted and ready for winter's worst, with the following modifications. I spared no expense on the parts, and do the job right: + K&N Drop-in Filter + Full LiftMeister suspension lift + Front Bilstein HD shocks + Z71 rear springs shocks + 1.5" Fred Goeske wheel adapters (very high quality) + 255/75/17 Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor tires + Brand new CV shafts (front axles) from Rockauto with the good boots so they stand up to the lift. The lift was installed last October, tires (and all lift parts) have about 8000 miles on them. Spare tire and winch system (seized) have been removed. Still have the spare. Three year alignment purchased with NTB [Derek](in October as well), transferable to new owner so you'll have two years left. Tastefully appearance modded with the following: + 15% Matched Tint Front Windows + Debadged + Removed OnStar Antenna + 4300k HID's w/ tblazed DRL killer (installed last July, not one problem with them - even under 0 degrees) I'm selling because we're relocating to Washington, DC and I don't need a car there. I'm really sad about having to get rid of her too, I just got her EXACTLY where I wanted both in terms of performance and looks. I've been traveling to DC during the week since May, hence the low miles since the lift. So what's wrong with her? One thing. Yep, just one. The front brake pads have gotten glazed or something from sitting, and while she stops just fine, it's spongy. I need to replace them but don't know if I'll have the time depending on when you want to buy the truck. We can discuss this. I hope you'll take good care of her. She deserves it. PM me for more information and my phone number. http://www.columbusracing.com/excell/tb1.JPG http://www.columbusracing.com/excell/tb2.JPG

I went to India for three weeks in July. It was hot, dirty, smelled awful, but the food would make you orgasm (if you like Indian food).

    Hey guys...

    What's going on in here?
  17. I didn't say there was a small chance of it becoming a public issue; I said the worst case scenario had the smallest chance of being the scenario that became public. Nevertheless I don't disagree with you, whatever scenario that presented itself up to the worst case could have been corrected on the next model cycle (and likely would have) and thus the risk/reward gamble would have paid off. Just because they "cut corners" (which, by the way I don't believe happened here, I believe most of the defects are simply arrogance breeding negligence) doesn't mean they'll always or continue to do so. These issues very well could have been a string of isolated incidents and corrected in the future. We'll never know, and neither will anyone else outside of Toyota. But they'll take their licking now, lose some market share, break a few hearts, but they'll be back on top soon. Our best hope is that in the short term enough people choose to buy something domestic and it restarts a buy American renaissance - not likely, but wouldn't that be grand? Frankly I see this whole thing benefiting Ford and the Korean’s the most. But it's all going to be short term.
  18. They've got serious issues, sure, but they're hardly "done". What Toyota is doing is no different than many other automakers - they made a business decision based on risk/reward. In the "normal" course, they would have made fistfuls of money and refused to resolve/covered up known issues because it would cost magnitudes more money to permanently fix than to pay out several lawsuits and take a temporary reputation hit. Unfortunately, their risk has manifested in nearly the worst possible scenario (which had very low probability) but is now reality. They're just hurt. In a few years not many people will care or remember. http://userpages.umbc.edu/~cpaul1/theintegralworm/EthicalPaper_2.htm - pay specific attention to the first table, mid-page.
  19. Love my Trailblazer. Been solid.
  20. Wish, but not this year. Gave up most conferences in exchange for some classes.
