  1. Ken, I'm so sorry. That's terrible.
  2. On that note, anyone know why Spice closed?
  3. LOL http://arrachetachemise.qc.ca/archive/feels-good-head-0.png
  4. Grocery store bagels? Ugh. Go to any of: Block's Bagels Spinelli's Deli Barry's New York Style Deli Katzingers And eat a mostly real bagel. I wish we were closer to NYC.
  5. That's awesome. Pennock's is a great place, great community there.
  6. 17 years of friendship rocks, it sounds like you guys had a lot of fun together. I hope you find the same peace he has.
  7. You gotta think past closing and past the buyer-seller transaction. Just because the selling bank has a check in hand, doesn't mean they have transferred (cashed) the funds from the loaning bank. It can often be months before a bank finishes processing the transaction if it makes financial sense for them and it's perfectly legal for them to do so.
  8. A loan has origination and processing time, I promise you the money won't exchange banks until after 1.1.10 for the reasons I mentioned.
  9. It's more cost effective for the bank to: 1) Take a further loss on the house, because it's a tax write off. Losses are the in thing right now. 2) Cash paid now at the end of the year is cash on their books they have to pay taxes on. It's extremely common for a business to reduce their cash at the end of year. These are exacerbated if the new buyers got their loan through the same bank. Not only do both of these apply, but they got rid of other cash for tax savings by making the loan and they'll make money on the interest for the loan. In the end, it's much more cost effective for the bank to sell lower to a buyer with a loan especially at the end of the year unless they're dying to raise cash.
  10. I had a model of that. Boy is it sweet.
  11. Check out http://theexecutivesecurityconsultants.com - local company in business for 22 years with a local monitoring center that knows our areas. Owner Doug just put a nice wired system in my place at a great price, first year monitoring free, $25/mo after. My grandmother has had him for 15 years. He was out at my place checking things out within two hours of calling on a Saturday afternoon, I had a system less than three days later - it look ATT longer to set up my phone line. Tell him Chris Green referred you. P.S. Anyone paying more than $25/mo, call him, he can monitor most system types.
  12. If you're setting up personal email accounts separately from the BlackBerry server hosting your business email, no, your personal emails, call data, etc. are safe from the company. If you route your personal email to the company for use on the BlackBerry then yes they will have access to your personal email. Something to consider, with your BlackBerry under their control they could deactivate and lock the whole thing at any moment which would render the unit inoperable until the situation is resolved. Depending on how the usage policy is worded it may be completely legal as well. They could also deploy applications and other settings that could be used to poach your data, but this is malicious and unexpected. How much risk are you willing to endure for the convenience of business email, and how important is your personal data if it was compromised?
  13. All the cops I've talked to said it's happening *everwhere* and the uptick is particularly bad in rural areas for the exact reason you mentioned. Rural people are comfortable and tend to leave everything open, yet most have the same extravagances of suburban dwellers (large TV's, video games, etc.). We have a friend who lives near Athens and they always leave their cars unlocked, their home unlocked, that's just their way. The husband has thousands of dollars in guns and archery equipment unlocked and ripe for the taking. I really hope they don't get nailed.
  14. Sucks dude, it's a pretty awful feeling. CALL THE POLICE even after the fact just to make them aware!
  15. We had some done last year by Golf Galaxy at Tuttle, but it wasn't quick. Took about two weeks.
  16. My mouth does a great job at processing deer. Anyone want to share?
  17. Congratulations Jeff. Times sure do change, huh?
  18. I didn't list Tapatio and Cholula because I listed Valentina which to me is a better tasting product.
  19. I propose you should post the question entirely to get the benefit of differing opinion through open discussion.
  20. If you're a BLT man, make one with jalapeno pepper bacon (if you can find it) or a nice thick-cut bacon, avocado, and chipotle mayo. You will cry great tears of joy. For greater joy, add a fried egg. BELTA. You'll be my friend for life.
  21. Why are there values painted out in that print?
