  1. Yea I still want a tiller. Keep looking on cl for an old one but not many up still.
  2. Is it bad that this whole thing still confuses me lol
  3. said it does it all the time. I wanted to go look at it this afternoon but this rain shit sucks
  4. nope all that was done is what I posted. Not sure if he only phoned the two or they actually looked at it. I mentioned I too thought brakes but he said he no clue about drum brakes and has only dealt with disc
  5. Says mechanic says brake issue but transmission shop says the clutch pack isn't releasing reverse all the way? My first thought was it's the drum brakes. Never heard of a transmission issue like that. Says it feels like you're two-footing the pedals. Apparently his wife noticed 3 weeks ago and has been driving it and it's not gotten any worse. What's the odds the shoes are adjusted too tight or just hanging up?
  6. Awesome that would be great to get it done after all of these years. Thanks for the pm's and replies
  7. Replied to the pm. Here they are just in case some one can guess what size they are or what camera they came from. One is of my parents and the other is just my dad that makes it look like he's lifting a car off the ground. The one with the car has a residue that looks like some one had tape on it at one time. Not sure if it can be cleaned off or not? http://i.imgur.com/LOun027.jpg
  8. Hoping to use them as a last resort. They need to ship it off
  9. I have two negatives of my father that I've never seen a print of. There are around ~35 years old and I'd like to get them reprinted. Since these are my only two and I don't have any prints of them I am nervous about shipping them any where. I'd like to find a place that can do them around Columbus. I'd rather make the drive to Columbus than ship them off some where just in case they were lost. My pics are limited of him and he's been deceased for close to 30 years so yea. I'd rather have the negatives than nothing. Places like walgreens, cvs and the other quick labs can't do them. I have no idea what they were taken with.
  10. decided to walk on it. Ran great rode great but once warm the oil light came on a few times when coming to a stop. Oil was full but thin and dripped off the stick. Also, had some goop under the oil cap that looked like oil would if there was a blown headgasket. Dude said it was condensation. Oil on the stick didn't look bad, just old and thing but we walked any ways.
  11. pretty sure he owns/works at a lot. Said he can do it through the dealer or as personal. Dunno
  12. yea I knew that affected it. I don't know this guy so doubt he'd do that. Says he can do tax title and 30 day also if I dont want to deal with the bmv.
  13. that's no so bad but didn't think it'd be that much edit-will be using bmv in newark but doubt it's much different
  14. yea probably right. Tax and title price is what I'm mainly hoping to find.
  15. Does it vary county to county or? Trying to get an idea on what total cost would be at the bmv to get this done
  16. Would have called and reported it right away if it was me. Then I would have told her fuck her two weeks. No family and/or friends that could help you out with the baby until you find better placement?
  17. heat is most likely the issue. Swap those x clamps for some screws and washers and it should be good to go
  18. radiator is fine and transmission is full and fluid looks as it should
  19. Well it done it last year for a few days then completely went away. Now it's back. Downshifting from 2nd to 1st is pretty hard sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't want to upshift into 2nd either. Totally random and the last couple days I tried a few things to see if it helped or not. I was pulling over and turning the car off which seemed to remedy it for a bit but today I would just toss it into neutral and back into gear and it would be good to go. Might come back a few miles later or an hour later. I read online about a solenoid pack issue with these and that it might need changed. Supposedly sits on top of the transmission and can easily be swapped out? Also, a ton of posts about removing the battery tray and lubing up the kickdown linkage. Seems that the linkage issue is the most common on these. Any of you mechanics or previous/current neon owners had an issue like this? Since going into neutral then back into gear seems to have an affect on it I'm leaning more towards a gummed up linkage but wanted to ask here before giving it a shot. When it's shifting right it's smooth as butter so I don't think it's a major transmission issue.
