  9. valves need adjusted or just wore out? high mileage I assume? Is it really bad? Rangers are known for ticks anyhow

  12. I pulled the pin and rotated it. Everything seemed to be fine. How does one know whether the cam is out of time or not?
  13. I must have done something wrong. got it to tdc, marks aligned nice. Got it all back together and it's still not running It sounds exactly how it did when the tensioner broke and it jumped time.

  18. Got the pic. Thanks Yea the valve cover only takes like 2 minutes to get off so that's no sweat. Am I going to have to worry about one of the pistons hitting a valve since the cam isn't going to be rotating when I go to find tdc? Sorry if it's a retarded question
