  1. Thanks, appreciate it. It's hard to make one car do everything, so building a reasonably fast, reliable, comfortble, daily driver along with a balls-out race car IMO is the way to go. I felt my previous Supra was a compromise in both regards, so I wanted to go a different direction and build two dedicated cars. Plus it attracted WAY too much attention at my age
  2. He is selling the vette, so here are the specs in his ad: "383ci shortblock (Eagle crank, H-beam rods, Diamond Pistons, Double roller timing chain, Ported Oil pump, Comp Lifters) 244-248 comp cam Trick Flow 215 Cylinder Heads ARP Head bolts FAST 90mm intake Ported LS2 TB MTI Ram Air 30lb injectors SLP underdrive pulley Kooks 1 7/8 stainless steel headers Ofrroad X-pipe Custom catback exhaust RAM Twin Disc clutch Mcloud Adjustable master cylinder B&M Shifter All parts profesionally installed at Horsepower Engineering. Car dynoed 504rwhp N/A. This thing is a beast from a roll." Add the shot he was spraying and it made sense that it was a close race. There's a video of it floating around on the LS1 forums somewhere....during that video I started at his rear bumber and ended at his door when he shut it down. The second race we started together and I pulled about a half car...but he someone lost that video
  3. Thanks. Won't know until we finish it, but I didn't sell the black Supra for a slower version I'll bring it down later in the summer if there's a race worth coming down for.
  4. I appreciate the vote of confidence , but it's nowhere near as fast as Cavin's Supra. It's probably a bit quicker than your average bolt-on car, but I got smacked around hard by a number of Supras down in Tx last month that Cavin's car could put buslengths on. But for a nice weather, quiet daily driver, it's a cool car
  5. Getting some secret work done in Louisville? I thought all your bottles were so carefully filled at IPS? So if your car is temporarily retired, who are you passing the baton to?
  6. Sure, doesn't matter to me.
  7. Hey Linn, since you're the guy I hear I have to beat to get the better races down there, how about you and I go this weekend? My GT2 is more show than go, so your big ci sprayed V8 should walk my bolt-on 6 hard. Say 40 roll?
  8. I think two weekends ago, maybe even last weekend, not sure.
  9. No it hit the viper/bike/local forums hard the day after, but everything was deleted until insurance is settled.
  10. Almost killed him and his passenger. He has pics, but until insurance is settled, it's low key.
  11. That happened to a Viper Cavin almost bought (that I talked him out of :)two weeks ago. Relatively new driver in a 1k hp viper, lost it racing a bike, hit a concrete wall at over 150 mph, totalled the car beyond recognition and was lucky to walk away....
  12. Sam, relax. Cavin has emailed me 50 times about this car, he knows he can't run it balls out on a race like this, at least for quite some time. I told Cavin I'd be happy to help him learn the car if he decides to keep it. No big deal either way. I'm sure I'll run Chris later this summer in my new Supra from a dig, I just wanted to see him get a fair race
  13. In all seriousness, this is not a race you should be driving. If you want to give Chris a rematch, let me know.
  14. Before you do, you should let it run Chris for shits-n-giggles.
  15. I know he started it once....let it idle too long....fouled the plugs....and sent it back to Don at Accelerated Performance. I think unfortunately I've seen it more than he has
  16. Hey Chris, I'd love to run your new set-up. If Cavin would let Don or I run the Supra before he sells it, should make for a good video....I think it would give you a hell of a run on kill mode
  17. That sight has been virtually dead since after the holidays....I assume no one wanted to renew it for 2007.
  18. Howard, I believe you have been an asshole and a dick in your responses towards JP. I felt these were bandwagon comments taken to a personal level towards someone you do not know and generally have nothing to do with. I would respond in a similar way again to someone I actually knew (and have on our local forums). So it's not personal. Regarding your CR post, I actually forgot you started that one until I just checked. So your hard-on for JP has caused my reaction back to you. Again nothing personal since I've never met you. I'm sure you're a decent guy. Maybe I'll meet you at the next Supra meet and we can put this behind us.
  19. Of course you'll hear good things from this board. But you are smart to enough to realize you can't always believe what you read on forums....on any subject.
  20. Some random smart-ass posted the same gay thread over on RC and he ended up looking like a moron. This forum was dead until JP came on last year and you of all people should know that. Go check your hit/post rates since he joined relative to the prior year....or do you not know how to do that, Mr. Moderator? But in the end who gives a fuck what you do. Just rebrand this forum IPSnutswingers.com. Hell, you (IPS) should ban everyone from out of town since if virtually any of our local shops decided to open up in Columbus after hearing about the bullshit IPS puts out, IPS would be gone in 6 months.
  21. Do my homework on a 10 sec Columbus Mustang? Shit, there are dozens of them in Akron alone. Sorry.
  22. What are you missing? No results? Are you serious? I think he's about the only guy on this board that has taken his junk to the track this year. Too many times for you to count on both hands. His car has been all over the internet since spring. The reason no one has seen it in Columbus this year is 1) there is nothing on this board worth his time to drive 4 hours to run except for supposedly one car and 2) that car has been sitting at IPS since last year.
  23. You're on these boards enough to know that isn't true. JP was trying to get down to Columbus for the past 2 months. I won't mentioned why he was waiting since it gets everyone down here in such a bitchy mood.
  24. John, Although I obviously never anticipated this happening, you have every right to keep my money. So absolutely no hard feelings if you change your mind. I called you out, so it's your call....or if you want to keep the lock-in cash and work a race out between the two of us, I'm cool with that as well. As for still getting a group of us together, we're still planning on it. As soon as you guys are ready, let me know. Stay safe
  25. That's usually a perfect excuse as we'd never really know if folks would have come up even if they had two weeks notice, but fair point.
