  1. I completely agree. But Joe is a pretender....that's the difference
  2. I travel every week and when minor shit came up with my car, I always figured out a way to get it fixed before the weekend. Yes, it was a pain sometimes, but you do what you need to do. If Joe really wanted to race me and thought he had a chance, he wouldn't have bitched out...
  3. This is what Joe told me yesterday: "My ignition wire harness melted in half this weekend rendering the car inoperable. This occured after the dyno tech took the harness loose to gain access to the coil trigger wire because they could not get a clean signal on the plug wires. Needless to say he did not secure the harness when he took the tach pickup off." Not sure why he couldn't get it fixed over a 10 day period, but that's his decision. I have had a deposit on the Supra for a few weeks now and the new owner was cool enough to wait until after I ran Joe to pick it up...in fact he was bringing his stacker to Columbus that night to watch the run then load it up and take it home. I am now meeting him tomorrow am as he really wants it. He does not live in Ohio, but plans on traveling with it on occasion as he also runs an outlaw pro mod team. I'm REALLY glad this particular guy is buying it, as he has some cool plans for it, so stayed tuned
  4. Good run Sam. I love how the peanut gallery always asks for better video
  5. Well as I've said before, I've got a number of years on most of you around here, but unfortunately never grew out of the modding bug. The problem is the more money you earn, the easier it is to piss it away. I'm afraid of adding it all up!
  6. I've been told spring 2008. I'm thinking RS orange. But I may wimp out and get white. Not sure yet. New races to come summer 2008. But don't expect much next year, it'll take awhile to get it really tweaked.
  7. All Hertz did was put a pin clip behind the TC button. Takes 15 seconds to remove. I know, because I've rented a couple in California. You should have seen how much caked on rubber the underside of the bumper had when I returned it....I've never had more fun in rental
  8. There's a number of us from Akron/Clev/Toledo heading up there Sat am. I'm trailering the black supra up there for some racing afterwards with a local buddy of mine who knows the scene well. Good luck. I heard they think this will be the fastest grouping of any race to date....
  9. Oil. Their family was part of the "Midland four."
  10. Richard Gooding is Carty's son-in-law who does most of the family's racing. They also have a Murci and Enzo. Could be totally different people, who knows. There were 3 F1's in Colorado, though so perhaps there is a twin Bugatti too.
  11. Not sure, Carty is affiliated with a lot of things His son drives and runs an uncompetitive pro-stock team when he feels like it. They also campaign a decent TROPHY truck. I know Carty has run Cup cars before, but I'm not sure what he's up to this season. Maybe he was just a guest, who knows.
  12. I'm 99% sure that's Carty Beal's car....my best buddy's father-in-law. Doubt there are two same color combo Bugatti's in CO, but who knows. He just got it about 2 months ago. He drove it to Utah, not Ohio. But regardless, he drives it from Texas to Aspen all the time anyway. He put 45k miles on his F1 before he sold it last year. I'm heading out to Aspen later this summer to drive it....I'll be sure to get some roll-on videos
  13. You were a lot closer to me than I thought....
  14. Is everyone too tired to start talking shit? I know I am after getting home at 6:30 am and my wife taking no mercy on me starting at 9:30.... John, Tilley, Sam, great finally meeting you guys. And even you too Ricky. I wish I was able to meet some more of you.... You all have a much bigger and overall nicer scene than we do at the moment up north. Hopefully someone has some decent video of the highway runs. Sam, we should have gone out onto the highway to do some dig racing. 670 and parts of 270 were completely empty after we left the projects. I was going to call you, but was exhausted. We dig race on the highway up in Akron....it's 3 wide, concrete, and a much safer than the spot you took us. Hats off if you run high hp cars two wide there, you have bigger balls than I do. Look forward to seeing you guys again and meeting those who I wasn't able to introduce myself to. Jamie
  15. Now little ricky, don't be all shy tomorrow night
  16. Ricky, You a pretty sad individual who needs to get a life and stop stalking. Second, don't believe everything you read on the internet....so keep thinking you know what's going on
  17. I call BS! Although I don't obviously know you well, you built that car back in 05 to race, not win show-n-shines
  18. You've waited long enough for this car John, so we're just trying to help you with previous experience so you don't get pissed off losing to much slower cars...
  19. Even with a smaller rotor/caliper? Depends on how much hassle that is. If others are hooking 1000+ with a 16" ET Street, then you've got your answer. I've never tried 16"s.....I ran 15" Bogarts and Welds.
  20. I've had all three. John, as I mentioned to you last year, you're going to smoke the 18" BFG's under 3rd gear, and maybe through 3rd depending on your powerband.....unless you can routinely do safe burn-outs right before you run. Forget about the Nitto's -they're junk. Who gives a shit about tire wear? Go with as small a wheel as you can get away with (ideally 15") and the widest ET Street you can fit rolling the fenders and you'll have a decent set-up. Then swap on your 18"s when you are just cruising. Personally, I'd start with 18" BFG's and see how they react at higher boost when both cold and hot and go from there....
  21. Actually 15 months to be exact....with about 2 months of total work time Too long of a story to type, but it's finally on a truck tomorrow coming home. Needless to say, the "kit" wasn't even in prototype yet when I shipped it out to the only shop crazy enough to tell me they would do it. That and well, nobody was quite aware of what it would take to get it done. JP is right, I've bought 3 cars in the meantime and sort-of forgot about it. But seeing it for the first time last week made me realize how kick-ass that S4 really is....
  22. Perfect. I'll text Cavin to see if he's cool with this. If not....I guess we'll watch him do wheelies all night.
  23. Don's heart beat rarely reaches 45 beats per minute and that's only if you tell him we're heading to an airport, so I think he'll be able to handle the aftermath
  24. Perfect. Tell them to pick amongst themselves who gets the beat down I want this on tape.
