Yea, it was god seeing you guys again. Sorry for the weak last attempt at a motor race with some of our guys, but oh well, probably for the best since we were attracking a lot of attention towards the end of the night. Maybe a Trent and a few of us will come back down in a couple weeks if we have a weekend night in the 50's and folks want to run one last time....

Shanton, my S4 is finally being put back together. After a long delay trying to figure out how to sort out the many issues with GIAC and the CA shop who initially agreed to do the work, I talked Don at Accelerated Performance into helping finish the car along with Todd down at Protomotive (who built and tuned my previous GT2). I should have given up the GT ghost since every shop has failed at producing a reliably and/or fast running example to date, but I'm too emotionally tied into this damn thing to quit now . It most likely won't be done in time to run you this year, but happy to bring it down in the spring. I redid the entire interior in black with RS4 CF trim, and the exterior is of course still in showroom shape, so I can't wait to finally drive it again! -

Yea, it's a bit faster these days He's itching to run another bike, so maybe one of the hotshot Columbus bikes will make it up to Akron....

It looks like the new owner is coming up to Accelerated Performance to do some minor work on the car, meet Don, etc. and he was hoping to run a few races while he's in town. It should be in Akron on the night of the 20th if anyone wants to come up to run it.

If you're trying to avoid an audit trail, then break up the deposit beyond 30 days, or better yet, give the cash to a few friends/family and have them write you checks in return.

I have a blue 06 50cc Yamaha Raptor that I bought new last year for my 5 yr old who I want to move up to a 90cc next spring. It has maybe 10-12 hours on it and is perfect. I paid $1700 or $1800 for it. I'd sell it for $1300 if you're interested. Jamie

Well since I ran away from him on the first run when he was on motor, I didn't think I needed to switch to my B setting. Shit, I use to shred the tires in 2nd with the BC turned off, so turning it up does nothing for me until I'm in 3rd gear. And I needed the tires heated up to hook in 3rd anyway over 34 psi..... I would have run him a third time but he hurt the motor so the night was over at that point.

And you don't think I shredded the tires in 1st and 2nd? I wish I left 200 feet of black marks, that would have meant I at least was moving forward. Shit, I ripped through 1st and second like I was in neutral I'm looking forward to running you with our new cars. We should put money on that race.

But let's be honest, you had me by at least 2 cars, maybe even more, until I finally hooked in 3rd gear and starting pulling you. I was right at your back bumper when you let out. Like I said, if we went to 150 like we agreed, it would have been a different outcome. But you beat me fair and square. I even agreed to run you twice since I destroyed you on the first run. If I was all about winning, I would have told you that you shouldn't have messed around on the first run and a win is a win And 38 psi....you're talking out of your ass again....I don't even have that boost level programmed into the AEM BC. I ran Chris on kill mode, Steve on WG spring and you at what I normally ran the car at 34psi. I have three settings on the tru-boost....off, A and B....that's it. Anyone who runs that BC knows. I have always been upfront on how I ran the car. Hell, I even posted the dyno graph for everyone to inspect. I have never had anything to hide since I always ran that car just for the fun of it. Well until Mr. Single Viper started talking stupid shit. As I have admitted 50 times, it wasn't enough, your car was faster that night. And like we talked about the other night, when Jimmy gets out of the hospital, he'll run you again, your terms for 5k. Otherwise, you and I will run again once our new cars are both complete. We'll run your race, your terms.

Yea, Don up at Accelerated Performance is fixing the shitty previous engine work done on his Evo. The Evo should rock when finished later this year.

I'm still talking to Alex about it, but I just can't justify paying so much over sticker for an RS...although IMO in green, it's the best looking car EVER PRODUCED. In person they look even 10 times better!

Thanks guys. I can't wait to get it. I seriously doubt I'll go the F/I route on this car as I plan on having some fun on some road courses too. My intentions are to daily drive this one, so I'd rather not have the additional headaches. Sam, I hear the factory cast pistons don't like spray and the rods don't seem to be quite up to factory Supra quality. I figured spraying would end up costing me 10k+ to do it right....so let's see how badly you pull me on spray. Then I might reconsider

Seriously JP, you should go get an internship at IMS.... As if any of you actually cared, I just bought a new Z06 that is currently undergoing some minor work. Should be done around 1st week September. After getting screwed by North Olmsted Porsche over their allocation of a single 2008 GT2 (only 70 are being brought over in 2008)....basically the owner found out I was ready to order and said "fuck you, we're going to try to sell it for $100k over MSRP"....so I decided to go with a black American car that would shit all over everything they have on their lot I'm looking forward to driving my first domestic car and I think my only non turbo car that I can remember. Filling up at the gas station will be an entirely new experience for me.... I expect there will be some good races lined up after Labor Day. I'm happy to come down again. Who wants to drag me around in my bolt-on, all motor, pump gas Chevy?
