    Swappers day

FYI for those heading out for this, RT.62 is down to one lane for bridge repair smack in the middle of Johnstown. Duncan Plains is your best bet for a detour, it's the traffic light a mile or two before Johnstown. For those that want to skip the long line, http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=columbus+ohio&daddr=40.137547,-82.6953613+to:40.1458816,-82.6718256+to:Sportsman+Club,+Johnstown,+OH+43031&hl=en&geocode=FVjCYQId9okN-ylx3pC5wYk4iDEztbHP-GYy5A%3BFUtzZAIdPysS-yn_BAOhC0M4iDGvdSGFiHkW0A%3BFdmTZAIdL4cS-ylrNWkek0M4iDF3gFDKxisrKw%3BFd28ZAIdsoAT-ykJK4gCLUc4iDGhSIVxB1ap2A&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=2&sz=14&via=1,2&sll=40.137481,-82.663879&sspn=0.038058,0.066175&ie=UTF8&ll=40.140368,-82.635298&spn=0.304452,0.529404&z=11

  3. M&M is not open on Saturdays, Mike is a racer too and spends his weekends on the track or prepping for it.. Best time to reach him is between 9:30 and 10 am Mon-Fri.
  4. Not at all. It is wore and due for a rebuild but it has somewhere around 120,000 miles on it and numerous track days.
  5. I saw you in grid and was going to stop over but didn't want to break your concentration, looks like Wade had you guys working on something. We didn't get a garage this time, we are in front of garage 28 and to the left of grid. That storm had us scrambling, first to change tires, then to hold down the canopies from blowing away. Hope your tent and gear dries out for you.
  6. T5 from the same Camaro the 3.8 came out of. I should have some race footage after tomorrow, this afternoons race got delayed due to rain, and when I say "rain" I mean "monsoon"
  7. From this mornings warm up session. 1:45:40 according to the RaceKeeper.

  9. Thanks you for answering the question I ask myself everytime I see that driftard on TV. "Who the fucks cares what that Clay Aiken look a like has to say about anything automotive related?"
  10. if this is the Kenny I think it is, he is a very cool cat with a beautiful Camaro.
  11. Both actually. I started running NASA HPDE a couple of years ago, got my Time Trial license last year and then did the Mid Ohio Competition Licensing School Friday. I used my own car in the school so it wasn't too expensive.
  12. 17x8 35mm offset and 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Very minor curb rash on one wheel and a nick in one spoke of other wheel. I tried to capture the damage in pics but it is so slight it did not show. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t55/tinman_015/100_2143.jpg http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t55/tinman_015/100_2144.jpg Same wheels, one pic with flash, one without. $200obo
  13. Damn, what a weekend! Spent over 5 hours on track over three days, got my competition license Friday and competed in my first two races on Saturday and Sunday. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t55/tinman_015/tinman180s.jpg Piloting Black Betty into the carousel.
  14. HPDE/TT drivers meeting is at 7:30 http://www.nasagreatlakes.com/docs/2010/Mid-Ohio_July_Schedule.pdf
  15. Yup, the RX7. It's now up to it's PTD fighting weight.
  16. I need roughly 200lbs. of lead in any form or condition to melt down for ballast in the racecar. Any of you gun/shooting range peeps have a hook up or can point me in the right direction? Thanks.
  17. Racing in PTD, I'll be in garage 28.
  18. Some people just don't have the balls or brainpower to work all four wheels.
  19. Can't help you with the receiver but I have an extra trunnion style weight distribution head with 2 5/16" ball and a pair of spring bars.
  20. Maybe you should try going through a corner properly, then you'll get the real picture. I remember my first firsthand experience with drifting. Two weeks ago at BeaveRun for a NASA event, real racing for those that are not familiar with NASA, I overcooked the entry to turn four. I had options of what to do, go straight off, two feet in and spin, or hang the tail out and try to gather it up in the short straight leading into turn five, I choose the last option. Feeding in a healthy amount of countersteer and throttle I soon noticed tire smoke in my peripheral vision out of the driverside window. It was at this time I thought to myself, "So this is drifting... this is fucking gay, I just tacked on a second or more to my laptime."
  21. Now confirmed. Come check it out in person and speak with the creators of this beast. Also an excellent opportunity for those interested in Road Racing and HPDEs to get a feel for NASA and Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. I could use some fans in the stands for my Performance Touring debut too
  22. Rumor has it, there will be one at Mid Ohio July 24th or 25th during the NASA event.
  23. If Pontiac was still around, something like this could have been running around the streets in mass quantities. http://www.firebreathercar.com/
