  1. First, and I'm pretty sure the answer is no but I'll ask anyway, is there anything out there that sprays on, hoses off, and is effective? If not what's the best long lasting and easy to apply wax that doesn't cost mega bucks? Here's the situation, I have roughly 400 sq.ft. of enclosed trailer I'm trying to keep looking nice and routinely have to use a rather aggressive cleaner to remove black streaks.
  2. One more thing to consider, a racing brake pad is great for repeated high temperature usage. You'll be stopping once with stone cold rotors and pads and don't need a high temp pad that is designed for continuous abuse.
  3. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98110 Still street legal but only 186 rwhp. Can make over 200 on a non restricted tune or go turbo and get ridiculous.
  4. We stock carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, and 3003 aluminum at our shop and can cut to size and form to just about any shape you can imagine. We have access to other alloys as well. Feel free to give me a call at the shop, 614 261 5178, 6:30-5:00 Monday-Thursday I'm not a site sponsor so I understand if this post is deleted. I'm just trying to help others access difficult to purchase materials
  5. And if you do end up working grid, save me the first spot for the qualifying session.
  6. Solid and lightweight don't go hand in hand. Have you considered the high speed standard moon discs bolted to a lightweight readily available wheel?
  7. I don't go because Patterson might be there.
  8. A lot of new cars out there. I'm amazed at how many cars can be on the lead lap 7 hours in to a race.

  10. Purchase 80's race car http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98110 Stay stuck in the 80's. Have more fun than going in a straight line. Profit!
  11. Exactly. The finish can be restored but expect to spend $75 an hour for an experienced hand to do so. Or spend more money than a new grill would cost to buy the proper tools to try it yourself. And then spend exactly the amount of money a new grill would cost to replace the one you just ruined trying to do it yourself.
  12. Maybe one of you more internet capable people can find this one, Race for Glory. It's a super cheesy motorcycle racing movie but the opening scene represents very well what everyone on here would love to do, or maybe even has.

    Sad day for BBQ

Where does the love for City BBQ come from? Do people enjoy nasty, soggy, tasteless meat or sides that have less flavor and texture than the crap they leave on the counter for the old folks at the medicare lounge? RT.62BBQ has spoiled me. Far better than the southern chain of Sonny's and there is just no contest to anything else I've had in Ohio.
  14. :funny: at the tall and fat crowd.
  15. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t55/tinman_015/1085531872_ver1-6069.jpg 1989 RX7 GTUs, one of ~1100 made. Rust free car from North Carolina. Only the best was used in the build, http://www.norotors.com/index.php?topic=4555.0 Since this build thread was last updated there have been some changes, fully functional brake ducting, replaced the aluminum airdam with a factory TII piece and a new undertray to match, and a few other odds and ends. It currently weighs 2850lbs. with me(145lbs.)and 1/8 tank of fuel. There is just over 160lbs. of ballast bolted to the floorboard and the transmission cross member was built to put more required weight as low as possible, it weighs 60lbs. A tubular unit could be built shedding an additional 50-55lbs. In short the car could easily weigh 2470 dry. The stock tune makes 199rwhp with room to grow. With a proper tune it should make 210rwhp or more. The current tune made 185rwhp in early April weather, it was probably down a few ponies in the heat this summer. It is still street legalish. Clean and clear Ohio title and all the lights work except for the headlights which were removed. However I doubt it would pass an E check of any sort. Nothing has been done that would prevent a rotary engine being reinstalled. I pulled it out well enough to pass the 50/50 rule and continued to race that weekend but the body work still needs attention. I would like to get $8500 for it in it's current condition. I considered fixing the body damage and ask for more but I'm anxious to start the new project.
  16. Awesome event! Great weather, well organized, and some quick cars. Great to see some old friends and meet some new ones.
  17. I'm hoping for an action/documentary, not a comedy. There are some damn good stories on what happened in those races and if anyone can bring them to light on the big screen, it's Guy Ritchie. But if it's going to be a two hour GM commercial, it'll have to be set in the present and I don't know how well the stories can be told with current day cars in today's society.
  18. This has a chance to become a great car movie, even with a heavily involved GM http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2011/10/the_cannonball_run_remake_gm_c.html
  19. Word of warning, Cages and roll bars like this, the ones Jeg's sells, and any other "cage in a box" are usually bent out of ERW tubing which is illegal in most sanctioning bodies and will become illegal in all others in years to come. They fit like shit too. If you value your car, your life, or your money, custom is the only way to go.
  20. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/2640799736.html Willing to consider trades for pushrod era Mustang drivetrain parts.
  21. It's a simple advancement that will improve the car in many ways. Sure, Ford could keep the live axle and while their there letting things be, why not go completely retro and ditch modern EFI and revert to a carburetor? Hell, ditch everything and bring back the flathead. If you want a 60's muscle car, buy a muscle car from the 60's.
