  1. Hmm, that ain't a zit. It would be a boil. They are intensely painful, and by the look af that one, he had a bit of gangreen setting in (the dark lart on the left). This is not something that should be screwed with and in reality can be deadly (very rare but possible). Boils are similar to a zit being that they are pockets of infection, but zits will not work downward and into a bone causeing a bone infection.
  2. I am assuming that you mean harassed by the police. Thing is that if you get party plates, you give up your right of probable cause for being pulled over. Any law enforcement officer at any time he is on duty can pull you over, search your car and give you a field test. I don't know if our CR board law enforcement does alot of this or not but I know a couple sheriff's that take much joy in it and pull over a yellow plated car every time they get the chance. This goes with driving privilage, if yoyu want to drive, becasue it's not a right in this state you have to agree to this if the judge says so. He can offer you the ability to drive, but you have to have these plates, you have a choice, party plates or no registration at all.
  3. 1812 Overture... with about 5000 watts behind it. FTW.
  4. Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting...... Those cats were fast as lightning.....
  5. Watch for the bait and switch. I was in there buying a freezer. Wife picked it out and we made the deal. I went home and got the truck, when I returned they told me I bought a different freezer that was $50 less than the one the wife picked out and they had wrote it down wrong, but it was paid for and I needed to take the other smaller unit because that is what I paid for. I told them that it wasn't what the wife picked out and after much discussion I said just return the money and I would go elsewhere. At that point the guy finally involved a manager and it was taken care of. Now I can see one clerical error and would not bring this up except there was also a lady in there buying a washer / dryer combo that was having a similar "Well our salesman wrote down the wrong SKU and you bought the model next to it" thing to her too. So be aware of it. As far as the Woody thing, dealing with them is like dealing with a pawn shop, they have 'wiggle room' in the pricing and can make better deals on things if you try to chew em down. The woody thing will just part of all that. And it tells them there advertizing dollars are being well spent.
  6. I don't know why not. I figure that strewet racing wouldn't go over real well right there, but I figure that if we could get 50 or so guys together and go loiter right there, no one would even say anything. Figure that the cops there are either getting on shift and hve better things to do, getting off shift and really dont' give a shit. Or are hauling in someone and facing a mountain of paperwork that they will not have time to screw with us.
  7. That picture is priceless. A cop in a bomb suit removing a lighted sign. Fucking priceless. I am ashamed of Ted Turner though. His press release should be been worded more along the lines of We at Turner broadcasting deeply regret the fact that the people of MASIVECHEWSHITS, ARE TOO FUCKING STUPID TO tell the difference between a lighted sign flipping the bird and a bomb. We at Turner broadcasting will make every possible effort to find someone that is fucking smart enough to tie their shoe's in Masivechewshits and totally fund their bid for any political office at any level in hopes that it might do some good to not have dumb fucks similar to Ted Kennedy running the state. As for the rest of you shit-heads.... Darwin awaits...
  8. Sorry, I am a dumbass. I thought you were selling one. I wasn't paying enough attention. Good luck in your hunt.
  9. Interested.... When you say body only are you talking it's a roller, or is it Just sheet metal without steering parts, rear end, glass or anything else. Also, some sort of a price would be nice.
  10. Got to disagree on this one, sorry. I believe it's totally fair to blame parents for their children to be in a bad / dangerous situation. Here's why, if you number one not oonly know where your kid is, but how he/she is with and know something about that person as well. This is the one that everyone seems to forget. Being able to say that your kid is out running with Charles Manson then try to claim your not at fault when they catch Jr body parts rotting in the trunk of their car. You are suppost to be a parent and not let them run with Manson to begin with, this is the part that eludes people. Second part of the parent being at fault is that you are suppost to raise your child to know right and wrong to begin with so they don't want to run with Manson to begin with. And number three, as a parent you are suppost to teach a child to call home and get picked up and not make bad choices that their friends are making. My son is 17, and I never have had to go get him at a party because his buddies were drinking, but he knows to call if that happens. I walked a couple times as a kid, or caught a ride with someone else because the people I was out with decided to drink. I would never have a part in drinking myself, so I didn't attend many of those partys anyhow. Either way, your parents are responsible for you till you are 18, and in reality even after that. You can raise them to be productive or you can raise them to be criminals. I do conceed that when a kid gets a car and a job, then a phone is a requirement, but in the days of prepaid phones it's a tool to teach additional responsibility. My son is learning that now the really hard way. He decided to spin a bearing in my tracker, then not call home when the motor started ticking. When he did get it home it was knocking like the hammers of hell and then pitched a rod through the side of the block. He didn't call home and I took the motor out of his tracker to put into mine. BTW< anyone got a 89 to 92 Geo Tracker with a bad head around??????
  11. Hmm, looks like my car. Other than mine has a cowl hood, but its' just as tall. Good luck on your sale.
  12. It's rather interesting to see the ages of those replying, and their replys. Personally I agree that there is NO FUCKING REASON ON THIS PLANET for a 13 yr old kid to have a cell phone. And to those of you that were still sucking on your mama's tit when I was your age, and younger. Once you have a kid you too will understand that this is bullshit. Gee, went I was your age they didn't have cell phones, I seemed to have made it through those dark times ok, as many of us did. I will say this, if this is the group that will be running the country when I am old and gray, I am sure glad I smoke to hurry things along.
  13. Hmmm, Would you let your Dentist's wife do a root canal on you??? no. Would you let your urologist's wife preform a vasectomy on you???? no. Would you allow your lawyer's wife to defend you in a capital case???? Hell no! Because NONE of them are qualified to do the job based solely on the fact that their husbands do this for a living. SO, Why would we allow an ex-presidents wife to run the fucking country? What makes her qualified? Being a senator ain't enough. That's like saying that Coleman is qualified to be Governor because he is a city mayor, that does a pissy job at it to boot.
  14. I have heard the stories of Big Muskie crossing 70 back in the day. They shut it down for 3 days for it to cross. One day to get the dirt piled, one FULL day for it to walk across and one to clean up the dirt. It was built here in Ohio and assembled of course on site. It had its own power plant that produced enough electricity to run a city with a population of 20000. There are several sites, one including video of the rigging being cut with explosives as it was scrapped.
  15. Not sure if it was mentioned, but a reactor will produce hydrogen directly as a result of the heat involved with the reactor. This was the main concern with Three mile island. There was a large hydrogen bubble that formed in the containment unit housing the reactor. The concern was that it would ignite and blow the top off the containment building exposing the core. There was actually little concern of the meltdown breaching the containment building due to the heat. The containment building is lined in graphite, which will take temperatures greater than a meltdown could produce. I see what Eli is saying, but his point is really mute, due to the fact that the hydrogen produced in current reactors is not going to be enough to power even half the automobiles, and the chances of the federal government ok-ing additional nuclear power plants, or large scale reactors of any kind is not going to happen in our lifetime. So we would be right back around to importing our fuel supply once again, just from different countries than we get oil from now. But nothing changes, it's just the same game, just a different team on the field. I don't agree with this but it's still the truth, because people number one distrust the government and big business and two are basically fucking stupid, they believe that if a plant is built that all the grass in the area will turn blue, the little kittens will all be born with two heads and six feet and birds will begin flying backwards. Of course big electric will tell you it's not true because they are making money, big government will not tell you because they all lie, but some fuck tard that is telling them their cats will start barking and the dogs will meow is being completely truthful and is an expert in the field even though his PhD is in poly sci or psychology, and has never even studies nuclear science of any type. We have all sorts of technology that we can't use because of the fact that it's too far from the norm for people to accept and use. Turbine engines are a prime example, little turbines, the size of two 5 gallon buckets put end to end will produce 900 HP, more than enough to power a car, they are light, very efficent and simple to operate. The theory's have all been tested and the cars built. So why are we not running turbines in our cars and trucks? Simple, people are to fucking lazy to maintain them properly. A piston motor runs out of oil and it makes one loud bang and its' locks up, an turbine will explode. They need to be inspected for cracks and the like. It's not a big deal, but if you don't do it, the turbine can spray parts all over the place. Guess how is responsible at that point in our world of ambulance chasing lawyers, the auto manufacture of course for selling a product that could explode and kill someone. So we drive piston motor cars and electric cars that are so full of hazardous chemicals and materials in the batteries that it would take 1000 old diesels particulates running full out for 100 years to produce the same weight of crap. Ain't it great
  16. I need 6 16 inch truck tires. I currently have 215/85/16's on the truck but want to go to a taller tire for gearing. This is a dually and they will need to fit as a set and not rub sidewalls so mudders and the like are probably not going to fly. MUST be truck tires, load range od D minimium and would prefer E. If anyone knows of anything that's in good shape let me know. I would prefer that 4 match and 2 match if not all 6.
  17. Just remember what will be done with your bike if it's stolen. Most likely it will be stripped. So if you have the chain through the front rim or something that will unbolt or can be easily cut, it's not even going to slow the thiefs down. And only joy riders carry bolt cutters. Preofessionals are carrying torches, cutoff saws and sawzall's to section the frame apart to take it in pieces if need be. Why not just put it in a garage with an alarm on it and put an alarm on the bike and forget it, other than making sure the premimiums and gap insurance is paid up. Like you said, if they want it, and they know what they are doing, or even if they don't and are motivated, it will be gone.
  18. I do... I have a big fucking winch on my un-lifted 1 ton that tows them out of the ditch when their simple asses slide off the road thinking 38's and 4WD will let them run 50 on ice covered roads. I too agree with your statement, jacked up trucks are not good for much in the way of work. Trying to set a coutch or a fridge in the bed of a truck that the tailgate hits you at chin level, open is not real easy. As far as towing, screw that... There are two parts to towing, the obvious is pulling the load. My 1 ton will move 1 loaded (280000 lbs) or 3 empty train cars... I have used it at work to move them... mostly to see if it could. The other less obvious thing is stopping the load. Guess what... I can't stop a moving train car, loaded or empty. Stopping a trailer, with anything more than a go cart it with a jacked up truck is to say the least an interesting feat, and emergency stops... well lets just say you better have your insurance premiums up to date and your seat belt securely fastened. I am not saying that I don't like 4WD trucks... hell I would love to have a 3500 Diesel Dodge 4WD, but not to put big ass tires on and ruin it's ability to be worked.
  19. I don't know what to say. I drive a 26 foot 89 Chevy 1 ton dually crew that's been through a conversion van shop. All the interior, seats, running boards lights and other crap done to it. As far as taking it down on campus, fuck that. Maybe down the main drag, but not up those back fucking streets. I agree there is a time and a place, and down in that mess ain't it. My next step down is a Dodge Durango and its' only as long as the nose and the cab, and then a Geo Tracker that's the length of the bed. But out on the freeway, damn that thing rides nice.
  20. I was thinking the same thing that Andrew is. I don't think there are BOV's at all on a diesel, mostly due to the fact that you control the fuel and not the air to a diesel. As far as a waste gate, it really depends on if the turbo is big enough to build more boost than you are capable of dealing with on that motor. Here again , I am no turbo expert, but if the turbo is going to run ok down the line and you need only to watch the top side boost, I would consider a hobb's switch in the cold side connected to a light on the dash. Set the hobb's so that the light come on as you are reaching a point where you need to lift slightly. Like you said, this isn't a drag race, it's more of an indurance thing, and if you take it easy, and have the ability to kill the thing with boost for the last few laps and win the race, then why not.
  21. Are the headers for a small block or a big block motor?
  22. The dodge manuals are a NV4500 (5 speed) or a NV5500 (6 speed) and are used in 5 ton dump trucks behind the same 6BT Cummins diesel that is in the Dodge. We use that same 6BT 12 valve Cummins in our lot spotter trucks at work, these are pulling fully loaded semi trailers around all day and are rated to run down the road at 55 MPH with that sort of load on. Here is the current LSR (land speed record) holder, guess what it is for diesel trucks http://www.enjoythedrive.com/content/?id=30183 that of course is the 24 valve motor, which is in the newer trucks, but if you want a truck, and don't mind the rattle, this is what you are looking for. I will say that Chevy and Ford have the rattle pretty quiet, the Cummins sounds like a semi truck, they rattle, and compression knock some when you first fire them up in the morning, but that's the nature of the beast.
  23. I just looked it up in the book. It says to use the tool that goes under the glass and then back into the interior of the car to unlock it. Prying at the door on that car could warp the door and cause other problems. Call a professional to take care of it. This was for a vast majority of Mazda cars. what specific car is it? There may be another way, but I need to know what kind of car it is.
  24. Small turbo. find something down at deercreek truck off a small truck like a Mitsu or a Renault. You don't want some 88 or 90 MM deal for this. Even a smallish TO3 off a RX-7 or some small 4 banger would get the power up. Remember you are not trying to make 1000 HP off the motor, just get it awake. LPG (propane) is like nitrous if that is what you are talking about, it's only good for bursts of speed, and brings the exhaust temps way up fast, can't really put a 100 lb tank in and go like hell the whole time. Look at your pump design and see if there is a way to turn up and down the pressure remotely from the drivers seat. (other than the throttle of course) If it's a 24 hour run, during the evening, when the air is cooler and denser, you could put more fuel to it and make a bit more power. I would try to run a EGT gauge if at all possible if you are planning to do that though. Other than that, make damn sure that you have capacity with the trannie cooler, oil cooler and radiator to run the 24 nonstop hours. Only other thing I can say is look at running bio-diesel and not straight petroleum based stuff. I have heard/read a couple articles saying that it can make a bit more power, but I don't know how the sanctioning body will feel about it, so I would check into that first.
