  2. Could I interest you in a 90 TA that need a motor ???
  3. casting numbers on the heads please.
  4. fuel management system???? is that like a DFI (stand alone fuel injection or what? And I really don't know so don't laugh at the question.
  5. you got the second gear bearing race. similar to the common failure in the 350. That or you lost a retainer clip on a band. But either way, if it was not burnt and you just wanteding valve body and other parts moved I would be happy to. But a littlew dirt goes a long way to fucking up a tranny. And I don't want to be the one to leave dirt in it and have it strand you 2 months from now.
  6. Actually it IS an air cleaner from a large engine, possibly a semi truck but I have seen them on other industrial engines such as water pumps and generators. I would love to see the plumbing on that thing. I would say that is about the most screwed up thing I have ever seen.
  7. Yeah, take it to a pro. It you scattered the other one that bad, you have metal in the valve body that will need cleaned out. Also were the old drums stock or HD aftermarket. Running a brake and I figure a manual valve body it puts a hell of a strain on a tranny. Been through this with the turbo 350's more times than I care to count. Curious, I figure it either broke while the brake was applied or something happened and you turned on the brake going down the track? Am I right on either count or was it something else.
  8. As a side note, could you imagine just how strong that woman is. She carries 650 lbs everywhere she goes. For you 150 lb guys, that would be like grabbing a COMPLETE Chevy 350 and carrying it around everywhere.
  9. I like it. It ain't a fast car, but that has to pound.
  10. yes, you are right. When I said that it would help, that would only be effective if you were sucking it down at a gallon a minute, run of the mill talks are under pressure, mostly because gas, does have a low point of vaporazation, sort of like boiling point. And it is also sort of like pop, shake it and it will give off gases. But the system is presureized to stop emmisions, and to a small degree to keep the aromatic solvents (read Octane) in the fuel, which is the first thing to boil off.
  11. He's right on part of it.. THe reason for the tank to NOT be vented is emisions related, but unless you are sucking assloads of fuel from the tank, and you are not getting enough flow, then venting your tank would help. But only then.
  12. the lights on the trucks were cool. But I am REALLY into the light thing. As far as the cars. Damn them boy's like big exhausts. And what's with the coolers and lines on the front of the cars???

    MOD Mower

Looking to see if anyone has some old exterior mods I can slap on my riding mower. Wing, fart can, stuff like that. Doing it as a joke of course. If anyone has anything to donate I would appericate it. I can't see spending money on this though so I am asking for donations. If you have stuff that's tweaked or slightly mangled, that's ok to as I figure that I will have to piece this together anyhow.
  14. They may be at the factory, but then they are heat treated, something that DAMN FEW shops can do correctly. Buy an aftermarket if you are going to do road courses and the like. Leaving it off is also an option, but it will screw up the handling alot, so unless you just want to go fast in a straight line, and creep around corners, replace it, and upgrade the bushings and mounts while you are at it. It will make a world of difference in the way the car corners.
  15. He's got me working on it now. It WILL be a fast vehicle soon enough. BTW, you really need to bring that back out here so I can finish tuning it.
  16. Alright. This is done. A guy ask if anyone knew a car and this turned into a ricer fest and see who can be a bigger ass. This shit is locked.
  17. I am not going to go techy poastal here, but there are 2 basic types of CAT5 1. Infrastructure cable (goes in the walls) 2. Patch cable (Duh, name says it all) The in the wall shit is always solid conductor, and has fits into two catagory's plenium and non-plenium. Plenium cable is designed for being run in drop ceilings that are cold air returns. Non-plenium is designed to be run in non air handleing areas. And really its' the makeup of the outter jacket. Plenium will not burn easily and gives off less toxic flumes than non-plenium because the non-plenium stuff just uses PVC for a jacket. The patch cable, is stranded wire due to its greater flexability and ability to be bent numerous times without the inner conductor breaking which would happen if it WAS solid conductor. Solid is ok for in the wall because once it's in the wall it doesn't get moved much at all.
  18. Geee, all patch cables are stranded wire. There are even two types of RJ 45 ends, one for stranded and the other for solid.
  19. OK, we will figure something out. Call me tomorrow night 740-967-4324 after 6 PM
  20. Was it a rod or main that spun? Rod means crank and at least 1 rod, main means it needs line bored. If it's a four bolt, I might consider it. What cylinder bore is it, size wise??
  21. hmmm, I will look and see what I can come up with. I know I have some DELL DDR memory, butI don't remember the manufacture off hand. I will get that info tomorrow. How big a drive?? and as far as CPU, cooler running or better cooling? I can see about getting a really good solid copper heatsink and fan a buddy has. He went from it to water cooling and is a big time over clocker and this heatsink worked well for him
  22. What are you needing for the PC maybe we can work out a trade.
  23. I have two copies of the service manual for that welder. One of em goes with it the other is your Dave.
  24. When you say needs built, is th machining work and everything done, or is it a motor that you pulled and took apart to freshen. Needs built implys that it need everything, needs assembled to me means machined, all new required parts are there and it need put together.
