  1. I will sell any part of it as well. $500 will buy the welder.
  2. Zero Lash. It's a hydraulic cam. Run it down to zero, where there is NO play, then give it a quarter turn more on the nut for proload. As far as I know ALL hydraulic cams are like this, even the rollers.

    Work Truck

Here's what everyone needs. A good work truck. Plow, salt spreader, big GAS POWERED welder, that you can TIG with, I will provide the TIG torch and all the stuff necessary to TIG with other than a regulator and a bottle of argonTruck is setup, has tank rack on it for either Oxy/Acy cutting and welding outfit or argon tank. Tool box for carrying tolls and supplys. GAS POWERED air compressor, 5 horse Brigs and Stratton motor, runs well and airs up 20 gal tank fast. Seats are updated with Seats from a Cutlass (like sitting on a couch to drive). Heavy duty pipe and material rack that is easily removable, class 5 hitch, fully wired for trailer except electric brake module. Base Truck is a four wheel drive Ford F250 400M with a C6. Bed is custom hand built, heavy headache rack (roll bar) 3/8 steel deck flat bed. Custom front bumper, with anple lighting (500 watts total plus factory headlights) 85 AMP alt. Runs well, but buyer should not be concerned about fuel mileage when buying this truck. Good, hard working truck. Not pretty, but ready to be worked hard. $1500 buys the whole setup, welder, plow and salt spreader, and the welder. If you are not interested in welder and compressor a better deal can be made. Will also consider trades for car trailer or other items. [ 30. July 2004, 04:01 AM: Message edited by: desperado ]
  4. There any of this still around. IF so is it solid or stranded wire? And what jacket is on it? By that I mean is it plenum cable or not?
  5. Tell him that I will trade him a plow truck, with plow, salt box, air compressor and Lincoln 200 SA welder sitting on the flat bed for it. If he is at all interested PM me of have him call me at home. 740-967-4324. Only thing is, will it haul a car, if not I am not interested. The rear gate is not a big deal if it will not hold a car, but the trailer has to. I can build heavier ramps if needed. http://www.foornet.net/images/plow1.jpg http://www.foornet.net/images/plow2.jpg If not I am very interested if there is something specific he is looking for, and I would like to work out a trade of some sort.

  7. What is the price. I have a 90 Trans Am sitting here with a fresh 355, but its a carb motor and a 200r4. The more I have thought about it, it would be easier to have a car with injection instead of converting all the rest of the car to run a carb motor. Also, with that big am impact, what does the balancer look like. I Have seen more than one case of a hit like that, doing a number on the thrust surface of the crank and bending the crank snout.
  8. Yet another Nitrous Install Hoax. Nothing to see here, move along.
  9. What? No Spinners??
  10. Dude, we are not talking about a ricer wing here. That is the trademark of that car. It is the only car ever that had that. And I would LOVE to see if a ricer wing was as strong. There were several dealers that had pics taken of a salesman standing in the center of the wing. It's not a decoration, it was there for a reason, and it was fuctional. Yuo all can scoff all you want at rice. But please refrain for making comments about an American ledgend in the musclecar world.
  11. You need to send me this, I have a label printer at work and can print them on sticky labels 4X6
  12. I could get behind that myself and volinteer to Mod it as well
  13. RWD cars launching > AWD or FWD cars launching
  14. NO SORRY, this car is what stopped inovation in NASCAR, because it was SO much faster than anything Ford had, and Bill France being a dumbass, this was the last time that a car was built for the speedway, and produced only to make it a legal car for NASCAR racing. Ford was gong to build a similar car ( the Torino GT or something ) but Bill France stopped Ford, and illegalized the Superbirds and Daytonas after only 2 years. Which was a real shame, and one of the biggest reasons that Dodge dropped out of NASCAR all together. And for those of you that are anti Dodge. COnsider this. EVERY TOP FUEL AND FUNNY CAR, uses a Dodge designed engine. The Hemi, the bodies are different, but they are ALL hemi's. They built the quickest full production car, until the GNX. They won more races than anyone until they quit NASCAR. And it took several years before Ford finally won as many races as the Mopars. Yes, they rusted out, yeah, you had to work on em to keep em running. But, for those of you that still pray to the gods of carburation and solid lifters, you know that racing motors need maintained to run at top performance. You guys that tune with a laptop and a dyno have no idea how to tune with a stop watch, a timing light and a box of jets. If you did you would show more respect to those that do this.
  15. You should be banned for even compairing this car to a ricer. These were the fastest car built. They went into production to run the speedway, and when they took the track, NOTHING was close. The average speed for NASCAR at the time was about 160, these cars were turning 200 MPH laps, which is FASTER than the cars run today due to restricter plates. And don't forget that todays NASCARS are a high tech piece of equipment, The guys that raced these, went to the dealer, picked one up, caged it, put on headers and a big oil pan, changed tires and raced it. AS it came from the factory.
  16. The car is worth that, IF it is the real deal. I would have to say that I would never buy a car like this without looking at it very carefully, and having an expert look it over as well. The car will continue to increase in value as long as some dumbshit doesn't buy it and drive it. That is what makes this car worth so much. And yes, there were people that bought muscle cars and put them away, I know where a Plymouth GTX is sitting that was driven from Spitzer Dodge to Pataskala, put into a garage and sealed up. The car is started once every two months and is heat cycled. It is setting on stands with pads. And will require the removal of a wall to get out of the garage as the door was removed and a wall built a year after the car was bought. No one is real sure about the value of that car. But it easily is worth more than the house that it sits in. There are a few of these cars across the US. Cars bought as the price of fuel doubled and the prices of the cars fell. They were at the time, impossible to sell. Now these cars that no one wanted are the most sought after vehicles on the planet.
  17. Can we get back on topic please. Everyone has their opinion about cars. They are entitled to it, even if it is about pink paint and a big wing. Getting slap happy about some one elses opinion, will get you edited. Subsiquent offences will get you a strike. Yes, if you think I am an asshole you are correct. But I am still the Mod, so get over it.
  18. I have 3 Goodyear's 245/40/17. Need something similar size but 16 inch. Or a set of 15 inch 255 50/60 15 rears to swap for these.
  19. regular carpet or car stuff?? If you want regular flat carpet, go out to JC Carpet, tell him what you are after and that Keith Foor sent you. Talk to Jim Costlow, he's the JC in JC carpet. I figure that he will have what you are after.
  20. VoIP is da shit. Got it at home, and it rules. Free long distance, good quality sound on it. There is nothing that I can say bad about it and I to phone work all the time so I know what should and should not work and how a phone should sound and all that crap.
  21. 4 wheel drive and a power to weight ratio of a funny car. Those are 1/10 scale cars. Electric powered. The gas will do it as well. There are probably 20 different tire compounds around for them. Everything from drag tires, to super hard tires good for drifting. To give you some idea of the spped of these things, there are electric rail dragsters that will run 3.2 in the scale quarter (132 feet) they trap over 100 MPH, and that is true speed, scale speed, will be times 10.
  22. Why in the hell has this turned into a discussion about morals. STFU about right and wrong, you all want to preach, find a church. This is a discussion about employment, not about what's right. Back to the boobies!!!!
