I appericate the offer, It's really not the cage that I am concerned with, I have all the tools, TIG welder, tubing bender, notcher and all that crap to do the job. It's what happens while I do it. I start with a cage, it will turn into a 12 point cage, because it's a unibody I will need to put in outriggers both front and back. With the work required to put the rear outriggers in, I will be better off to come clear across. At that point I will decide to go buy a 4 link for the car, and then it will be getting *** Ford 9 narrowed, and new rims and tires and on and on. I can afford to buy tubing, it's the rest I can't do right now that I will find the money for anyhow tha I need to be spending on the truck I am building. I just know that I will get overkill with it, and the car will be down for weeks. But I still might do a cage and try to remember that I can't do it all right now.

You know, 15 yrs ago when I was in school, a kid told you he was going to kill you, you laughed at him and kicked him ass. Finally felt comfortable with the Camaro enough to launch it hard a couple of times. I am finding that it's damn squirrely and I am getting ALOT of body twist. Since I have neither put the nitrous on it yet, or even started tuning the motor (carb still jetted for the 350 and timing is set at 25 degrees of advance and is locked out) I need to figure out something short of caging the damn thing to stablize the chassis. Any ideas. I have already tied the frames together front to back.

Screw all that! Buddy up with her husband, quietly find out if she has a brother but not from him or her. If not, or if he don't, catch him some day coming home, before he gets into the house. You are missing the point. The import scene wants to enter *** Prostock catagory, bring in the high tech, turbos motors, but they want the rules to say they can run what ever, but *** big motor cars have to remain N/A and no computers. ANd I don't see that as being fair. Back to the statement, some much air and so much fuel equals so much horsepower. Now a turbo will drastically increase the amount of air in, and EFI is completely tunable. SO if the rules say one can have it and not the other, then it's one sided. Because, the N/A motor will NEVER make the horsepower per CI that the turbo motor will. Now I realize that we are not going to be seeing 500 CI four bangers. But increaseing *** displacement, tip the field rather quickly, and distroy ProStock as we know it. All I am saying is this. Imports have a place in racing, and I am not saying that they don't, hell I am impresses that they do what they do with what they have. But it's like saying I will race you, but you have to take out your Blue bottles and flaten your tire so that I have an advantage. That is how I feel about the prostock thing. We went through this once before in ProStock. Buddy Ingrasaw (I think) brought a 231 turbo car to the Prostock circuit and cleaned house. Beating guys by a half second margin in a class that see's races decided by the thousandth and some times the ten thousandth of a second. And he got his own class. that no one else wanted in and he got out of racing a turbo buick. Imports can race, and I will show the fast ones respect, but don't try to take over a class that is well established by getting the rules set in your favor. So you specifically said it's run what you brung, and that's true, but tilting the field, by having the rules in your favor, either way is wrong.

Imports are fine, and can be fast, but the idea of pimping a car around, saying its fast and picking up women with it (and the STD's that go with those women) is silly. If you want to be fast, be fast, if you want to be a poser, be a poser, but don't think they are the same thing. As far as the import racing scene, yeah, running 11's with a 4 banger is impressive. But it's replacing cubic inches with technology, and stacks of cash. Consider this, take the technology of a 7 second import, and apply it to a 540 CI N/A drag motor that has carbs, and a standard MSD 7AL3 ignition. The twin turbos, the EFI system and the fully variable cylinder timing of a digital ignition system. And spray the hell out of it to boot. It's still faster. Now I realize that this Quantum place, went pimping a car around, claiming it to be fast and not even building it. Which is bullshit. ANd these guys in Cinci are all most likely laughing their asses off about that. But fact remains that while both shops are building 11 second imports, that cost 40000, or more including the car to own. I am, and alot of guys are, building 9 second cars on a shoestring, and will whip the shit out of the imports by several car lengths. So I guess in a round about way, these two shops are saying my shit is faster that your shit, and they are going back and farth, I am saying my shit is faster than either side of the table has put out of their shops, so shut the fuck up. You are into drag racing, so you know that the import guys want into ProStock, to run against the V-8 cars but they want to keep their technology and leave all the technology the same on the V-8 cars. This is the crying bullshit that I see. Motor science is not difficult. So many cubic feet of air and so many pounds of fuel equal X amount of horse power. If you crap enough air and fuel in a 4 banger it will produce the same power as a prostock 600 CI motor. But it's sissy bullshit to take technology, and say my shits faster as long as you can't use the same technology as I am. And BTW, just what defines a street car anyway? Lights, exhaust, windows and a horn. Oh and DOT tires. Ohio doesn't have much of a requirement, so my erector set, with the sheet metal around it, is getting lights and a horn.

Hate to break it to ya, but that crate motor is 1300 horse. And is gonna propell my erector set into the 6's and with spray WAY into the 6's.
