  1. Jerry's Ford Lincoln Mercury in Leesburg, Va. (About 35 miles NW of Washington DC.)
  2. That's what I thought. Did you get the heated/air conditioned front seats? Those are sweet! Personally, I'd go for the bench seat as well.
  3. It jumped 25% when Mel Karmazin announced that he would take the reigns as CEO at Sirius.
  4. Congrats on the purchase! I used to sell those in VA. Very nice truck! When you say split bench seat, you mean in the rear right? The rear captains chairs were an extra cost option that not a lot of people knew about, and most dealers didn't order any because of the obvious reason, that you lose seating capacity. If the truck proves too big for the little lady to back up safely, the "you're about to hit something" sensors can be added aftermarket.
  5. I can't believe that there is any question about the fact that the Marine pictured did what he needed to do to protect himself and his platoon. The Mosque was a safe haven for insurgents who fired on another platoon the day before, and those people have established themselves as guerrillas, with their actions. For all that Marine knew, in the hours between the previous platoon's entry into the Mosque and his, there could have been any number of people enter and rig explosives to the dying bodies of those people. With that mindset, I'd have shot the guy too! I don't think that anyone can judge that Marine unless they were standing in his shoes at that particular moment. Whether obviously armed or not, the threat was there.
  6. Hey, if you can, go for it. graemlins/thumb.gif Enjoy the ride!
  7. What kind of damage on that side? Is it still drivable?
  8. That sucks! Sorry to hear about that.
  9. That's cool that you wanna spend time with your dad, but don't think that you have to buy a Harley to go road tripping with him. If it's really about the time and the experience, just about any bike will do. If I were you, I'd probably pass on the Harley and head for my local Honda or Yamaha dealer for one of their cruiser style bikes. Anymore they've got the same styling, and most people can't tell the difference anyway, but for much less money. Don't get me wrong, I love Harleys, but at the end of the day, you'll get the same sore ass and numb nuts no matter what kind of bike you're riding. Of course, if you wanna pick one up for me, I wouldn't complain.
  10. Just FYI, from All Foreign, I was quoted $1200 for a P code engine with 83k miles. No warranty, part only. I guess the Y code engine is a little cheaper at about $800. Little steep for my blood.
  11. A small chicken and a horse were walking through the woods one day, when the horse fell into a huge mud hole. The horse yelled at the chicken to go back to get the farmer to help him get out. The chicken ran back to the farm, but couldn't find the farmer anywhere. The chicken eventually made it out to the barn where the farmer kept his Harley and his rope. The chicken jumped on the Harley and grabbed the rope, and went back to the hole. The chicken threw the rope to the horse and told him to hang on to the rope which was attached to the back of the Harley. The chicken managed to get the horse out of the mud hole and put the Harley and the rope back where they were, and the farmer was none the wiser. A couple of weeks later, the chicken and the horse were walking through the woods again, and the chicken fell into the very same mud hole. The chicken said "Just go back to the farm and get the Harley and the rope, and come back and get me out." The horse though thought, "I don't know how to ride a Harley." At that time, the horse had a thought... He said to the chicken "I'm going to stand over the mud hole, and you just reach up and grab that hangy thing underneath me. I'll pull you out that way." The moral of the story (yes, there is a moral) is that when you're hung like a horse, you don't need a Harley to pick up chicks. graemlins/lol.gif Sorry, seemed appropriate.
  12. Auto or Manual? 8th digit of vin P or Y? 3.0 or 3.2 liter? I got a couple of prices today for used engines, and that stuff all makes a difference in how much the engine will be.
  13. I'm sure that many people just stopped looking at my other thread, so I'm making a new one. The other thread can be found here. The milage is currently 153k. This car has been my daily since I've owned it, and would make someone an excellent winter car, being fwd and all. Bottom line, if you or anyone you know might be interested, put them in touch with me. I need to sell this car so that I can buy some presents for my two kids. [ 13. 15. Ben came over last night and helped me out. It would seem that I've now been able to create my cardomain web page with at least one pic, and it seems to work ok now. Gonna add more stuff to it later. Thanks Ben! graemlins/thumb.gif
  16. Ok, another question: Why can't I save those images to my computer?
  17. From the Car Domain Page setup screen: Use the following tags to emphasize text and add links on your page. Please do not use HTML code (HTML code is not displayed). click here for more help. Thanks for that info though.
  18. I'm trying to set up a web page on CarDomain, but I can't seem to get my images to work. Can anyone help me? Images are at http://members.aol.com/BHowe79/Caddy/ can anyone help? On a side note, how do you change something like the above link to read what you want it to, instead of just copying the specific address into the post?
  19. May be interested, my Goldie needs a friend to keep him company. Gotta talk to the wife...
