  1. That's kind of what I was thinking, but instead of not putting a second floor over the lift bay at all, just make sort of a raised floor up there. If you keep the ceiling as low as possible, your shop space will be easier to heat in the cold winter months.
  2. I heard about this on the radio the other day (yes, I do listen to 610 AM on a daily basis ) and they said that it was available at Target. Jones has a couple of flavors that I like, but they've also got a couple of flavors that really just taste nasty. I would imagine that this holidy pack falls into the latter category. Somebody buy this and do a "Soda Review"!
  3. We've got an electric asymmetrical arm two post lift at work and from what I can tell, it would be the ideal home lift. the asymmetrical arms allow you to position the posts closer to the wall, and you can still open long doors without too much trouble (sometimes an issue for f-bodys and older coupes on symmetrical arm lifts). Could you make sort of a 3 or 4 step loft over your lift bay? that way, the high ceiling would clear your lift, and it would allow a little different floor plan to your apartment.
  4. +111000001! I won't buy another Cadillac unless it's new. And mine's only the pushrod 4.9! (But someone else should buy mine! I've already fixed the really expensive stuff! )
  5. Got openings for metal and paint apprentices at Auto Body. I can get you a referral if you want.
  6. http://www.pontiac.com/bonneville/images/bg_image1.jpg I think its a pretty good looking car now. You do have to keep in mind that its a "poor man's Cadillac". With that in mind, I'd go for that instead of a Cadillac STS just based on the service and parts expense of having the wreath and crest on my car. Especially since: "Look Ma, no ugly plastic ribs!" http://www.pontiac.com/bonneville/images/bg_image17.jpg And http://www.pontiac.com/bonneville/images/bg_image3.jpg
  7. Summed up in the last two paragraphs: Privacy experts warn that once cars are outfitted for the most limited data recording, the government will find a way to argue it’s for drivers’ "own good" to collect more. They point to a push in recent years to install GPS in all cars so that emergency officials can easily find incapacitated accident victims. "When you are telling someone it is for their own good, then it should be their own choice, they should be able to say ‘no,’" said professor Yale Kamisar of the University of Michigan Law School. "None of these things work out the way they are supposed to. Why should we believe all of these assurances when they haven’t been honored in the past?"

    Need a Car

http://www.columbusracing.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=29;t=000560 Won't find a nicer Caddy for the price.
  9. PM sent. Bring it by the house on Saturday, we'll have a look at it then.
  10. Blow, lick, and squeeze are pretty good. Kick is funny. Type in "shirt off". Its worth it.
  11. Hell, I thought it was cool finding decent headers in the yard in the first place, all the other stuff was a bonus!
  12. Haha! Yeah, I still don't have the car that my parts will be going on yet, so I still don't know what color I'm going to have to dye my steering wheel (it's ugly light blue now), but Ben's carpet and back window got installed last night. We had fun, getting the headers off of the camaro they were on sucked, but we had fun anyway.
  13. For going to the junk yard. I got some parts for my next car, a couple of parts for the cars I've got, and Ben (1 true ss) scored big on parts for the big green beater. Parts score: 1 pair of headers for third gen f-body 1 Cavalier steering wheel (will mount in 3rd gen fbody) 1 Ford Contour rear door exterior finish panel. No charge! graemlins/thumb.gif 1 Cadillac rear level sensor. No charge! graemlins/thumb.gif 1 F150 carpet in black 1 F150 instrument cluster 1 F150 Dash vent 1 F150 tinted sliding rear window Between the two of us, we didn't break a hundred bucks, and we left feeling pretty happy with ourselves.
  14. Bump - I started acquiring parts for my next car this weekend, and am getting anxious to get started. I need this car sold!
  15. Yeah, I had a good time hangin out with you guys. Brian, I love that car! Justin, I didn't get to talk to you much, but hope I'll see ya out again sometime. If we do Cici's again next week, I may have to bring the family out. My son loves to hang out and look at cars with his dad!
  16. You suck, Ben. graemlins/nutkick.gif <---- Me, for not realizing what date it was.
  17. What kind of person could intentionally hurt a child?! Children's services needs to keep that little girl away from that guy's mother. It's not a good sign when two of her sons are physically abusive. That shit has to come from somewhere.
  18. Defend himself, yes. But only to the point that he can get out of the situation. I was raised to NEVER hit a girl, and find it hard to understand what she could have done to deserve to be hit. Ripping her clothes off only adds insult to her injury. She needs to file a restraining order, pronto.
  19. Glad you were able to work that out. Pretty lucky turn of events to get fined for 10 over when by all rights it should have been 60 over. How pissed was the cop?
  20. Wrecked before spring. graemlins/nonono.gif
  21. D'oh! graemlins/slap.gif I wasn't paying attention to the date! I'm not usually able to make it out on Saturday nights, but that really sounds like fun!
  22. That would kick ass! I like Cici's. Which one tonight?
  23. Just what it says, 98 Chevy Lumina Trunk lid for sale. Burgandy in color, broken reverse lamp panel, cut back up lamp harness, no spoiler. It has a trunk latch on it, but no keys. It'll be in my garage until someone takes it off my hands, or I get sick of having it around. Best offer.
  24. NO! That's one of the biggest mistakes GM made with the Silverado SS! The AWD system is heavy and makes for even more drivetrain loss. This truck needs to at least be offered in regular cab short box configuration, but personally, I'd prob be most interested in the ext. cab just because of the limited interior space in a reg. cab midsize truck. (Not that I could afford to buy one anytime soon anyway )
