  1. The difficult part is the discipline to keep a $0 balance. It's easy to fall into the trap of "I'll make a smaller payment this month and pay the balance off next month". I know - I've done that 2x in a 10 year period (a long time ago - I'm old) and it SUCKED both times. Led to 10's of thousands of dollars in CC debt each time. Clawed my way back from that (yes - I'm a slow learner and had to do it twice) and haven't paid a cent in interest on a CC in over 20 years. And with all the identity theft/cc # theft these days, it just isn't safe to use a Debit card anywhere other than an ATM (after checking for a skimmer of course). CC paid off daily, weekly, or monthly is the way to go.
  2. Not an attorney, but do have experience with the lemon law. The lemon law covers issues/problems covered under warranty for new vehicles. (during the first 12 months or 18k miles only) Damage caused by an accident with parts to repair on back order would not qualify for the lemon law. If you're using insurance to get the vehicle repaired, they should be leaning on the dealership to get the parts as fast as possible (assuming they're covering a rental while your ride is in the shop). Good luck!
  3. Cash back credit cards (no annual fee) and use them for your daily purchases. Pay the bill as often as you need to keep a $0 balance. (You can make one payment per day on most credit cards) That can be handy if saving the cash is difficult. Reap the benefits of the cash back and never pay a cent in interest. Been doing this for years and end up with ~$2-2500 cash back every December. Keeps your credit account active and shows the balance as of the monthly reporting cadence. Good luck!
  4. Great deal! You should move this quick. Plenty of miles left on the lease and it should be in warranty for the remainder of the term. Wish I didn't already have a lease on a 17 Silverado Crew Cab...
  5. This has been 99% of my CL experience. It's easy to spot the scam emails and ignore them, but I usually get a few legit replies right away and sell whatever it is I listed easy (and to normal people). I've had one issue with someone 'jerking me around' and not showing up, but of the hundreds of things I've sold on CL, I'm good with calling that the exception. The $5 thing will just drive people to Facebook groups to sell cars. (imho)
  6. I've been caught by rules like that in the past. Are there any other managers/leaders she could socialize with? I feel your pain. Wanting your kids to be happy is huge and seeing them struggle just sucks. You sound like an awesome father - good luck!!
  7. Thanks for the great deal.Very nice gun!
  8. I use Blink cameras. Completely wireless, expandable, indoor and outdoor units, free/no monthly fee, view anywhere with alerts to your devices on motion. https://blinkforhome.com/?utm_medium=bingads&utm_source=bing&utm_campaign=cpc&gclid=CPnnh8eku9sCFZiOxQId6ScMSg&gclsrc=ds Bought mine on Amazon. Not the cheapest things out there, but not the most expensive either. I've been VERY happy with my setup.
  9. Took the gold wing out last Saturday for my first official ride. Did a lazy/long (~100 mile round trip) ride from Pickerington to Logan for breakfast with a few friends. Bike was great. I re-indexed the brake pedal (I removed the floorboards and shifter) after the trip which should make the next ride much better. I'm building the list of upgrades I'd like to ad. Any recommendations on where to shop? I've been spending money at Iron Pony, but am open to other options. Thanks for the help!
  10. I’ve had several enclosed car haulers over the last ~20 years. Torsion, leaf spring, 3500#, 5200#, 20’ to 28’. My current trailer is a newer Pace 20’ with 3500# axles and leaf springs. Tows just like my last one which was a 20’ with 5200# torsion. I really can’t tell the difference empty or full. Regular maintenance keeps everything like new, and I’ve never had an issue with any combination of setup. The one thing they all have in common is the front cap cracking (if it has one) and roof leaks (when they get older). I solved the cap cracking by purchasing trailers without that cap. The roof leak issues came down to keeping the top sealed and protected from the elements in storage. I’ve got covered storage and use a trailer cover in the winter for extra protection. I bought the current Pace trailer at Rocks trailer sales with two spare tires for ~$5800 (ish) out the door. Good luck with your search!
  11. Been riding for ~25 years, but it’s been a while since I’ve owned a bike. So like you should, I picked up a few. 07 Gold Wing, 02 VFR800, and a 92 VFR750. Bought new riding gear to get back out there. Of course, the weather needs to get past winter and snow... I don’t know much about the bikes, but I’ve got a few friends who like to take weekend trips so I ended up with the Gold Wing for the trips and the others for local fun riding. 12. Could be this. Make sure they know the model and send them the comps for ‘like’ vehicles. I’m guessing they will come back with a better offer with all the details. Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad she’s ok! Good luck!
  13. Finding pricing can be difficult, but I’ve been lucky to find providers who can give me my portion of the estimated cost prior (or in some cases during) the test. My doctors office can look at billing codes and determine what will be covered and what won’t. Blood work is something that seems to be a mess with coverage. Having a good doctor (office) has made all the difference for me and my understanding out of pocket for medical expenses. Same for my dentist. All procedures broken out and my portion presented to me prior to being performed. Good luck.
  14. Car comes with a fitted cover, spare air filters, a set of O2 sensors, and an additional/replacement OEM CAT.

I've owned it for the past several years and enjoy it every time I drive it. Stored winters - never driven in salt or snow. Car is not perfect - it's a driver. The right color, rear wheel drive, 5-speed, convertible, and fun as hell! CR price $8500. Trades/Partial Trades considered. Another convertible, 1800 Goldwing, quad, fun car... 17. Car and some of the spares are sold. Being picked up today - already paid for this time! I'll make another thread with the leftover spares.
  18. Thanks Andy. Dude was super cool until today. Was supposed to drive my way this morning and be here around Noon (6-7 hour trip). Sent me a text telling me he couldn't make it due to an issue with his house. Then said he wouldn't be able to buy it at all. Then he was whining about getting his deposit back. (That's been a fun conversation) I sent the entire deposit back to him after he threw a fit about me wanting compensated for taking the day off (today) and spending hours getting ready for him this morning (and then putting everything back when he bailed). He doesn't think he should be financially responsible for me losing a day off work and spending a bunch of time prepping for his arrival. Karma's a bitch (his words and I have a feeling he'll be getting a dose soon)... Going back to a Honda Civic. Already bought it and waiting on the garage space to give it a once over and install new safety gear (seat/harness/net). Car is built better than my last Civic, so I can't wait to get it on track next year. The Solstice is just in my way at this point. The spares take up a HUGE amount of space in the garage and the 'new to me' Honda spares make my garage 10# of crap in a 5# sack.
  19. And.... not gone. Buyer had an issue (home related) and can't complete the transaction. Which sucks because I took the the day off work to make this deal happen. Still trying to salvage a deal, but doesn't look good. Car and spares package still available.
  20. Deposit received. Should be gone by the end of the month.

  22. Planning to participate in 2018 with the Civic I'm building/prepping. This year the date for the Atlanta weekend was just too close to the RunOffs to risk the car. They have made major safety improvements that make this a very attractive group to run with. 2018 should be a blast!
  23. Track is probably awesome and feels great. The issue comes when something you're not planning to happen happens. Drop a wheel or go wide and the day goes from great to shit. The overall safety (track, runoff, walls, safety crew, medic) should be considered when driving at any track. Love the track and hope the improvements continue!
  24. Very happy to see the pavement improvement, but they need to address the runoff areas and the down right dangerous tirewall ramps. Last time I drove there, every single car that made it to a tirewall ended up on top of it, over it, or rolled over because of it. Too many other options for safe tracks to consider Nelson until these other items are addressed. Hope it all happens!!!
