  1. Don't you mean that I could do it since it is my EFIlive, BTW I need my laptop back shortly.

And yes Chad I say to it right or don't do it at all. But really $1.68 vs $2.00 + shipping, you problably spent more in gas going to the parts store.

If I told you that my car's still running WITH the cheap ass soft plug would you believe me? Wait you can ask Anthony and anyone at the track day, as I was running down the track all day with my haggard ass freeze plug...

  2. hhmmmmm, a metal plug that fits perfectly in there, or a universal rubber plug that expands as you twist? Sounds like universal oil plug and I know those don't seal, thanks but no thanks.

Wow, I bet your one of those people that buys the "best" of everything. I'm sorry my pockets aren't as deep as yours. I go for the parts that make my car work, not shiney. If iI wanted flash I would have purchased a Corvette. Btw my rubber plug that expands as you turn it seals fine, hell you think they leak? Better tell all the people that use them in engine blocks for that coolant.....

  3. What year, and motor do you have? I have a 2000 TA with an LS1. I bought my plug from http://www.speedinc.com/catagory.cfm?catagory=Exhaust for $2.00 I wasn't going to waste my time trying to find something that fit.

It was a whole 1.68 at my local parts store, and took me all but 2 tries to get one that fit..... Not everyone likes to mail order stuff nor just buy ready parts, hell thats the fun of modding a car trial and error ;)

  4. Goto Autozone/Advance and get a rubber expand freeze plug. Max of $1.68ish. Just ask the guy if you can test it, theres a size that fits with a lil push and you only have to crank the bolt a few times for it to be sealed. As for the openings on the headers, get them pinched and welded shut. I'm sure theres people on here that will turn your EGR/AIR off for way under the price of a tune. If you have anymore questions gimme a PM, I just did this to my 98 :)
  5. How would it be cheaper? Since when is an LSx so cheap? How much does, let's say a used stock LS1, typically go for?

In case you guys have forgotten, it really doesn't cost much at all to build a 400+ hp SBC 350 (or in this case a 383). Maybe I am missing something...

He's talking about putting it into his 4th gen body styled camaro. Which would involve more fab work then it would be worth.

  6. Do not get eibach srpings. The spring rates are all wrong on them, regardless of what anyone tells you. The sportines ride horribly, and the prokit is to soft for the track. Get with a company called Strano autoparts, Sam the owner will treat you right and get what you need.

If you can get DMS on tech they own all aftermarket springs.

  7. So these are safe to run on a camaro then right? Any clearance or rubbing issues?

They fit, but they do seem to bend the studs. Alot of peoplke on tech run them. I topok them off to run 35th LE wheels, so I have no use for them. These are pending to dragknee as were gunna get together this Weds to get these things sold.

  8. You'd be surprised how well LS1 cars do in the snow with the traction control turned ON ;) I drove mine in the snow for about 3 weeks when my beater broke, with all season tires on my stocker 16's I never had a problem getting anywhere with whatever on the road, and I'm low enough that I plow the snow before the plows got there lol.
  9. My brothers still on his 10 bolt and he's running MT ET Streets. If you can find DMS springs on tech, grab those. And as far as your LCA's any LCA is a gain over stock, if your reallyu serious about grabbing traction get some solid ones. UMI has some good stuff as well as BMR. I have Hotchkis on my car and love'em :)
