  1. His 98 was identical to the 96 diagram: http://shbox.com/1/bcm_1996.jpg
  2. This happened to a friends car when I was training at Gordon. The RAP relay is built into the BCM as stated. There are a few tutorials on soldering the PCB as they are prone to cracking. I was on a time hack and was able to wire around it. The feed from the IGN side can be wired straight through to the fuseblock side, this needs to he done on both latching and unlatching sides. The BCM is very easy to get to, and there are wiring diagrams on the net.
  3. Once you find a Class III dealer (My brother uses H&E and Vances) to purchase from: Two sets of Form 4, with passport photos and LEO sign offs Two sets of fingerprint cards Three to an infinite number of months time :gabe:
  4. Nice, what kind of compression/header setup?
  5. Sounds like you have an idea for a start up :gabe:
  6. Good lord. (insert reflective belt comment here)
  7. Early this year I made a trip down to a local store that happened to be a very large Class III supporter. While chatting with the owner, I was introduced to a clever gentleman who owns and operates Huntertown Arms. His cans have been hitting production recently, and the reviews seem favorable. Military Channel's review: While not Delta Force like in terms of performance, for the budget minded and hearing degraded -- they're a good option.
  8. I've built a few, stick with the known names like Rock River, CMMG, etc.
  9. Keep in mind, 99.99998% of the time we work in the dark. When they start an orbit blacked out, hard to really pinpoint where they are. If the apache's FLIR/TADS are anything like the drones`, the range finder is in the lower right and pops in and out (1200-1400m ranges) -- so -- depending on their orbit radius and alt, could be anywhere from 1500-3000ft. Despite being tough as a SOB, sadly, that still puts them in range of anti-air. ***disclaimer, I've held an EWO role, not avaiation.
  10. I can't say for certain but I remember hearing the term when our TAC-P's were talking about a referenced target that was painted by a UAV for SOFLAM. In that context, it was a confirmation that the target had been painted and joint force systems (air & ground) were picking up the painted mark.
  11. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=7af_1342634355 And if you are really into it, check out this youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/FUNKER530
  12. One of the most important leassons you learn in OCS: speak with a loud voice, and always remain confident. Seems easy -- until you have to breif a BUB with no prep, tons of joint force obscue acronyms, and pronounce minute town and province names.
  13. Lotus products are the ultimate :gabe:
  14. I started Dayz this weekend with my brother, game sucks if you go solo -- but with friends it ca be quite humerous.
  15. I dont think there's a question of what "can" the S54 do in stock form, but, how long and what conditions. A decent number of the Stage 2.5 cars end up becoming stage 3 (with built internals, oversized L19 studs, etc). Similar story on ICS's builds.
  16. If you can't baffle them with science, dazzle them with bullshit.
  17. :dumb: Have fun changing headgaskets every week.
  18. The S54 doesn't have most of the head to block sealing issues the older S50/S52's that powered the E36's had. As mentioned, high compression is the enemy. HP Freaks spent alot of $$ in chucked blocks exploring the platform. There's been a handfull of stock block cars in the 600hp range, but, with time -- they have all suffered a failure of somesort. Octane is key for these engines. E85 would be an excellent fuel choice for this setup. With Steed's manifold available to the public, and ProEFI's PnP EMS kit out, two key pieces to the puzzle are in place.
  19. V8's are a very tricky setup, namely because of pulses being in-and-out of phase on similar banks; Hence, BMW's inverted heads and medusa manifolds (M63). With relatively short piping (low thermal loss) they may make out OK on the exhaust side. The cold side however, is most likely undersized. "3 cylinder turbo diesel from a Kubota" is somewhat vauge. While the exhaust side sizing may be in the zip code, the compressor's, or more speicifc, inducer may be choking pretty quick in the upper RPMs of the V8's range.
  20. If it holds, it holds...right?
  21. Brandon, do you know what's being used for engine management? I'd assume a MoTec?
