  1. Didn't mean to make it sound fancy -- if GM doesn't padlock the controller -- this would be a fun OEM setup to play with; one of the few with the hardware and software intended for wastegate control. For most of us, that means no pressing need to use external controller systems or interfaces.
  2. Car looks great, thanks for the new backgrounds.
  3. In to see GM's next gen power train ( and controllers!). Centralized boost management? Check. Hopefully a few find their way on GM Performance...
  4. ...and here I thought my ocular sat high up Check into RAT's cheek weld products, www.ratgrips.com I've seen them on alot of bench rifles but can really say much else. The Tipton will serve you well. For being what it is, you'll come to appreciate it. Edit: When I rocked the synthetic stock on the Mjuan, I used this http://www.desertwarriorproducts.com/Cheek-Rest-700.html
  5. My brother bought into 458, I chose 50 Beo - they both sit in the safe. I have a smidge under 100 rounds on it; 400 gr eats things alive. Not much practical use, but dont mind the room it takes in the safe. I've heard of some of the cheaper lowers having their pivet pin elongated after heavy use, but don't have any issues with my setup.
  6. I think the profiling of soldiers with firearms ties more into the record high suicide rates, but...could be wrong. Pay is frozen all across the DoD....with things like BRAC closing areas at the site level. Draw down....
  7. What I would do doesn't matter, just as what I personally think doesn't matter. I can refuse, resign, etc...but in the big picture some poor cadot/butter bar would end up doing it.
  8. .000002centsworth - if the law dictates, regardless of how they feel, that is a lawfull order. There are still some that fight DADT....even now.
  9. That, and if run out of boolets damm things is heavy enough to make someone swallow alot of blood.
  10. I haven't had any issues with registering NFA items despite government regulation. You need to consider the time (as mentioned) the Constitution was written. Firearms were much more involved in family life and a strong military-civilian relationship exisited. Some of the most deregulated gun-control successful countries have much more traditional roles when it comes to firearms; mandated military/civil service, mandatory club/organization membership, and lots of discrimination.
  11. I'm impulseive to M1 platforms, but I would probably go with an M4/16 setup. After shooting an OBR, I found it highly addictive.
  12. I'm not usually for any sort of gun control, but moments like this really make me think classes/clubs/range time/etc should be mandated for gun ownership. If Mil/LEO accept the burden and responsibilty of operating a firearm, why not civilians? Glad you didn't get hurt, was this a range where the firing lines had a camera or was there a range safety at the line?
  13. The fundamental rule of an ICE applies: Mass flow rate (m dot) will strongly effect max potential power (think restrictor plates). Not sure on just how they corrected their numbers in terms of max airflow, listed at 330CFM. Corrected numbers usually factor in density and are given in mass/time (lb/min, kg/sec, etc) Another question is what is limiting the factor: blower RPM, bearing specs, or something abstract like the circular induction point (there the TB would connect to).
  14. Without getting to personal, he would like to keep health benefits for his wife until she reaches the age where she can qualify for SS benefits. That means keeping the nose to the grindstone for another 2-3 years.
  15. Hi Folks, Family friend has been working in Pediatric medicine for 30 some years and got notice the department is cutting 50% of the budget, with that, 50% of the docs. I've tried forwarding him a few positions off USAJOBS.meerica, is there a medical specific job site I can link him to? Any tips for an old doc? Thanks
  16. What you really need: Iphone mount, AB app, and an angle or cosine finder.
  17. We all know who the tac-ti-coool guy at the range will be....ahwww yeahhhh.
  18. I've found Google Sketch to be a good visual if you can get some solid points of reference/measurements. I've been looking at QD mounts -- most of them turn cheek rest into chin rest on the M1 platforms.
  19. Both companies make great products. I run Badger on my M1A and love them. Check into TPS rings as well, they make a good product. Looking good, sounds like we need a CR Range day...
  20. I'm somewhat interested in being able to send an email while in a conference call. Is that universal for LTE based phones or just a feature by the carriers? Does it work well? I do alot of teleworking and that would make life somewhat easier.
  21. A more appropriate question would have been, what is the droid side doing about the iphone 5? Are we looking at any game changers in the coming months?
  22. What's the deal with the Razor M's sealed battery, yo? Was the S3 intended to take on the iphone 5? Can either phones do flash or java?
