  1. I would be of the opinion to pick up the WindRunner in both 50 and 416.
  2. BC are tested and derived in a specific set of conditions. They are property of the bullet dynamics, and those alone. When you work with ballistic models, they eat the BCs as an input, and "true" the output in your current conditions. BCs are not a static number, they're a dynamic variable. This is an in-flight rating of a bullet - whatever happens before it - isn't accounted for. Whatever length barrel, whatever twist, whatever rifling will not raise or lower a BC. Bryan Litz's books are a great resource in long range precision/high power rifle. Compared to most books on projectiles, it is an easy read yet credible. (Litz is the fucking man) http://www.amazon.com/Applied-Ballistics-Long-Range-Shooting-Understanding-ebook/dp/B00KRJXVZU/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1416610887&sr=8-4&keywords=bryan+litz
  3. A quote that comes to mind, "The problem with dream girls is that they become real." I have a lot of respect for the 50, but I've had my fair share of range time with them to point out the things that I didn't see. Please take it as two pennies of friendly advice. Fair enough, I'll just say records aren't set on bulk surplus/contract rejects. Rifles are systems. Tolerances stack. If the gun was setup for 750gr and you run 6xx gr M33, you won't get what you're looking for. AMAX and Barnes 750gr match grade, the high(er,est) are about 2$ bullet/5-6$ round.
  4. I would strongly suggest you handle and get some field time on those rifles listed before becoming dead set on that caliber. Humping a 30lb boat anchor around and shooting it isn't as fun as you think, especially in matches. 6.5,300 WM, .338LM all offer 1000yd+ capability without the weight penalty.
  5. Please read. I'll give credit to the 50, because it is another tool in the bag. Our neighbors to the north and some of the Euro boys like running the TAC-50 and set records with them (Furlong & Perry). Sending a 7xx gr round into something, well, yeah. Hell, Hathcock duct taped an optic on an M2 and went to town, o`rah. As stated, there are cheaper calibers that can get you there.
  6. I wouldn't try this without an EGT sensor. If the Ford maps allow a temporary bump over to a different map or you can come up with a custom map that pulls timing and heavily enriches the mixture in the light load and higher rpm areas, you can get exhaust wheel moving pretty quickly. Just a quick thought.
  7. Good meeting everyone. Rayners has a good range setup - help keep it that way by remembering to police your brass.
  8. http://www.jmschip.com/powermax/ While I don't make it a practice to add components to a system, BAPs/Powermax boosters are worth an honorable mention. One of the problems when working with larger pumps, the heat build up into the fuel can get ridiculous if you're cursing around town.
  9. The only injector you'll ever need, http://injectordynamics.com/
  10. I am go for those dates. PM'ing my cell to you sir

  12. ran the piss out of these over seas....held up to our abuse
  13. Stay safe hombre, let me know if you are ever passing through Indy, beer on me.
  14. Up for all treeee. I thought TVP was closed for the season outside of select events.
  15. Are you in the 107th? 19th group? 300 win mag checking in, get me on target you homos.
  16. There will always be a place in my heart for E36 M's, LTW. That is however, until the door panels dry out and all those damn plastic clips break. Hitler spawn I tell you.
  17. <3 all of you. Bro, do you even boat anchor? http://i.imgur.com/sqd284A.jpg
  18. So, lets be real, senior level is most likely an SES (CIO of types, eq of the General rank) DISA will stop anything related to pr0n, but SES's tend to get special treatment. Must have been using ISP or black.
  19. How many BOLO's do you think were passed to us about military age men driving bongo trucks rigged with explosives? We didn't blow every one up based on S2's morning brief. Good guys had some advantages going in, MET-TC. Cornered, no immediate civilians, not late to the party. Kid was a tard`, but, part of being the good guy is being responsible for everything before and after pulling that trigger.
  20. I will F them all in the A.
  21. Don't get me wrong, I still run the piss out of my other can, just...don't be surprised if it happens. Both great looking (and most likely performing) rifles, just with SBRs I would error on the side of caution, with everything.
  22. Have a baffle strike yet? Don't worry - it isn't if, it's when. Call the "xxxx" back and ask them if they'll do the replacement work for free - even offer a letter from a Krieger stating the concentricity of the threading to the bore and the "xxx" supplied machinist drawings were referenced for cutting the shoulder. I'm about 1500$ wiser now, seeing as the ATF didn't like the idea of hot gluing the serial numbers back together.
  23. .02 here: I would be slightly hesitant to run a can on that short of a barrel. Here's why: From: http://www.sadefensejournal.com/wp/?p=1093
  24. Where do you get those interior lights? god damn UFOs.
