  1. Shave the exhaust manifolds and fabricate lines + mounts. Interfacing the IP cluster is a different story. Nate
  2. Looks great Andy! I'd hate to see your full detail if a simple wash takes 5hrs
  3. From the last I knew (Gavelston, TX cruise vid) it ran GTE internals.
  4. I disagree. For something to grenade like that off load, either bad QA for the respective build parts, or there was an error in the engine's initial build.
  5. I'll be there a bit late, need to kill people....
  6. Nice Doug. What made you steer away from the GTI? Hopefully you'll grow up to understand a car doesn't make the man that drives it. You're still young, though.
  7. John, CC: Brett I've worked with GM hardware for quite some time. One of my responsibilities at Mallett Cars, Ltd was the Supercar 427 C5R CTSV, which, puts down in the area of 1000whp - on stock hardware. No failures (engine wise). Driver wise, it went into a guard rail by an inexperianced driver. Unfortunately, at that power level, it becomes impossible for a hobbyist (even a wealthy one, or one with very strong financial backing) to use the proper tools. As a tuner, I understand you want to be fairly compensated for your time, but the cost would have to passed on to the customer at this level. Sadly, this is where I find myself drawing the line between a hobby, and a job. I can't say what we used to dial in the CTSV, due to an NDA and general respect for the guys at LS1edit, but it was costly. Very costly. However, I agree with Brett on some things, the AEM unit is very versatile. Brett's run it, on seems like all of his builds, but he's proven he knows how to use it (like I need to tell anyone that). There are certain aspects you'll never see/use as an end user (driver). Which, shouldn't matter, but call me an engineer if I didn't believe in principle. Either way, hope everything goes well, can't wait to see some videos come spring time.

  14. Welcome, Hopefully you're in the cisco tech prep program. Take advantage of it. It's definitely the best thing I ever did with any type of schooling (sometimes I consider it better than college)
  15. So what military obligation have you served to discredit any (other) member of the armed forces?
  16. When I was at Nationwide the DB guys weren't happy with their compensation... ..so they quit near the year's end, and started a consulting company in which Nationwide had no choice (Oracle/SQL experts) in hiring them back on for about 100-110K .
  17. Fire Fox 2 = IE7?? Where'd this tabbed browsing come from? Hrmm...
