What troubles me is that the common citizen has no idea why the 2A is even in place. Or if they do, I typically get the, "That won't happen here. Quit being paranoid" answer. I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to take that chance. Find another way to stop these 'mass killings' that the media latches onto on a monthly basis. The real meat in the statistics is gang violence, and no gun control is going to fix that. These 'mass killings' that make the news are a drop in the bucket compared to those.

This country cracks me up with the crusades it goes on. I took care of at least 3 different patients within the past 2 weeks that all suffered GSWs to the head (and am probably at 50+ GSWs for the year) and there was not a care in the world by the masses. A black guy shoots some white folks, or vice versa, and all of a sudden, "WE'VE GOT TO DO SOMETHING!!!! GUNS ARE BAD! MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES!!1! RACE WARS!! Yadda, yadda, yadda. Breaking News: This shit happens every single day. You aren't going to stop it. You can't legislate free will, and its going to continue to happen no matter what dumb laws you try to pass to prevent it (do I need to list example of these failures?). People have been killing each other since the beginning of time and they will continue to do so. Society is funny.

Excuse the dumb question from the non-IT guy, but what are most viruses designed to do these days? I typically just stay away from the shady porn sites and don't download from LimeWire (for like the past 10 years). That's about the extent of my virus knowledge. What should/shouldn't I be doing differently to protect myself?

DirecTV and TW internet and couldn't be happier. I tried TW cable for literally two days before I cancelled it and went to Direct. It was horrible.
