I'm fairly certain Boise doesn't redshirt EVERYONE. And I'm also fairly certain that, minus all the suspensions, Ohio State wouldn't be starting 12 true freshman. Also, everyone knows Ohio State didn't belong in the title game in 2007. I'm a diehard OSU homer and even I can admit that.

You just told us to stop using OSU as an example and then you close by using OSU as an example. BTW, discrediting Boise by saying Georgia shouldn't have been ranked and then pointing out how many ranked teams Ohio State has beaten is a bit hypocritical. What, the rankings for the ranked teams that Ohio State beat were legit, but Boise's aren't?

Yeah, but he's absolutely right when he references the bowl situation: the team Boise plays in a bowl has just as much time to prepare, heal up, etc.

I think I'm with alittlelessordinary on the Boise State thing, bicranium. I look at it this way: Ohio State (or any other traditional power) would likely have the same record as Boise State if they played Boise's schedule, so it's reasonable to assume the inverse would be true: Boise State would have the same record as Ohio State (or any other traditional power) if they played Ohio State's schedule. Don't get me wrong, I think Boise State is kind of annoying. (They were cute and quaint when they knocked off Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl, but since then they've just kind of being aggravating to hear about.) However, I'm not so sure I can think of any logical reason why they wouldn't have been as successful as other, traditional, AQ teams with the same schedule.

I'm with whoever said Bauserman should never see the field again. I was okay with the idea of Fickell being the head coach until after Saturday. Not now. That shit was pathetic. If I'm OSU, I can't be dialing Meyer's number quick enough at this point. And what the fuck is up with Fickell wearing three layers in hot ass weather? I sure hope the B1G isn't sitting on its fat ass while all this conference realignment stuff is going on. Did the B1G make a play for Texas and/or Oklahoma? I'd surely hope so. I don't care what conference Boise State plays in - they'd curb stomp this Ohio State team.

Also, I've owned both an 03 Cobra and an C5 Z06. The Cobra is a fat piggie in comparison to the Z06. It took appreciably more RWHP (like 50+) to account for the Cobra's ell bees. Not to say I'm hating on the Cobra - I wore out plenty of Vettes and f-bodies with it - but it usually took more HP to do it.

tl;dr

Yeah, definitely, the current Miami team is no 2008 USC. That USC team was arguably the best they ever had (certainly probably the best defensive team they ever had). Along with the 2001 Miami team and the 1996 Nebraska team, that 2008 USC was the best team I've ever seen. The point I was trying to make is that I don't want OSU to hold on to Bauserman too long (like we did with Boeckman) when we have a dynamic, albeit young, QB waiting in the wings. As far as I'm concerned, Pryor was the only thing that even remotely worked in the USC massacre, and I'm afraid of us getting put in another position where athletically we are getting dominated because we're going with Bauserman when Miller would give us that extra dimension. I'm glad (sad?) that you saw the same thing with Berry on the kickoff that I did at home. I turned to Ashley and said something to the effect, "I think either one of us could have scored through that hole that Berry just missed."

Agreed. Michigan State is fool's gold. I would have paid money to play them last year. P.S. Notre Dame is pathetic, and so is Michigan. Ideally, both of them would have lost simultaneously for having turned historically brilliant programs into Kansas States. That said, that was an entertaining game last night.

I wasn't the least bit concerned about the Miami game before this past Saturday. Now, I'm very concerned. Was it just me, or did Ohio State look slooooowwwww? Toledo looked faster on both sides of the ball. And I'm willing to bet a Shapiro-sized amount of money that Miami has substantially better athletes than Toledo. Agreed with whoever said Rod Smith should never carry again. Never again. Ever. We have waaaay too much depth at RB to give second and third chances to fumblerooskies. Our special teams are special needs teams. They were instrumental in our only loss last season. Hanging on to a floundering Bauserman while stiff-arming the athletic, dynamic freshman back up Miller is starting to seem far to uncomfortably similar to the Boeckman/Pryor situation. Does anyone need me to remind them of the massacre in Los Angeles?

Still agreeing completely with you. Had either their jerseys or their pants been black (so they wouldn't have had both red jereys and red pants - too much red, probably) I think that would have definitely made them cooler.
