Wow still on the stock clutch with that kind of power is impressive. I have ridden in the c5 zo6 and driven a shelby and I will have to agree that the vette feels alot more smooth and lighter from what I could remember compared to what the shelby felt like.

I knew him for years before all of the people on this forum knew him , since we went to school together I just graduated a few years before he did, so I am just guessing im ok to comment on him. I would have done the same thing if I were him and got my hands on every car I could.

Ya I can see what you are saying. It would be fun to be one of the first to push that motor too its limits too. Say 8 gs for your turbo set up, new clutch and tranny would be what say 4 grand or around there, thats 12 grand on those two major parts to the set up and you would have another 8 grand left for bolt ons, tune, drag radials, and what ever else you would want. I would have to say well over 500 whp can be had for not even 20 grand in mods if the motor were to hold. I kinda wish I had the money to give it a try.

No I got you that is what is being said in motor trend and car and driver as well. I was more just joking to the fact that I think I read the word better over six times in your first post. I know what your saying though. I just couldnt imagine spending that kind of cash for a car that has numbers like that. I know its not all about the numbers but for the price tag I would expect a little more. I mean hell save the extra 20 g's and get a new 5.0 gt that runs what 12.70's at like 111 mph and turbo that bitch and smoke shelbys and zo6's all day long. That is what I would do if I was a Ford guy and wanted something new.

This stuff happens all the time. If my parents would throw money at me for anything I wanted I would defently not turn it down. I also wouldnt take advantage either though like alot of people I have seen. I grew up watching alot of these type of people around me and got used to it fast. Hell Im sure alot of people on here remember Cavin for instance he had a new car every couple of months because he would always lose to the same people and had to keep getting faster cars with his moms money till he could finaly beat them bc he was a terrible driver. Hell I remember when he was 15 and made his mom buy him an m3 and that was his FIRST car... I can think of 5 or 6 other cars that he owned before he was 19. I remember reading about this car a few years ago in one of my old car mags. From what I remember the thing is a beast on the track and cost them like nothing to build. If I am right I has also won its fair share of time attack events taking out some serious cars along the way. On a side note I have never had a problem with wings and splitters as long as they some what flow with the car and dont look like alot of the primered pos hondas running around on steelies with a wing and a fart can on the back. Hell when I was thinking of getting a lsx swapped rx7 I was gonna run a wing, splitters and what not for the extra downforce. But at the sametime look at the new zo6 its a 200 mph car and it doesn't require a wing to tear it up at the track either.

Simply put the zo6 is an all around better car. The new zo6 carbon goes 0 to 60 in 3.7 sec and runs roughly an 11.6 at say 124. The shelby is 0 to 60 in 4.2 and is a 12.50's car at like 115. The numbers dont lie and the vette will always turn more heads than a ford will. Hell my old ws6 was only a bolt on car and cost me 16k when I bought it and it turned a best of 12.43 at 117 mph and the only shelby I ever got the chance to run from a roll I put a car on it up top so I could never justify spending 50 k plus on just another mustang in my book. Just my .02cents not everyone will agree with it but thats how I feel.

Wow that sucks man I hate to see a nice clean car like that get blasted, but at least your ok. Like everyone else has said you can replace that car but you cant replace your life.

There isn't even a pic to go with the add I at least wanted to see the car. There is a good chance the car dips out but you never know those are some heavy ass cars.

#2 but I would lave to see #3 as well almost got a disel truck last year but ended up holding out and decided I would rather get a cheap truck to work out of that I wont care if I ding the hell out of it and get a vette or something along those lines. You can make alot of power with a disel but the ls1 is still the win in my book. Heads, cam and a bottle if you feel frisky and you have one hell of a street car.

Im very sorry for your loss. Putting down a pet is never fun I have had to do this on occasions I hate doing it. It gets better and remember that new puppy will cheer you up if you let it.

This usually works if your at centerfold or another strip club around town. As soon as alot of my relationships failed I would go out and party hard at the strip club always forgot alot in those places lol.

That is what I have been told but dont quote me 100% on this yet.

Wow this is nuts I honestly think he was trying to kill himself. I just have a hard time seeing a loss of control of his vehicle it really looks like he was trying to do that. I mean when most people go off road they usually try to get back on the road this car just kept heading for the bridge poles.
