One I do expect someone to step in and do something about the poor choices that many young African Americans make every day, and influence them in the right direction. That is called parents and proper parenting which is something that tends to be missing for many of these unguided young adults. With proper parenting and being taught the knowledge of right and wrong at a young age and haveing a proper family social setting where mommy isn't on welfare and daddy left, or even worse is in prision, these kids wouldnt be prown to live the ganster and thug lifestyles that dominate a majority of their lives. It is also the job of the school systems to insure that every student not be left behind, and they are tought many of the same qualites that parents should be pounding into their heads. But with improper Government aids that the schools are getting now and teachers that quite frankly dont give a rats ass this is never going to be achieved. Next I never said socialism had anything to do with the American Dream, I'm actually not for the idea of socialism due to the fact that it never works because people are greedy and you will never find a true un- greedy leader. The majority of the Middle class is made up of blue collar workers, ie construction workers, home builders, farmers ect ect... Of these people a vast majority are without a college degree. They don't have the credentials on paper to just go out and find a job right now because all of the jobs out there are in the business fields and or white collar jobs. They really have no choice but to wait and hope that the economy will be saved and they will get work again in their fields of expertice. And I know in your mind it is their job to better themselves right? Maybe go back to school and get that paper that says your trainable and get a new job, in a new field, you never know you may make more money right? That sounds fine and dandy but many of these people we are talking about are married, have children, two dogs and a home to pay for, they don't have the time to go back to school because in the end it is up to them to put food on the table today, tomorrow, and next week. Making more money and having a job in four years is not going to do anything about the problems of today. I also agree that yes we need social class. That is what makes life competative and keeps us striving for goals and aspirations. But the disappearence of a once dominate, and voical social class that was made up of the majority of our countries population is not a good thing... Trust me. The only problem for this is that for every one that does make it out of the hood and becomes sucessful another 5 are sent to prision. I can promise you this more young black men will find themselves in prision as a means to get out of the hood than the ones that get degrees and go on to live a good life making <than 50k a year. Last time I checked it was different for every person and really had no true definetion. The Dream your thinking of is the so called Dream that is painted into our heads by our Government. Why else can you decribe the once thriving middle class disappearing more and more everyday and of those once middle class are now falling to lower class or worse below the poverty line, with the hope that one day the Government will fix this crisis instead of just digging the hole deeper for those truely in need.

All it takes is one crazy person that wants this fix bad enough then you just build an army of the easily persuaded people in this country,get them to fight for your cause and promise them something in the end. I am no way saying he is a good person but damn he could pull a country together behind him and with that power of speech he convinced these people to take on the whole world and they WERE winning for a little bit that is the crazy part. There are so many white power people out there that are waiting for change they just need someone to pull them together into an army. I say lets pool all our money together and start a upriseing with our own army... Then the people will finaly get noticed. As my teacher told me in Government class a few years ago at BG it is the job of the people to take over the Government and start it over from scratch if our Government ever gets to much power. We were a country built for the people by the people and it was that way for a reason; because it worked, and now Government has gotten far to powerful and everyday our rights are being stripped away and we are getting closer to total Government control, because they have convinced us that we need them for protection. V for Vendeta (spelling may be off) was a movie about all of this. The author ment it to show where our country was headed in the years to come if we kept letting the Government control us and tell us what to do and control our lives out of fear. As far as the division that is running through our country goes that is simply because our Government was not built to be a 2 party system. It was built to vote in the best candiate for the people period. No Democrat or Republican bullshit that seemed to get invented as our country has grown and has done nothing but cause us problems and weaken our country as a whole.

We have been a plutocracy since the early 90's I think. That is around when less than 10% of the U.S. popluation controlled over 90% of the nations wealth. Its been that way ever since. And guess what the rich will do with their money. They pour it into the political campaign funds of the of the officials they want elected or re-elected to insure that their campaign is top of the line and virtually a lock to win the election for whatever position being ran for. They control and get whatever they want in this country and their voice is the one always heard... Honestly, things will not change untill our country comes together as one like I said and actually does something to get the change we want. I will take a step back and will say that I didn't mean all African Americans are from the hood and undereducated but lets look at the facts. What roughly 30% of people living in the inner cities are below the poverity line. And of those people living in the inner cities a vast majority are minorities, ie African Americans. Being that the area is so poor the schools are usually effected because of lack of funding, all the money is going to building the new bigger and better schools in non urban areas. Because of this lack of money teachers with lesser credentials are hired because thats all thay can get into the area thus the education of the child is hindered and will not get the one on one help he would get at a non urban school or private schools where the teachers tend to care a little bit more about their students. All you have to do is look at the test scores. Our inner city students perform the worst year in and year out and many of these students never get the chance to continue their education at a college or secondary learning institute. I will say this too so you cant argue this point I know not all African Americans live in the inner city. I believe in 2000 the cences showed that roughly 40% of all African Americans lived in the suburbs and the number was on the rise due to newer and nicer homes, a safer lifestyle, and better school systems. And to answer a statement you made about me yes I am ignorant very ignorant at times but do not question my level of education I can promise you the education I recieved at The Columbus Academy was far greater than that of a Columbus Public School.

This is a long thread and I defently do not have the time to post on everything. What I will say is one Obama does suck. My reason is this he promised a vast quanity of people change ,a better life and a better Country. The only problem is this, the people that he made these promises to were extreamly un educated people from the hood that couldnt see through his 90% of bullshit that came out of his mouth. The man is a good speaker I can give him that and he got the vote of the ghetto behind him and thousands upon thousands came out to finaly vote one of "their own" in without any other reasoning behind it besides the fact that they were voting for this so called "change" that will never happen. Now look where we are. We have gotten change yes but change further in the wrong direction. Unemployment is still high as ever and no one is getting jobs. All of these new jobs for the "green projects" in states that could benfit from the windmill labor needed to get these things in the air will never get the jobs because the company assembleing them is from another state and will bring their workers with them thus not giving anymore work to that states people. What is so funny about this is last time I checked the mis informed also think conservatives are a bunch of baby making hillbilly's from southern Ohio, WV, and Kentucky where all the idoits roam. So to make that very close-minded claim about lefties is kinda strange to me because it is far more describing of conservatives and all the dumb ass hill jacks we got screwing their sisters and loving "Merica" and the old south. The number one problem with this country though is we are far to concerned with money and greed and how to get that last penny in our pockets and keep it out of the Johnsons down the street. Untill people start worrying about the shit that matters like the education of our children, the long term betterment of our country and its people, and coming together as a country to solve the problems at hand instead of just bickering and arguing about who is right, the elephants or the donkeys our country is going to continue to fall as a worlds superpower and with that bad things will then happen. I do paver patios quite a bite being in the landscaping business. You ever think of going with that instead of crete. I have always thought the paver patios look better especially when you go with fire pits and all that fun stuff just my 2 cents though being I don't know what your budget is. To answer a few of your questions I would go with a little more base gravel than an inch. An inch is not going to do much to prevent wash out and all of that fun stuff. I was thinking more along the idea of 4 or even a little more. That will pay off a few years down the road when it would have cracked or settled. Also like a few others your grade seems a little steep. When standing at the end of the patio that grade may be noticable to some peoples eyes and your not going to want that. A patio that looks like a ramp wont give you the look you want. Really you dont have to worry so much about how much grade it is as long as when you lay a level on the patio it shows that you will have the flow that your looking for. But if your stuck on using measurements 1/4 inch grade may be more what your looking for.

Ha ha ha yep hit the nail on the head with that one. Dui's are a bitch. They cost alot of money and once everything is done and over with you realize a cab or paying a friend to help you get home is much cheaper and far less stressfull. Shit happens though and good thing is no Dui's are on my record so it will not have to follow me for the rest of my life. I can understand this but being cool has nothing with carring you job out in a complete, and professional mannor. By doing what he did, he did not do his job compleatly ie making sure every student is safe and feels safe while on school grounds, and making sure she gets home safely from school as well. He also wasn't to professional when yelling at a student and making remarks that are hurtful, and or downgrading towards a student. I wouldnt care how cool he is or may seem I would have his ass.

I know Im late to this but I would clean house with this guy. Don't get physicial, or get aggressive with your words or tone. Be classy and cool and get your pont across. If he doesn't seem to be effected by your man to man talk then light him up and go to the media and everything else you can as a resource and make sure he doesn't have a job in Hillard Schools by next year.

He won't just let you run off and drive a car on a test drive all the time there. With most people he runs a credit check to see if you can even afford the car before you can drive it because of all the joy riders he gets out there. That and the one ticket I got while test driving a car from there when I was 19 woah. His insurence had to sky rocket after that one ha ha ha and he started checking credit scores right after that.

I live out buy them actually. Have heard many stories from my neighbors who at one time did all their body work. Many cars came on lot all beat to hell and he would send them out to be painted. On one occasion a dark colored rx7 was on his lot and it was beat up. He had it painted factory yellow and tried to sell it as a rare from factory limited edition yellow 7. Almost every car on his lot is an e bay special that is ran to shit and not worth half the money that it is listed for. Yes there are times when he has a good car on lot but that doesn't overcome the fact that most of the cars on lot are junk.

Honestly those cars can do well for very little in parts. Friend has like 3 plug maf, upper ic pipe, cold air, 3in down with no cat, gm performance stage 1 kit, and his hp tuners program that he uses to tune the car on his labtop. When he is running e85/ gas mixture tune the car dips out. Put a few cars on an ls1 car actually on the freeway a few weeks ago and worked over a few other said 12.70 to 12.60 cars in the quarter. It holds its own to say the least and there is alot more room to keep modding once he gets a stronger clutch. I am very impressed with these cars actually even though like alot of people on this forum im a v8 guy but these cars can make very very good power numbers with very little money if you know what your doing with it.

A friend of mine has a turbo cobalt. Car runs strong with basic bolt ons and the hp tunners program he uses on the car.

Ha ha ha ha I have meet a few of these. Gotta love the dirty girls and well she looks the part. I bet she could handle herself well on a stripper pole.

They have easy a top 10 defense and their secondary is extreamly talented with Charles Woodson and the rest of his gang running around out there. I would hardly call that a week defense. So actually Vick has played more than one game and his stats in the 3 quarters against the Pack were just as steller as he was against your Lions.
