  1. you're a better man than most and with the older engines, it sometimes isn't too easy pontiac motors, for example...all are the same size physically, from 326 to 455. The numbers alone tell you if it's a rare 4-bolt main or 2 bolt 180 HP 326 a 390 is still a big block ford - it'd look the same as a 428...only the internals would be the difference (which is why it took him so long) I wish we could bring up the ebay ad. I always save mine when i buy a car, for these reasons. If this was advertised as an original drag pack 428 cobra torino (rare and desirable) and ended up being a normal torino...there's a significant difference in value and i could see the fella being upset (6k project car vs 1k project car) You'll notice that he wrote on the receipt, "torino cobra" If it isn't a cobra, you're assuredly in trouble.
  2. ps TV's are from Detroit Diesels - 8V series so, if that 6.5 is stock...that won't work
  3. sorry, sorry first final is over, today...and i'm already drinking Wanted to Buy G-G-A? tv series? part # or any more info? I'm aiming to turbo a pontiac motor
  4. thoughts, suggestions....point me in the right direction: whatever
  5. thanks for the invite: i shoulda posted earlier my roommate and I ran around town looking for an advertisement posted on someone's sign: no dice
  6. I know all about the suckers columbus uses a person i know is an expert defense witness and owns two of the machines columbus uses they're fun to play with interesting fact: Roofers are subjected to chemicals while they work that will really screw with the readings another interesting fact: Burping right before a test can also really muck with the reading (officers are supposed to wait 10 or 15 minutes after a burp to do it) last: white bread will return a result that will show you as drunk
  7. Any local joints showing it? cover? I figured Panini's would have it, but no dice...
  8. Hawaii didn't deserve it not with that schedule We can't let people in just because they're undefeated...or we'll have an ugly rush to have powder-cake schedules The repercussions of not awarding the teams that play harder schedules...would be dire (bad incentives system) I guess that's the beauty of someone in OSU's program...coming up with good schedules we can do pretty well with
  9. that's not terribly far away a west virginia or kentucky site might be within driving distance too (if anyone knows of some)
  10. A few friends and I have been watching all the travel shows on tv....and are interested in the ones where you can pan on gold stake rivers Or go dig around at a gemstone site for xxxx gems Tons of them out there Arkansas = diamonds Cali = gold, etc etc Are there any interesting (or at all) ones in Ohio? Sounds like it'd be a fun little trip
  11. Sociological Imagination a buzzword she might like to hear wikipidea it or something But basically leads to you acknowledging your part in society...as a part and parcel of a much larger thing (and how you affect it) kinda....transcending yourself through education
  12. obviously you'd be stupid to do it and very risky (felony, i believe) But it's sure fun to think about =]
  13. I heard this is being used by people doing Bull Run...the competitive races between NY and California http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/trlich.html Easily worth twice the cost...if it wasn't illegal and wouldn't get me into a world of shit. I wonder if you could put it on a toggle switch and just flip it on/off for pissy driving occasions
  14. anyone else shop around and find a good deal on a digital camera? I'm tired of the kodak's and ready for a canon elph
  15. exactly what i was wondering....those harbor freight special for $40.00
  16. I'm in the market for a good die grinder Electric 20 - 30k rpm with a no-load in the same area so, a good one Anyone have a spare or one they don't use or a good suggestion on a brand?
  17. with what police have to go through on a daily basis...i don't doubt they're a bit jaded, to say the least i'll be one of the first to give a bad opinion of most of them: but i can't say i wouldn't act similarly if that was my job for a significant amount of time
  18. never heard of 'the catalog' it's a '67 12 bolt i have some decent money in, so i should probably do it right and i'd like it to be glossy...i sorta question whether the knockoff stuff would be very pretty
  19. I've been looking for this goop for quite a while. Jegs, Napa...autozone - noone sells it (i swear autozone used to sell it) I'm wanting the stuff you paint on with a brush which gets ridiculously tough. I'm tired of the enamel paint i'm using having rust come through in a few months of weathering.... I'm considering the Napa knock-off stuff if i can't find the eastwood stuff or, if someone has half a gallon leftover or something...
  20. neat but, unfortunately...probably won't help me
  21. i've been researching the different types at this point, i'd be game for whatever was most economical/available ...i'm an OSU student, not that it may help... what program has that stuff at OSU?
  22. Anyone have any experience with this? Stuff like pewter, tin, lead = easy (low melting point) Are there any local companies that will take your mold and throw some aluminum in there? Any possibilities or experience, here? I know they make home setups to do it, but i'm not terribly interested in that i anticipate hearing that it's ridiculously expensive, but i'm curious lead, pewter..etc....melt around 500 or 600 degrees, i think you can do that stuff on your stovetop Aluminum around 1200...which makes it more suitable for engine apps I wouldn't mind playing with some brackets and making small, custom parts nothing too complicated - mostly flat stuff
  23. another person that feels compelled to comment Yay! I'm well aware that it's more akin to a criminal history check. That being said, I would wager that a little mark is put next to your name somewhere...that says you've had this process performed. It isn't hard to link the two, if the government chose (and probably does choose...whether it's publicized or not). A de facto gun registration, as far as I'm concerned
