Interesting thread i've got an 'ole 10 second car without motor/trans right now - but otherwise setup for racing it's a '67 lemans http://homepages.udayton.edu/~mertzgea/car12.JPG http://homepages.udayton.edu/~mertzgea/car15.JPG I'd have to think hard about any sort of 'donation' but i'd give it up cheaply - and throw in a decent 389 to build up for it - if we got serious about it but building pontiacs to race is an expensive proposition - everything else is cheaper/lighter/more feasible ....i guess a big block mounts in easy enough too though

reading your shit hurts my head - please leave we'll have fun in your absense - i assure you nice job on not responding to ANYTHING he accused you of I trust that there are some reasonable members of CR (somewhere) If you are truly being wronged in some manner, or are not guilty of the accusations - simply present your case ...otherwise, we'll assume you're the guilty party as the evidence is mounting
-
holy shit so much ammo I don't see any responses to any accusations - how about responding to the content of what he said rather than the manner of how he said it? All i see is a poorly constructed rant with enough mistakes and spelling errors to think you don't have a GED ...and blah blah blah - legal threat from lawyer you can't afford.... What damages are you going to prove against JP? "Your honor, I request that you grant me $5.00 recompense because JP scared me and called me bad names, even though they were deserved" If you don't want hammered on this site, try to make some sense and respond to the allegations accused of you

actually...slander can be libel in certain circumstances For example...if you say something on a radio about someone - it's technically slander (oral) but it is so widespread that it becomes libel very quickly and treated as such it's much more complicated than you're going to discover from looking it up on wikipedia just ignore it - slander and libel are almost impossible to prove

thanks for the replies hoping to get an older one to look period correct rochester or carter built - not edelbrock (prefer) no electric choke Nurk's is the chevy style..the gas line coming in the side if i can't find anything along these lines, i'll think about considering something else here's an example - a different one i have that's already on another car http://homepages.udayton.edu/~mertzgea/qjet2.JPG ...probably a tall order and i'll have to look on ebay - but ya never know
-
wanting an 'ole quadrajet it's going on a pontiac, so prefer one that has the front feed on it....and not an 80's q-jet 750 or 800 cfm auto or manual trans (wanting manual trans) shoot me the # on the driver's side - i'll know what it means and know if it's something i could use 702xxx or 704xxxxxx thanks (i'm starting a build on a 455 pontiac)
-
i'm not seriously thinking it would either it'd be nice if we could all throw in $20, but it won't happen ...i'd even go $50

how much would it take per member for us to have an official Columbus Racing dyno? =]
-
ok - that clarifies things a bit - makes it a lot more interesting I might have thought he should have checked the serial numbers, but the valve cover thing is pretty shady - shows intent to deceive thanks for clarifying

I don't know much about probe's but i find it rather weird that someone bought a car and then cried that it didn't have the motor in it that he thought it had Is there no way to visually ID the motor on a probe? Forged pistons it's hard to tell - granted (i don't expect you to tear down the engine)...but it seems a little pitiful that someone would buy a performance mod car and then realize it isn't even the engine/exhaust/intake/throttle body - did the buyer forget to pop the hood or do these things look similar to stock parts? (i'm not taking sides - just curious) Give me 10 seconds with a 60's pontiac and I can ID every part visually and know if it's worth a fuck or not And i've yet to meet a seller that didn't believe his car was gold - has a L342 big block motor with 530 factory horsepower that is one of one that Michael Jackson drove for the first 10 years of his career Or did the buyer just not know anything about cars and took this guy for his word? ...help us understand so we can form an opinion

if he tried to put that in my driveway, i'd hurt my foot kicking him so hard (one of the many things wrong, that i see...) i don't see the lambo door staying up on its own anyone wanna bet he's standing under it cuz the cylinder doesn't work properly and it'd fall down without him there? -
i swear, if OSU doesn't shut down for once, the president is going to find a snow shovel up his ass
-
looked at some today that retailed for just over 21k they were immediately offerring 3,000 in rebates does anyone out there know what the max is that they should be offerring? if they offer 3k pretty quick, makes me wonder if i can get 4k or 5k
-
i'll give ya $100 for the 6-al and you can wire it up without it ...i'd think about a $300 maaco paintjob might help with the sale
-
*shrug* maybe they're making him pay too much and giving him $ for his tradein instead i think they quoted him 16,900 for a new truck, f150 auto shortbed (i think, shortbed) a/c and auto - only options...didn't seem bad to me i haven't seen any used trucks that cheap - we had initially thought we should buy a slightly used one his trade-in is very clean - all highway miles on a loaded truck
-
ricart looks to have a hell of an inventory i think he's wanting new - warranty - and good $ on his tradein he's found them locally - where he's from for 17,000 - giving him 4k on his 200k tradein ('96 f150) 12k, 13k for a new truck isn't bad at all - seems like some of the used ones are more expensive, ironically

since this passed without people screaming, RACIST!!! i'll add another: (no offense meant to this group) The parking lot to my house is behind a sushi restaurant, so it's frequented by asians a solid 10 hours a day everyone on the block knows of the 'ADD' problem Asian Driving Disorder I swear, some of you would choke, crying so hard...as you watched them try to park a car. It's like a pinball machine back there. A carload of 4 of them and 3 get out...trying to guide the other in. The pinball effect wrecks hell on all of our cars. . . Several times, i've stood there in awe...some of the crazy shit they do. I'll have to start carrying a camera (mind you - it isn't being asian that makes them bad drivers - it must be the culture they come from and not being used to parking wherever they're from)
-
My dad's coming into town tomorrow he's wanting a new truck, F150 - auto trans, full size no supercab or crazy options - cheap..other than auto trans and a/c - 6 cylinder what dealer around has the most options, inventory? any suggestions? thanks
-
i used to have a norinco that i liked quite a bit... i might post a 'wanted' ad for one of those =] i suppose that's a much different story than a hipoint

where?

one some of the other forums i frequent, jumping a post like this and buying out from under someone else is a bannable offense - or at least get you a vacation ....should be here too, although we rarely have the problem

interesting point i've got billet specialties breathers now the type that unscrew, so you can replace the filtering element in side of them they're billet though - will those weld into the aluminum without too much headache? (might be easiest)

i think the best example of the 'self esteem' issue is right here in this thread - how many people idly sit and think they could have easily passed that test, or think that they know most of the answers i'm in law school and that test would have kicked my ass ...itd take more than a few days to memorize all of that and keep it straight ever try to memorize all of the amendments? they get muddied up after a while

no a/c on our elementary buses - just big fans the risk assessment discussion has my vote ....damned OSU sure didn't cancel
