  1. had just covered her face with an oily rag and she wasn't too happy about it, actually
  2. thanks for the info is it mostly 40's and 50's or mostly 60's? i'll give him a call out of curiosity andd see if it's worth the drive
  3. interesting - but a solid hour away from downtown hard to find any...anymore that haven't already scrapped all their old stuff
  4. i'm young, so i didn't grow up with them 1. 1968 impala, 396/4:88 gears (rusted hulk i wouldn't want to show a picture of - but it screamed) 2. 1968 dart GTS, 360 with hemi hood - looked wild but was just a 13 second car 3. 1967 GTO - all original, 4 spd...primered and wasn't too pretty - but new motor in stock form touched 13.9 4. 1966 gto convertible - original block, but everything else changed - 12 bolt is about to be installed and i'm shooting for low 12's (389, 5 spd, etc) I've had a dozen other cars inbetween including a '67 Grand prix, 400/4spd, a '65 mustang fastback, several other GTO's Also have a '68 bonneville 428 4spd convertible and a different '66 GTO convertible in the garage (if anyone likes pontiac stuff or knows people that do - i've got plenty) http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/1402/vertizz8.jpg http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/6645/68dartgtsportredue2.jpg this last picture is the interior of the '68 bonneville convertible HUGE car, but 376 HP 428 4 spd...has surprised many 5.0's at stoplights http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/6822/bonn1je2.jpg
  5. Looking for an interesting walk in and around columbus i like 1962 - 1972 stuff - any old yards around? i'm not expecting to find a COPO camaro in the weeds...just some parts, possibly
  6. i'm not laughing we moved a couch last week with it strapped to the roof - it's a beater a washer is a bit heavier though...more dangerous and the couch was a few streets over the trunk is monstrous....maybe leave the trunk lid up and strap one in? i'll take a look tomorrow
  7. think we could fit them in the back of a '92 buick lesabre's trunk, one at a time?
  8. when i was 20, i had a '67 GTO i've got pictures somewhere of the neon red 4" lights i put in the hood scoop there's two small hood scoops in a V on a '67 GTO and i had a 4" neon led mounted behind and above each at night, driving around...you could see a little red glow coming from the scoop (it wasn't a direct or bright light - just the glow of it) i thought it was pretty cool, but a lot of the older guys would just shake their head same car, i got tired of not being able to see the interior late at night (interior lights didn't work) so i mounted neon green lights under the seats i could flip on with a switch those didn't last long. .
  9. haha whell, i ended up calling the tow company signs that are posted everywhere they'll tow as much as we want them to - but they need permission from the owner first evidently there is a 'tow code' and owners must give permission or call when they have individual tows and give that code - otherwise they're not allowed to i have a sneaking suspicion that our landlord has told other properties owned by them to park in our lot if they can't find parking i'm gonna have to start bitching
  10. yea, we've had a problem with the landlord not really caring he has tended to not contact towing companies because he doesn't want people yelling at him over it (when they get towed) however, he gives parking passes and advertises guaranteed parking you don't learn about the parking issue until you live here. . . i'm halfway lucky with the garage, but it's annoyed me enough that i need to do something about it hopefully it won't come down to my 100 pound metal bumper vs their 18 ounce plastic bumper
  11. well, it seems like 13 people live over there so if it isn't one car, it's another or the neighbor's car, or some random person going to the OSU game Or one of my roommates not being able to park in his outside spot, which makes him park elsewhere - and the chain reaction starts (so my roommates are interested as well - they supposedly have guaranteed parking with a pass...and their spots are usually taken) i live close to high street so it gets insane i sure wouldn't park in front/behind someone's garage so i feel little sympathy for others doing it i've already been stuck in the garage a few times and i'm tired of it - i pay good $$ for monthly parking in that garage
  12. These jackasses across the street keep parking across the alley from my parking garage (they park in front of their own garage - blocking in each other's roommates) It means that i can't pull my car out of the garage, as i need some space to swing the rear-end of the car (it's a tight fit into the small garages around here, ya gotta pull straight out more or less) it drives me nuts when i'm walking to the garage at 8 am and need to be somewhere at 8:30 does anyone know the law on towing? Someone told me that i have to get a permit to be able to call a tow company and have someone towed Do you have to own the garage, lease it? Own the house? Ya even need a permit? Anyone with experience? thanks (i hate to do this, but i've left several notes - ranging from nice at first to...not so nice)
  13. interested in the jack - got a pic or model #?
  14. that's easy to say...with OSU teams being as good as they are after 10 years of being horrible, any fan's patience could be tried
  15. i wasn't too impressed with our first half
  16. isn't 5'9" or so, average? you just end up with more people who are over 6' saying so - noone boasting about being 5'6" next time you're standing in line, look around i play a lot of basketball at 6'1 or 6'2" there are plenty of days when i'm the tallest or one of the taller ones there
  17. down to $500 the carb's gotta be worth $70 - $100 and a bare 4-bolt block is worth $300
  18. offers, trades? (i can't take car trades - i need something a little easier to store/sell)
  19. i had the DMH one on my car for 2 years and never had a single issue i think they're about $70 more than a Qtec though
  20. 3970010 - gearhead was correct it's a 1973 K20 block (I ran the VIN # stamped on the block) meaning, it came out of a big truck, 4x4 or something everyone i've talked to says that means it was a 4-bolt main and i doubt the previous owner lied anyways noone can use it? i have offers on the body car is on ebay ending in 3 days - so hurry up and someone buy the engine and i'll end the ebay auction, instead of leaving it to bidders at the last second =]
  21. your pm's are full, lowered i can't trade - don't have the garage space for two or i wouldn't be selling the first thanks for the offer though
