The only negative that I was told is the sheer cost of the regenerative brakes. A friend has a Prius and says they're damn expensive. Also that mileage is no improvement on current vehicles so why bother having it??

AJ, nothing should change this year, Clippers are still there yet. The only limiting factor will be noise they said, I especially see issues with a drag strip when it comes to noise so it will be interesting to see how they do it.

You shouldn't need numbers but it won't hurt to have them. side note: I started a new thread in the Passing Lane about Cooper Stadium being sold today which very well could affect us, but it looks promising.

How did they do it last year? Did they have you switch instructors after the lunch break?? I as as I didn't attend the OVR school but did the Evo school and that's how they do it.

Don't know if you can request a specific instructor, guess it depends on how many people there are to instructors.

^Got your pm and replied. Your car might be a perfect candidate for this new class. They will get you sorted out when you attend your first event. The SMS class is available this coming sunday so ask for it when you check in at registration as it may not be listed online yet.

It cost me $600(for a fwd) to be rebuilt w/synchros and such years ago, I'm sure someone on here could do it for less than that. You may stumble on a newer one with less miles in good shape for a couple hundred, only bad thing is the unknown if anything is wrong with it unless you tear it apart. Just saw someone is parting out a 2g awd in the Swap Meet, AFAIK the 2g trannies are pretty much identical and should work, see if he has it.

Rebuild it or pick up a newer one with less miles.
