  1. Hell, that's nowhere near as bad as that Tundra. I had no intention of going with that dark of tint anyway, maybe 20% but was looking at their 33% which should have some transparency to it. Even the 35% has a 53% heat rejection which is a lot more than most tints, the 20% goes up to a 68% heat rejection which is the best you can get without going to ceramic or crystalline which is super expensive. Hmmm, now I'm rethinking it all, was leaning away from the black chrome with the pics of that tundra. Dammit.....lol. Thanx for the pix.
  2. Duff, appreciate the tip, any pics by chance or is that Tundra spot on?? I had hoped maybe it was something like you see on other things, but it looks like not.
  3. I saw that pic of the Tundra, if it's that chrome I won't do it. Not worried about the cell signal but I did read that it will interfere as it's a "metallic" tint. Legal I'm told by the tint shop is 35%, others are telling me 20% but I found 33% is the max. Reflective tint is allowed at 35% but as I said I don't want the chrome at all.
  4. Anyone seen or have experience with the 3M "Black Chrome" window tint?? I'm looking at tint for the Mustang as it's neccessary down here with the sun and leather in the car. The Black Chrome is supposed to have the best heat rejection even compared to the ceramic and I don't mind the darker stuff, just curious to how "chrome" it is as I don't want that. Google brings up random pics of "black" and "chrome" window tint but it's hard to tell on some of them. The shop did have a smaple of the stuff on a slide type thing but no real examples of how it looks on a car so I'm reluctant with it yet.
  5. 1st rule of FD RX7's is ditch the wankel. 2nd rule of FD RX7's is ditch the wankel. 3rd rule......oh you get the point. Great chassis let down by a motor that has half as many moving parts, half as reliable and costs vastly more to maintain. Talk to Tinman.
  6. Badass, elise almost on 2 wheels!! Takumi!!!:gabe:
  7. This is why I quit going to Alum Creek years ago. Hell it's a bitch to launch/load a boat with all the idiots at the ramp, last time I was there we watched a guy sink his buddies pickup backing it down the ramp.
  8. Props to all involved. We should be thankful to the SCCA guys whom put a lot of effort into helping this along, collecting signatures, etc... Dan "Boots" Longenette(sp?) was a big supporter of this as well.
  9. Yeah, I remember riding in a 79' 930 Turbo, thing was a dog until it spooled and when it did it was fucking scary!!
  10. I understand, a T04R can't be cheap to replace and I'm surprised it's folded like that. Linn, I may be wrong but with maybe the exception of the very first Z they've always been 6cyl's. I know times change but the VQ is a hell of a nice engine, enjoyed the hell out of the 370Z I test drove last summer.
  11. Eat a dick.:dumb: Yes his is quite a lot faster than mine will likely ever be.
  12. He's been there with the Talon, then traded it for the FD.
  13. Hopefully Shawn doesn't scare the shit out of you, that car of his rolls the fuck out!!
  14. I would sport a current Z if I could, wouldn't give 2 shits about the fuel economy in a car like that as it will never get 26mpg while I'm driving it. They're following the trend everyone is doing, the next gen mustang is going the same route with lighter/smaller and the Ecoboost will be the standard engine(most importantly and 20 years overdue is IRS).
  15. The elevation is what I would like to see most myself. Banking could be tough to incorporate in there but I'm sure it could be done. If I had the tools and talent to make one of these I would, I don't so I will happily pick one of these up soon, will make a nice decoration once I get to owning a garage one day.
  16. Try delivering pizza in New Albany, you won't get tipped at all, you will make all your money delivering in middle class neighborhoods and ghettos.
  17. I've seen one in person, top notch quality and it's made with a skillset I certainly do not possess. Maybe we can talk Tinman into making us some out of Billet Aluminum??
  18. http://www.linearedge.com/ My friend has one of these and they are beautiful. I plan on picking up the Mid-Ohio outline soon.
  19. Sprinkles here in Grove City right now.
  20. ^Ooh, someone wants to hook chains!! I'd take you up on that, your V10 vs. my I6 tug-o-war hauling whatever!! 7am and it's hovering at 80 degrees already, this is just like Phoenix just more humid.
  21. Brakes, brakes, brakes!! Good fluid, pad, and bleeding and you sould be fine. I've had no issues with the ATE Super Blue but there's lots of other good stuff. Wish I could go with, fun track.
  22. You have them on the A4?? I know your ass isn't going today as I know how much you love the heat.
  23. $500 on the Beetle unless your spraying the hell out of that tank. Tim, they just don't make stuff like that anymore do they?? I'll take one of those thermometers over the new ones anyday.
  24. My ride fell through due to the heat, and I think a 2 driver car would just melt the tires anyway. Anyone running Star Specs should be good, most of the Phoenix guys run them because they can handle the heat.
