  1. That looks like it's down my way, would love to know where it is.
  2. Thanx for posting, stepdad has a Trailblazer and he parks in the garage so I could see this possibly being a problem for him.
  3. Just saw this on the news this morning, unreal and proves again how important safety systems are in a sport like that.
  4. Typically 90 for drives and trailer, 100 for steers, either way they can fuck up your day at that pressure.
  5. Car is looking good Greg, you really got her cleaned up. The racing stripes look like they shaved at LEAST 4 sec a lap off your time!!:gabe:
  6. The first few cars the dummy essentially bypassed the air bag and looks like they hit the dash, that Lincoln was appaling. The Benz and Volvo clearly held up quite well. I agree with this being a legit test, most accidents are not likely 2 cars going perectly head on, that probably almost never happens and from what I've seen on the road for 8 years now most accidents the cars are not perfectly head on or perpendicular to each other, usually in between. I do like the comment on being better drivers, that alone could reduce the accident/fatality rate considerably.
  7. Better to be safe than sorry right?? You probably heard the phrase "only go as fast as you feel safe" at some point in your downloads likely, they mean it. I have only had a 2 wheels off so far in my 4 times to a road course and that was in the rain, I have always driven my car to the track and thus I have to drive back so it means leaving a bit out there but if it means bringing myself and car home in 1 peice I can live with it.
  8. Yeah, China Beach has a lot of room unless you really screw up bad but if you do it before the carousel it seems like it could be a disaster. The keyhole I found tough to find just the right line as theres so much room, when you do it right though it makes such a huge difference down the straight.
  9. "Racing is a disease cured only by poverty". You'd be amazed how deep you can go into China Beach(Turn 4 depending on how you count em), also the uphill left hander before the carousel when done right is so satisfying. I miss Mid-Ohio already.
  10. Yep, it's one of the things they first pound into you when you get your CDL about accident avoidance is not to swerve except in an extreme situation. Otherwise if you manage to "Avoid" the obstacle and crash in the ditch, you can obviously kill yourself doing that or if you survive you get a "Failure to control" ticket.
  11. Though it's tough to stay calm in a panic situation of avoiding a situation at high speed if people were actually trained better in panic stops like "not swerving" while standing on the brakes it would go a long ways. I've seen Corvettes upside down, not surprised in the least to see something as tall as this nearly flip.
  12. Seem ones like that all the time in Texas, many of their high schools have bigger/better sports facilities than small colleges.
  13. Stay away from Toshiba, mines been problematic from day 1. I miss my HP, solid laptop.
  14. Jones' ride doesn't need it, those things sound great without being loud.
  15. A lot of it has to do with OSU's history with Clemson and they will never allow anyone to forget what Woody did. That and it's SEC country.
  16. One of the things I love about Arizona are all the Buckeyes down here.
  17. No, just not mount a water tank used to "COOL" the air charge on "TOP" of the "HOT" engine built into the "HOT" blower. Simple side or front mount air-to-air unit typically works the best. Those lap times are likely due to the IRS, hence why I am finally excited about a Mustang as the next gen car will finally have it, just hoping it's a decent multilink or something and not what I saw in the spy photos.
  18. Precisely, can't keep up with anything anymore at all. I have never been a fan of air-to-water anything, just one more thing to heat soak and leak. Like the TVS SC, it's a very efficient unit but it's flaw is the IC being built into the unit, I know why they did it that way but it's still a foolish way to package something like that, kind of like the top mount IC's on the Subies. All in all looks like a nice package for this car to compete with the Boss, and considering Ford still won't put Brembos on the rear the Camaro already has a leg up imo.
  19. Was not aware, sounds like it's unneccessarily complicated meaning there's more shit to break but hell if I know how they have it setup.
  20. Yeah, SC would be heat soaked in no time, especially that TVS on there, just ask Jones about IAT's with that stupid air to water cooler mounted on TOP of the engine within the SC housing. This looks like a nice package, and considering the IRS, Brembos front and REAR(Hello Ford??) it should spank the Boss.
  21. Be Brian and liven up a thread! Odds are I will end up with the Color Stable black tint. Ben, I misquoted a bit, the Ceramic is $500, Crystalline $600, that's installed of course. The Black Chrome is $300, $350 for the Color Stable.
  22. Yeah, it's been hard to gauge with some pics it's looks decent and others it's super reflective. The ceramic tint is great and the Crystalline they have now blocking over 90% of heat is unreal, but at $600 for tint I'll pass on those. They have the Color Stable for $300 and all the locals here say to get the color stable at least as the sun will turn anything else blue in a year or 2. Rocky, I did the same but if you look Google is pulling up pics of "black" tint and "chrome" tint, one of those little things search engines don't do well at times, it's pulling anything with wither of those words in it. Just wish I could find someone down here with it so I could see it in person and end the debate for me, still have until next Thur when my appt is though.
  23. Damn. My mom sells shit on Etsy and has this problem all the time with shipping, it's a numbers game for the shipping companies and they still make plenty of money with the claims vs. having to actually take care of shit and not break it. I thought it was a miracle when my Corbeau showed up at IPS and the box was virtually unscathed!!
