Been wanting to pick up a 1911 for a while, and found a pretty good deal on this one. (sorry it is a cell phone pic) http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/Snapbucket/4EED8B5D-orig.jpg?t=1310782370 Kimber Custom II 45 I haven't shot it yet(I have shot similar ones) but it feels great in the hand. I'll update Sunday once I actually see how I do with it. Btw the guys at Woodbury in coshocton are really cool to deal with.

Well in a seemingly endless string of trades on cars, I have ended up with an 02 WRX It has 128,000 miles. Clear title. Pearl Silver Metallic. 5 speed. The body is rough, and the tranny has some issues. The car runs fine but under a sharp turn, one of the rear tires locks up. (ie. the car "lot drives", but really should be towed to it's destination) **PICS UP** If someone buys it as it sits, I will let it roll for $4,500.

I agree with your numbers, but for sake of sarcasm and seeing the venue is the kitchen... I laid it on thick

No way..... I know 100 people CRAZY enough to stay in the gas above 150. Fuck, a brick on the gas pedal would do the trick. I know MAYBE a dozen people that can actually put a sub 10 second pass together. How many cars have you seen run 12+ seconds at 120+ mph?? I have seen A LOT How many roll races have you seen lost because people had to let out due to "lack of skill" driving at high speeds?? I have seen maybe one Now I am not saying it doesn't take skill to keep a car under control at 160+... because is does. The difference is any moron with the stupidity to do so, can stay in the gas and risk wrecking. However, if you can't launch a car... you just can't launch a car, and stupidity won't make you ET well, no matter how "crazy" you are. Hell, before she passed, my grandmother was gaining serious street cred for her roll racing skills.... and she couldn't walk up a flight of stairs unassisted. REAL TALK

Dig race = 60% skill 40% power, weight, and suspension Roll race = 80% power 19% balls 1% skill

You willing to meet half way between Columbus and Cambridge?? If so, I'd take it off your hands on Wednesday.

Bump. Still available

Yes, it still runs rich. I don't think it is anything major though. It really can't be. The car ran perfect when we took the blower off. The guys that put everything back on probably missed something. If the car isn't sold by Sunday I am going to take a look at it for him. If anyone wants to check it out for themselves before hand, feel free to let me know, and I will get you in touch with the owner. PMs returned

$7000 obo 65k on body 25k on Keith Craft Engine 10K on TKO 2K on blower setup pm me for contact info I had this listed here before for significantly more, so here is the story.... (INBEFORECOOLSTORYBRO.JPG) A friend of mine (who is an older guy) had this car. He bought it for $14,700 and then spent probably another 15k on mods and maintenance (which I have the receipts for) but got a burr up his ass to sell it. I had it sold for him for 11k last year. Guy comes to pick it up and sees the title says REBUILT and backs out. I tell my friend that he should have told me, so I could have disclosed it... because that makes a big difference. He is oblivious to the fact, as he thought it was no big deal.(thats how it was when he bought it) Anyways he tells me to make him an offer, he just wanted it gone. I tell him 7k. He tells me no way, that he can sell the blower for 3500 blah blah blah. So we agree at 5k without the intercooled procharger and some fuel stuff. I planned on going with a turbo kit anyways, so no worries. Well when I was finally ready to get the turbo stuff I find the 10th anniversary Cobra that I bought, so I sold this to a friend who bugged the shit out of me ever since I bought it. The original owner still had the blower and fuel parts as no one would give him 3500 for it. So the new guy buys all that stuff for 2,000. The problem is he doesn't know shit about cars. He pays a couple guys to install it and the car is all together. For some reason though the car is running rich as fuck now. He has put maybe 5 miles on it. Now he wants to sell it, because he couldn't change oil in a car let alone work on this thing. So I told him I would throw it on here as I figured someone might be interested in it. Here are the shitty pics he is trying to sell it with, followed by the mod list I got from the original owner: (I will try and get some good ones this week) http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/stang1.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/stangside.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/mustangengine.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/stangint.jpg Motor Block: Fully Machined and Prepped Ford Racing Sportsmen with main support grdle Crankshaft: Production 302 Stroke: 3.000" Connecting Rods: Eagle I-Beam 5.090 Pistons: Probe Forged Replacement Timing Chain: Ford Motorsport Double Roller Camshaft: Ford Anderson B-41 Lifters: Ford Motorsport Hydraulic Roller Cylinder Heads: Edelbrock Performer Rocker Arms: Scorpion 1.6 Roller Intake: Edelbrock Performer 5.0 Throttle Body :BBK 75mm Mass Air Meter:C and L housing With Pro M Sensor Oil Pump: Melling High Volume Oil Pan: Canton 7qt deep sump pan Power Adder: Prochager P-1SC with 2 core CX racing Intercooler and Prochager piping, Prochager Bov, Anderson Racing Power-Pipe, Vortech Crank Pulley with ATI 15lb Upper Cooling: Proform Electric water pump, Griffin 3 core radiator with 3000cfm perma cool fan. Who do you guys know of or recommend? I've seen Astor and Black.... But I don't think they are worth quite their going rate.
-
Meh... Define need... The core value of a good evo block and crank warrant taking the precautionary step. A daily sees too many variables in terms of fuel, temperature, altitude etc. So you either tune the car really safe, or you throw a built bottom end in and never worry about it. The factory rods and pistons suck anyways. I know of a lot of evos that went really fast on stock blocks.... Shortly before creating holes in them.
-
The read diffs are assembled wrong from the factory. Every single usdm rear diff is wrong. Take it apart and put it back together per the book,... Problem solved. The transfer cases go because people don't preload the drivetrain before launching. You'll be happy with an Evo. I miss mine all the time. I will have another one as soon as I find a good enough deal. The market on these cars is WAY up over the past year, for whatever reason. Get an 8, take it to Buschur and have him build the bottom end, throw a FP black turbo, and supporting mods on it and be done. Best all around setup you can have.

Did kevinr make that graph? Seriously ofcoarse the top 1% makes grossly more... That's the definition of "top 1%" at the beginning of the graph the "top 1%" makes less than the average... Well that's isn't the top anything... Its less than average. Also productivity slowly increased..... EL fucking OH fucking EL. People are so lazy now, it's not even funny. Even just 10 years ago an 8 hour work was atleast 7 hours of work. Now it seem like it's 4 hours of work an hour of breaks and 3 hours of surfing the net... Back on topic: Sorry to hear your company is going to shit. Big business sucks. Find a niche in the market you know well and find a way to start your own business based on it. Best way to real freedom.

I can get access and bid on it via simulcast. Cars have been bringing top dollar at the Columbus sale lately though. Do you have a particular car picked out, and if so what's the run number.

Any word on Drag Day #2????

You don't HAVE to use college advantage.... But some of the other options (ie American Funds) contributions are not state tax deductible. College advantage isn't "government run". The funds are managed by investment companies. Be thankful that Ohio changed. The state plan used to be Putnam... And those funds were aweful. You don't have to use an advisor either.. But A shares still charge you the same upfront fee.. And C shares still carry the same 12b1 ongoing fee. Any regular advisor won't charge anything aditional to manage the account (which if you use age based allocation anyone could do) but atleast you have someone to do the paperwork and leg work for you.
-
529 like everyone said. Contributions are state tax deductible (up to a certain amount) plus you won't have to claim any gains as long as the money withdrawn is used for education. You can actually start a "college fund". It becomes it's own entity, has a tax id and everything.... But unless you have maxed you 529, 401k, and IRA contributions, I would even start looking at it.

I use one of my AMEX cards for everything. Gas, food, clothes, pay all my other bills online with it. I pay it off every month and never pay any interest. The points rack up fast using it to pay literally everything I spend. A multiplier hits after the first couple months of every year, and over a 12 month span it ends up with around a $1500 cash rebate. Sometimes I check the other "redeemable perks" because sometime you can get say $300 worth of a gift certificate for $200 worth of Amex dollars already accrued. You just have to make sure you really pay it off EVERY month. If not, your always on the losing side.

I somehow managed to let myself get up to 206 lbs. 2 years ago I was 160 Just started two weeks ago: quit pop started eating nothing but fruits, vegetables, nuts, chicken, turkey, and drinking tons of water (eating 5-6 small portions a day) started working out Mon, Wed, and Fri Tues Thurs and Sat I run, but have been doing "interval training" So I will jog for 3 minutes, run all out for 1 (repeat 3x) Already down 18lbs. I feel 10x better. Way more energy and focus.

Bump for a $200 discount. $1800 now

Modern society = fail We should go back to cutting peoples hands off for that shit.

I look at it like this: Warranty companies exist for one reason only.... To make profit. That being said, depending on your situation, they could be a great idea. Example: Family A lives pay check to paycheck. The car they are buying (and financing) will be used for transportation to and from work for the next 3-4 years. They couldn't afford a brand new car with full factory warranty. They also couldn't afford to throw 3k at a repair should something happen. They can swing the extra $40 a month the warranty adds to their payment. In this situation, it's a no brainer. They NEED the warranty as a measure of risk mitigation. Without it, a serious mechanical failure could be financially devastating to them. I doubt this is the case for you. So in your case, if you spend 4k on a warranty, you are essentially betting on the car being a huge liability. If you think it may have problems, but are getting a great deal on the car, that would make sense. Otherwise, I might pass.
