Oh, and never ever buy a pure bread dog of any kind from petland. They don't do genetic testing, and I've heard of breeding to bloodlines WAY too closely related.
-
It was more directed at sturg and mrtbolt. No big deal at all though. Just throwing the other side of it out there.
-
If the bloodline had health problems, this can be common. Knock on wood none of the ones I know personally have had any problems at all. (a couple dozen dogs that friends and family own)

Ughhh. I usually don't even argue this. 2k for a dog is stupid. Just as stupid as 2k for a set of rims, or 30k for a car that you drive only in summer that depreciates every year. Just as stupid as buying top shelf liquor, $900 suits, $160 Nike shox, or $150 north face coats. They are a unique dog. Very chill, very loving, and require very little "maintenance" contrary to popular belief. Typical expenses just to have a litter are usually 3k. (insemination, vet appointments, X-ray, c section, shots, medicine, and registration fees. ) Have one or two dogs, and you lost money. They aren't for everyone, but don't be as ignorant as the people that judge you and your car habits. Mods feel free to leave the misc posts up. I don't mind.

Yeh, Anthony is right. $1900 for males $2000 for females.

My breeder had another litter of puppies available. I figured I would throw them on here, incase there was any interest. Her website is bunchofbull-dogs.com http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/DSC_0079-1.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/DSC_0088-1.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/DSC_0015-1-1.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/DSC_0035-1.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/DSC_0044-1.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/DSC_0061-1.jpg

http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1326801/000119312512034517/d287954ds1.htm ^^ Facebook S-1,.... for what it is worth. If there are 5 people on this entire site with the means to get in on this I would be surprised. ( And I am fully aware there are some VERY well off people on here)

No kidding? I just picked up a short sale and had to sign papers out the yin yang stating that I didn't have any agreements with the previous owner and would not rent it out to them or anything. Edit: those papers were required by one of her banks taking the loss, not mine

This is what I was eluding to earlier. You can't repair credit without getting credit. Getting credit during a repair process also means paying higher interest. Paying higher interest means throwing money away. Avoiding throwing money away is the only reason why you are considering doing it in the first place. Like you said, catch 22. What's that saying about not cutting off your nose to spite your face...
-
Maybe I came off wrong. I see it as a 100% good thing and try my best to follow the same thinking myself. It's just rare anymore to see someone truly execute it. Your posts remind me of my dad telling me that saying. It was a compliment.

Tim's mantra: Live like no one else WILL today.... So you can live like no one else CAN later.

What if they became unable to care for themselves and had to be placed in assisted living, or even worse if they passed away and the home now becomes property of their estate. I'm just trying to be objective so you see sides of it you may not have considered. I also had a friend go through the same thing. He did a short sale. He was also then taxed on the 40k that the bank forgave as "income". There are instances where short sales/ forclosures are the right answer, but from what I can collect of your situation, your's isn't one of them. But in the end it's your decision and if anyone else doesn't like it, tell them to kiss your ass.
-
Suck it up and pay it. You will essentially "throw away" 40k, but if you just walk away or even work out a short sale I bet you end up paying over 40k in additional interest on future purchases because of what it did to your credit. Even if you have your in-law purchase you a new house that is 250k, and in a couple years you get it put in your name. Even if you only pay 1% higher rate than the best available because of the forclosure, the extra interest over 30 years will be higher than 40k. Plus whatever additional interest you pay on car loans for the next 10 years, credit cards etc...

Maybe I need to read the fine print. I'm going to keep researching it. On top of the whole money saving/ green thing, It would be really nice to not be grid dependent. I know some months maybe even most I would still be buying power, but should something happen I could still run most of the important stuff in the house.
-
I've already switched every light to CFLs, all high effient appliances, etc. I'm also looking into geothermal to further reduce power usage. That's what I keep coming up with too. Damn if I could make it work out to 10 years somehow I'd be game. Also on the 15 year panel lifespan, I have found a bunch with 25 year warranties.
-
To further explain. Any joe shmoe with an Ameritrade account (or the likes) will be able to buy it in the open market shortly after the IPO, but expect to pay at least a 30% premium over what it actually IPOs at.
-
They haven't filed an S-1... so there is no IPO yet, just speculation. When it does happen, to even have a chance you will need an account at a huge firm and have a bunch of assets with them and be a regular trader. So many people will want in on the actual IPO and very very few will actually have an opportunity.

I planned on building, but decided to wait one more year trying to find something used. Ended up picking up a 5 year old house almost identical to what I wanted to build for about half of what I would have had into building it. Find a real estate agent familiar with working short sales. Full disclosure: be prepared for it to be a long drug out process,... But way worth it. I just moved into it last week, and it's probably the best deal I've ever got on anything I've bought. (and that says a lot) Be patient, always be looking, and be prepared to pull the trigger the instant you find that deal. Because if you aren't, someone else will be.

Thats why I want to do it now. However the flip side of the coin is, we are talking about "technology" which usually gets exponentially cheaper with time. I found some systems online that have solar panels (which move with the sun) and a wind turbine together. They are rated for like 5k watts and run 20k before any subsidies. If I could double dip with the tax credits and grants for both since the system does both it should reduce the real out of pocket expense to around 10k. My biggest question are if these systems actually produce that kind of power in Ohio given our lesser exposure to sun than say the south west.
-
I'm seriously looking into putting in a solar and wind system in. Ohio is a net metering state, so any power produced in excess to your usage has to be credited back to you. I have found tons of tax and grant rebate incentives, but I'm not finding any hard concrete real world reviews from anyone in Ohio with these kind of systems. Anyone here have any knowledge in the subject or experience with either?
-
If you figure out a way to do it without camping out, I'd love to know too. My boys love WWE and would flip to be ringside, but I'll be damned if I'm paying 3x face value like everyone sells them for online.

He doesn't "do well" because he isn't really a Republican. He is a libertarian running as a Republican. So die hard republicans don't like him. The whole system is flawed beyond repair. From open primaries that allow the other party to vote for the weaker "opponent" to the fact that we still utilize an electoral college.

Ding ding ding Tell em what he's won!

I miss all the good shit! Can't wait to go back. As soon as I get this move behind me, I'm going to try and make it down for an IDPA shoot.

I just took a tactical pistol class at a place called S.T.A.R.T. I will be going back for the advanced class which is primarily Close Quarters Combat with simunation. The place is owned by an ex Seal, and I can't say enough good about it aside from I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone interested in improving your arms handling skills. http://www.strt.us Most people will learn more in one day at this place than they collectively have in their entire life about properly handling/using a firearm.
