Edit: Nevermind. I see he's came in and already answered you. QUOTE=Farkas;1780758]interested in letting go of the Webers? "ended up ditching the webers... they just werent going to be right, especially being 45s, for what the car was aimed at. was going to need to rejet, and would have choked down which would have just required more investment and time than was worth putting into something that was gonig to be ALL top end. i traded them for some race prepped SU carbs in very good order, rebuilt by a long time 240z master around here Bob Smith"

Nice. Love those old Datsuns so loving the build thread. I would like to mention after enhancing one of your photos, I found some disturbing images....
  4. Awesome, man. I so wanna pick one up. Have to see how the next few months pan out now that the RAV will be paid off in October. Did you have a thread with all the info on upgrades, what kit or parts, expected power - any of that stuff? If not, plz post or pm. Thanks.
  5. Nice pics. Plan on going real soon.
  6. He does. Not sure what year Audi but not a new one. Don't even recall the model. Girlfriend came in awhile back after stopping at the drivethru atm at Chase near the house. Guy was laying on his horn behind her after literally just pulling up. All she was doing was getting some cash. (Something tells me he may've been less aggressive if it weren't a woman in a RAV.) I guess everyone has their bad days. Anyway, she describes the car and I immediately start laughing and ask her how she's never seen that exact car around the corner and a few houses down everytime you leave the neighborhood. And that's it. That's the entire story. Not as riveting as the OP's but there ya go. I don't think I've ever even seen the guy, just the hard to miss (unless it's your gf) car.
  7. My best friend way back in the 90s had a Festiva. I could lift the rear end off the ground with him in the backseat. Light as hell. He was 6.5ft tall and the car was white. It looked like he was hatching everytime he got out of it.
  8. For the beach, I feel some kind of old SUV in the flavor of an old Bronco or LandCruiser, etc.
  9. This. But they love to update me about how far back I fell and how they already have a newer version and I'm so awesome for supporting them plz give them money and more emails.
  10. I swear I've seen that plate before. Anyone know an impatient asshat with a black Audi and painted green wheels?
  11. Do you mean me? Not about the rolling my eyes on your nuts. I know that was for me - strange sexual preference, but that's just my opinion. As I said before, they all have problems. Draw some eyes on my balls? Not sure what that'll prove. First, my fastass would have to drive the Tundra to equal yours in the Ford. You'll need the exact same tire, as well and the same driving surface. Truthfully, I'm not sure you'd redneck out that much. Disclaimer: I wish they'd put 6cyl turbos in everything. :fuckyeah:
  12. Hey, mister! That fence is there for a reason! That'll fucking wake you up. I wouldn't have ever taken my eye off him while I calmly and quickly swam back. You don't want to start acting like prey.
  13. Eh, CPS can be a convoluted mess just like any other agency. This is due to the fact that like any other job or government agency, half the people who work there have their heads clear up their asses getting in the way of those who actually know how to exist in the real world and get shit properly done. I gave up on reason in public schools when they got rid fucking kickball.
  14. No shit a complicated product came off an assembly line of thousands and thousands, consisting of millions of tiny parts brought together from the world over and sometimes they have some problems. The fact is Toyota's reputation for quality may not be what it was but it's still one of the best. Just like capitalism. That's just fuckin fact and you can argue until your blue in the face. That's the great thing about facts. For example, it doesn't matter if you believe the world is flat or not. It doesn't change the fact.
  15. How did you guys find out about the full track yesterday? I didn't get my email until today. It came yesterday but not until the track session was already open! Would've been nice to have a headsup but you guys sound like you already had it! I'm kinda pissed. >:-(
  16. lol That's ok. I figured, but hey. Thanks, though. Good luck.
  17. Their are foreign manu's that build plenty of work/HD trucks. What you mean is that it's not financially feasible for them to offer them here. The fact that any manufacturer (other than the big 3) offers a truck here is nothing short of amazing. Anytime you unfairly dissuade competition, it stifles growth. It's why our trucks are just now being integrated with decent up-to-date tech. It's getting harder and harder to get away with feeding us what we'll accept (why are domestics cars are finally starting to match up to more of the foreign competition, as well) as opposed to what we deserve. Just my .02c, of course. I am pretty excited to see how the new all aluminum Ford F150 turns out. If I were in the market for a new full-size truck, I would definitely have to wait around so as to consider it, as well. Apparently, they've been testing them for quite some time in various actual working conditions. They were offered out to various construction groups/agencies, whatever (I dont recall details) without informing those parties of what made these Fords different exactly. In doing so, they've learned what aluminum heavy use areas to reinforce, etc before building and releasing them to the public. What I'm worried about is the cost of repairs, etc and the impending increase in insurance coverage - I would think.
  18. Yeah, definitely some parts missing/unexplained. I'd like to say it was a good thing but not sure. I'm wondering if the murder charge is from a previous incident or not. On the other side of this coin, I watched a live feed of a couple playing DOTA who was robbed. They couple was also armed but the assailants were as well and were able to control them and take all their shit including their firearms. Luckily, people online finally figured out they were being robbed and it was reported to police.
  19. Has this bed ever been sexed in? Also, more seriously and I'm sure this is a no, but would you part with just the headboard?
  20. Looks nice. I like the bricking. My only concern is the large tree in the first pic. It looks like the mulch covers the base of the tree up the trunk. This is bad for most trees and should be cleared of mulch around its base. Hard to see for sure, though. I'd be curious to hear what Anthony thinks.
  21. I was unaware they were building tracks with trees directly in the middle of them.
  22. Just a heads up, Toyota is/was currently the only manufacturer who reports REAL tow ratings. If you don't know what I"m talking about, please look it up. Also, American manufacturers have made it near impossible for foreign companies to sell their work trucks here due to the Chicken Tax while they have continued to find ways to circumvent it with their own imports (Looking at fuckin you, Ford.) Get rid of the chicken tax and watch the big 3 face real competition. You think all those "guys" at a worksite have 'insert domestic truck here' because they're the best truck?! Naive. It's because it's the best deal; it's because domestics offer huge fleet discounts and private discounts. This also negatively affects their resale value. I'm not 'riding dick' here, either. Just stating facts for those who are unaware.
