It was probably like my old neighbor's dumbass little dog who squeezed into my yard and put itself very close to death from my dogs one night. I've noticed a lot of people with little dogs and cats think it's ok to let them run loose. I can't think of too many diseases they transmit that would kill a domestic dog within 48hours. Not that there isn't that chance, obviously. Perhaps, something like parvo or rabies, but the dogs should've been vaccinated against it. I would really like to know what it was exactly they caught if you get a chance to find out or remember. Anyway, I'm not saying this didn't happen, but there are a few things that seem a little unusual to me. I'm really curious about some details. Honestly, my biggest concern would be mange mites. Oh, and the occasional breeding if you have a female in heat. Had it happen to a couple different folks I knew when in Texas. Pups tend towards skittish, though.

Well, now that a federal judge has deemed it free speech, perhaps people can stop being harassed for doing it. Now, they can go back to harassing people for no front license plate or light up windshield fluid squirters or, you know, just not being a particular color or look they like.

I know I've said this in another similar thread, but I really feel if you can't come up with an alternative to killing a wild animal, then I feel you haven't really exhausted your options and really want to kill it or you're just too damn stupid or lazy to come up with something that works. Of course, this is my personal opinion and I'm aware that occasionally there are times this may be the only choice. These times are pretty damn rare and unlikely to occur here. I DO speak from experience having spent many years of my life living WAY out in the woods. We're talking not even a paved road for miles. I've had more than my fair share of various wild animals interacting both with me and my many animals - chickens, goats, horses, rabbits, etc. You can fend shit off without killing it. It just takes the proper approach, respect and time. If you really want to kill something, kill some of those deer you see. We now have a serious overpopulation issue due to our culling of "dangerous" predators. They're also increasing the risks of tick borne disease to a calamitous level.

That's actually still a ticketable offense. Not as easy to read for others I don't think and if you've got the kinda cop to pull you over for your headlights, flashing your fogs are still going to give him an excuse. hahaha Holy shit, that cracked me up. To the OP, as has been suggested, try the simple solution first. Frightening it/driving it off. If it's not finding some good eats at your house and it's being harassed, it's not going to stay. Even if it has a den nearby, it'll likely look elsewhere. What kind of dogs do you have? Are they large, dominant male animals? Females? If so, any in heat?
