  1. Lotta natural rear weight transfer in a 911. Neat car for sure!
  2. Park in left nut, got it.
  3. Better than the current bodies IMO.
  4. Great event for people interested in doing autox, or who only have run a couple events in the past with little instruction. Low key, fantastic instructors, and plenty of seat time. Plenty of great driver's on this site who have passed through this course.
  5. Meh, idk. It was Simmon's car, the throw out bearing was about to self destruct, plus he has some extras to do on the motor, so we just yanked the motor real quick and got him fixed up.
  6. 9 times out of 10 when you build a car, it will sell/be for sale for less than what the person has in it. UNLESS it is a grassroots simple swap, but even at that it is hard to break even. If you are creating a unique car, I think you would be silly to build them to make money on. It's not easy unless you can do everything yourself from mechanics, to body work. I would look into the market, message boards being the best because you can see peoples opinions on prices. Otherwise I start with waht I would be happy with getting out of it (high number) usually and see what happens, if no responses then obviously my price is high.
  7. New York, the new California.
  8. Think about how much time they spend idleing. Think about how most law officers drive them during the day. They are super abused, and once "de-comissioned" have holes in the roof, trunk, interior panels, head liner, etc. So yes, they are dirt cheap as most state owned cars are.
  9. Exhaust work and a tune makes a HUGE difference in driveability. Much faster turbo spool, and easier to stay in boost in between shifts.
  10. Looks better than the old ones, make sure the lugs have enough thread contact. Looks like the stud is barely part way through the lug nut, of course it could just be the angle/photo.
  11. Nickey and I are going to Blue Ginger........Alex? Ventura?
  12. Let's meet up for dinner. I vote Sushi again, but will follow the herd as usual if everyone wants something different.
  13. +1 pics didn't look THAT impressive.

  15. Well, I suppose I will toss this up here for kicks. 1995 Volkswagen Cabrio I am the 2nd owner 108K Miles Automatic Transmission Leather Interior Power windows, locks, power steering, A/C Manual Top Newer exhaust, tires have good life left. Previous owner (original owner) informed me that the transmission has been rebuilt, and the top has been replaced once. Some rust on both front fenders at the doors, some scuffing on front bumper. Rockers are solid, bottom of car is solid. Recent services (last 100 miles) -Timing Belt -Water pump -Water housing -Valve Cover gasket, intake plenum gasket -Spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor -De-carbon EGR valve -Front pads and rotors, rotor run out matched to hubs using on-car brake lathe. -Rear shoes and hardware, lathe rear drums, re-pack rear wheel bearings. -Oil Change -Coolant converted to G12 -All new vacuum lines -Brake fluid flush Things it could use to be "perfect". -Radio is in SAFE mode, need the code, but it is an old cassette deck..... -No floor mats in the car, staining on the carpets. -Passenger exterior mirror has no reflective glass in it, it's black. -Brake light comes on due to the front wheel speed sensors not reading. -Haven't messed with the A/C at all. -Dunno if the top leaks or not, hasn't seen rain while I have had it, and frankly I haven't washed the exterior yet. Still making repairs on the car as I get parts, I will keep this updated as things get fixed.
  16. You mentioned it does it "when you give it gas" which is when the motor mounts get loaded. Will it make the noise in a straight line?
  17. Too soupy for my liking. Still had some opposite wheel lock going though.
  18. Disappointed with Lamborghini and Ferrari. Gone are the days of simple/subtle lines. Both cars look ridiculous. Waaay to over the top for me. Should have built the P3/4 car as the road car successor.
  19. Looks good man. Love how subtle the car looks.
  20. I would not snag an RX8 as a daily now. The V is nice if you can afford it. You have been down the Passat road once very thoroughly, not a lot has changed in the motor department. New motors, sure, but they already have their costly pattern failures. Although in well kept condition they run very well, no doubt about that.
  21. Just tint now..... Suspension soon, but it will just be wrx/sti oem bits to replace worn out components.
