  1. Current SNELL helmet will be perfect If you guys are newer to this or first timers I highy recommend getting there around 8-830. This will get you registered, prepped for tech, etc. You will have a much better experience if you aren't rushed. Plus with as long as the PCA course designs are you will want the extra time to walk the course a couple times. Find someone who you know/looks like they have done this a while and take a walk around the course with them. Experienced people have really interesting stuff to point out that you may have not noticed before on a course walk. If you don't have magnetic numbers REMEMBER TO BRING PAINTERS TAPE or something to number your car. I have seen people printing numbers off their computer and tape paper in the window.....whatever just make it big and legible. If you aren't driving a Porsche or Mercedes you will be in "X" class. As far as tech goes, they are going to look at the condition of your tires, maybe peek through your wheels, they usually torque your wheels, so if you are sensitive to this I bring my own torque wrench and do it in front of the inspector. IMPORTANT to note is that you have to have a battery tie down, they will check that the battery is secured in the car. They will take a peek at your helmet. It is also a good idea to make sure there isn't a ton of crap to fly around inside the car, it could be a safety concern/more or a distraction than anything.
  2. NICE! I guess lol, thanks for sharing and good luck getting your car back together asap.
  3. If I were you guys I wouldn't count on their coffee/doughnuts as your total breakfast. I typically still grab something else. There is a McDonalds/Canes/Subway/Kroger in the shopping center at Olentangy and Ackerman just East of the lot.
  4. YOU HAD A SUB 10K BUDGET. ANY S60R IN THAT RANGE WAS A HEAP.
  5. Yes they are, I would recommend them.
  6. Dad (Craig) isn't instructing this year?
  7. Also keep in mind that a lot of properties at the North end of Clintonville have garages in the alley's. Like closer to Morse Road, just keep that in mind as there is not any room back there to add on side to side. Erica and I looked extensively in Clintonville and are "fresh" out of the market. I work over on Indianola and test drive all through the neighborhoods over there. Great area, but you are definitely paying for location over there as homes are really over priced for what you get in some parts. We bought a really outdated house that we have been comfortably and I think quickly bringing back up to more modern specs. The structure is solid, space is good, and price was right for the area. I would again buy based on the space, then take into consideration the price vs. what needs to be done. Look at comparables or other homes on the same street and compare what has been done/updated in a more expensive home to what you are looking at more seriously.
  8. Thanks for the heads up I will pick it up this week for sure. First one was great!
  9. Little brisk, but not bad out.
  10. Subway cold cuts are pretty good. Just throwing something out that hasnt been mentioned.
  11. Legacy here as well.
  12. +1 I have a Craftsman professional series 1/2" that just died. It came with the box I bought and had already been used for unknown # of years before me. I now have the latest Snap-On 3/8" and 1/2". Got the 1/2" off the truck as a reposession that was only a month or 2 old. I don't have electric stuff yet as I don't have the need for them...yet. I on the other hand LOVE my little 1/4" electric that I use for trim stuff.
  13. I wouldn't call it "the one". There seems to already be a steady flow of people to the SCCA events from what I have seen in person.
  14. Are those really the Texas plates? Those are cool as shit.
  15. He came in from West Virginia on top of that. It happened on course towards the back half I guess. I arrived shortly after it happened and ended up talking to the guy for awhile. He built most of the front suspension stuff from scratch in his garage. I reckon running 285's up front on a MR2 with a stock modified ball joint didn't help a whole lot, but it literally twisted and ripped both the ears off. It was cracked in other places as well.
  16. Took the Miata to the autox with Erica to watch :dumb: I know. Then went to the grocery with it to realize that the trunk was full of other shit. Made plans for next weekend to sort out the suspension a little bit on the MR2.
  17. Also over in Worthington off 161/Dublin Granville just West of Jack Maxton is the old train museum with some neat old trains sitting outside on tracks.

In the last shot the car is pointed in the leaving direction to head down the hill.
  19. In the area right around spaghetti warehouse. Had to drive up a gravel road up near the RR tracks. Don't know if it was legal or not, but got some neat shots of the LGT.
  20. That MR2 was nasty today. Too bad his ball joint sheared off.
