  1. That's what I'm seeing too. Every good contractor I know is booked several months out with big projects. I'm kind of in the same position as the OP, I have some minor plumbing and electrical stuff I would like done around the house and I don't feel like doing it myself.
  2. I don't see how they can integrate autonomous vehicles into society unless they completely ban regular cars/trucks. It's either all, or none. So unless they make it illegal to drive your own vehicle, we're a longggggg way from that ever happening. I really don't think the majority of America wants self driving cars. The automakers might listen to some halfwit teenage fuckwads in a focus group that talk about how great autonomous vehicles would be, but I think (hope?) that's the exception and not the norm. At some point, the people will speak loud and clear and the automakers will have to comply. The EPA can suck it.
  3. Sad, but true. There's no way, NO WAY, that this autonomous nonsense is feasible anytime in the next century. Even if it could be a halfway realistic possibility, I still think it's a ridiculous idea. But GM (and other auto manufacturers) are committed to blowing a shit ton of money on this idea of a self-driving world. It's crazy, but they want to appear like they are progressive (plus feeling pressure from the EPA I'm sure) and they are taking it too far IMO. Agreed on all points.
  4. Speaking of that.....lots of funny stuff in this thread..... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124274
  5. Yeah, it definitely depends on what you're selling, your price point, and the target demographic. I remember what it was like trying to sell a Chevy Caprice for $3k. Holy hell, what a shit show. Never the fuck again. As much as I love the B-body Impala SS/Caprice, I'll never own another one unless I plan on keeping it for a loooonnngggg time.
  6. Very nice! Excellent choice on the color
  7. I haven't, and since it's right there on the firewall, I guess it's easy enough to take a look. It certainly wouldn't hurt. I just figure if there was a problem with the master or slave, I would be having issues all the time, not just in the morning when I first start the truck. The clutch seems fine, pedal feels good, the engagement point still feels normal.
  8. Lately I’ve been having an issue trying to get my truck to go into gear after a cold start. '89 Chevy K1500, 350, 4-speed manual w/ granny low. It acts like 1st gear is locked out. Pumping the clutch a few times in neutral and trying 1st again doesn’t work. It doesn’t want to go into 2nd either, and will grind bad if I try to go into reverse. I haven’t tried going into LOW but imagine it probably wouldn’t work either. It will usually go into 3rd with a little extra effort, then I can slip the clutch a bit to get the truck rolling, and at that point I can usually get it into 1st. Then it goes through the rest of the gears fine and shifts flawlessly the rest of the drive in all gears. I drained the fluid from the trans and replaced with fresh 80W-90, made sure it was full, and it made no difference. It only does it after a cold start, and I don’t understand how it suddenly shifts perfect once I get going. It has never once popped out of gear or made any grinding noises or any other signs of failure. So what the hell is going on with this thing? It doesn't seem like it would be a clutch/hydraulic issue, but I really have no idea. I’m stumped.
  9. He gave me a working CD player for free many years ago after a crackhead stole mine. Very selfless guy
  10. Very cool
  11. ^ This is a solid idea. I fucking hate paying so much to rent a tux. Think about it.....hundreds of dollars to BORROW clothes for a day? Crazy. Then again, everything about a wedding is typically priced at ridiculous rates, simply because they can. My favorite gift was a large beer mug engraved with my initials. Simple and cheap, yet awesome.
  12. Good point, it probably depends on the part. I guess if you need a mechanical part where aesthetics aren't important, they probably won't ask you to put your eyes on it first.
  13. He's looking for a self-pull yard, and for whatever reason, you suggested Marshall's. That's the complete opposite of what he wants lol. But since you brought them up, I figured I would share my experience. For those who have never been to Marshall's, you walk in, tell them what you want, then sit down and wait....and wait...and wait....then when it's finally your turn, they want you to visibly see the part before they take the time to pull it. So you get in one of their shitbox yard trucks, in my case it was some busted ass Explorer with no windows and mud caked all over the interior, and ride shotgun as they take you offroading through their trails until you finally get to the vehicle you're looking for. Then if you give them the OK to pull the part, they take you back up front and you wait some more until they bring the part up front to take home. For the bench seat I bought, it was totally worth it. But I definitely prefer self-pull yards.
  14. ..... I went to Marshalls at 10am on a freakin Tuesday and still had to wait over three hours just for a seat ^ this
  15. Wirthmans on East Broad, I only went there once but they let me pull the parts myself since I knew what I was after
  16. A guy at my work has a 2017 Colorado V6 4x4 Crewcab. He loves it. He says the latest TSB with the fluid change completely fixed the TC shudder.
  17. CRV, Prius, and Chevy Cruze drivers are the absolute worst
  18. I have ONE pass, good for today and tomorrow, Golden Bear club https://www.thememorialtournament.com/patron-info/patron-village/ I'm in Hilliard, come get it this afternoon if you want it. I'll be around for a few hours
  19. Hell, if you got the space for it. If my garage was large enough (2.5 car or bigger) I would totally have a couch in the garage
  20. Hell yes! You really got that truck looking good. That height looks perfect.
  21. Looking great Tim! I always enjoy seeing garage pics, especially seeing the progress as they transform.
  22. ^ This As long as you know they have the part in stock
