  1. Yikes, that's worse than I was expecting
  2. I bought a truck from Cordell with a hole in the frame, it was something crazy cheap though, and fully disclosed before purchase. I drove that truck 7k miles, sold it to a friend for whatever I had in it, and he drove it for a while until the throwout bearing came apart. The frame was never repaired. And guess what, we both lived to tell the story. The big bad frame never broke and the truck never disintegrated or exploded. I'm still curious to see pics of the frame on this Envoy.
  3. I'm tired of this middle of the road bullshit with temperatures constantly hovering between the high 20's and mid 30's, so we get this "wintry mix" freezing rain every day. Either be in the 40's with some sunshine, or be in the 20's with snow. But no, its Ohio, so it'll continue to stay right around freezing with gray skies every day, and the only sunshine we get is when it's down in the single digit temps.
  4. Aarrow Radiator in Hilliard (Hayden Run Rd.)
  5. Do you truly believe this guy would knowingly sell a car with a bad frame to a fellow CR member just to make a few bucks? I don't know Slimpsy, but that seems pretty far fetched IMO.
  6. Yep. Idk if this person went to the dealer and asked to speak directly to the GM, but this should have been done much sooner. Making phone calls just isn't good enough sometimes.
  7. Good advice. Lots of good info in this thread that is very helpful. I'm in a similar boat as BBQ Dude. I'll be completely debt free here very shortly, but I don't have any credit accounts or anything, and haven't in a long time. I figured paying my bills on time and having no debt would be good enough, but nope. My credit score is around 640 I think. There just isn't much history there. It hasn't been a problem until now that I'm getting ready to buy a newer car and need a loan and realized my credit score needs work. I should have looked into this years ago. And I never even considered the rewards, getting cash back from a credit card is another perk I hadn't considered.
  8. This is what I should have been doing for the last decade. I haven't had a CC in years, I've paid cash or used my bank debit card for everything I've bought. I've only recently realized how foolish that is.
  9. Exactly. Insurance is the biggest fucking scam on the planet. We should be trying to milk every cent out of the insurance companies that we can.
  10. Yeah, I remember there was a recall for a solenoid or something that would supposedly help. The dealer told me it would take a while before we noticed a difference because the trans would need to relearn our driving habits and adjust accordingly. Ha! The problems never went away, go figure. Thank God that shitbox was just a lease.
  11. 2012+ Ford Focus My wife had a brand new '13 when we met. That car was absolute garbage from the moment it left the factory. Lots of little stuff bothered me about the car, especially the shitty interior. The factory timing was so jacked up, it would stumble and knock under 2k RPM (every upshift into 2nd gear under light/normal acceleration) which sounded like someone was pouring pea gravel into the air intake when it shifted and the RPM's dropped. Ford called it "normal"......
  12. It needed to happen. Kitchens had no idea what he was doing and never learned from his mistakes. He showed no signs of growing into the role. No improvements. The team played awful these last few games which was the nail in the coffin for Freddie. I was so damn happy when we first hired him. I thought he would be a really good coach. Boy was I wrong. I still like the guy, but he just doesn't have it. He's not a head coach. I'm really curious to see who we go with next.
  13. That is awesome! I liked your old truck a lot, but the new one is just as cool
  14. Dude that is awesome! Great choice
  15. Thanks for posting this! Just ordered one
  16. I'm in need of a new compressor for my small uninsulated garage (10x23) nothing fancy, as it'll only see occasional use. The new tank will be sitting in the corner of the garage connected to a 50' hose reel mounted on the wall, so it doesn't necessarily need to be light or easily portable. I'm trying to decide between oiled and oil-free. Not sure if the cold winter temperatures in the garage should be a factor in my decision? Here's the two I'm looking at.... https://www.harborfreight.com/20-gallon-16-hp-135-psi-oil-lube-vertical-air-compressor-64857.html https://www.harborfreight.com/26-gallon-18-hp-150-psi-oil-free-air-compressor-69669.html Any suggestions?
  17. Awesome, it looks great! I really like that color, and your choice of transmission
  18. Technically, I still have the same car I joined with, and it's even an f-body. My '92 Camaro RS hardtop is currently rotting away behind the pole barn at my brother's house, with so much rust that it hasn't been safe to drive in years. The subframe is crumbling, there are giant holes in the floor, and the frame rails look like swiss cheese, but it still runs and moves under it's own power! How it looked back then.... The last pic I have of the car, back in 2015 when we were moving a beer pong table from my buddy's house down the street I've owned a few toys since, but haven't had a true fun car since I sold my '98 Z28 in 2011... Nowadays I drive a 30-year-old pickup and a shitty Cobalt. Nothing fancy..... One of these days I'll have something fun again. Just waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger on a 6th gen Camaro
  19. The guy with the big fancy Snap On toolbox is telling the guy who shops at Harbor Freight to quit buying expensive shit
  20. Terrible advice. You really think Harbor Freight would fight him in court over this? Only a cuck would "move on" so easily after the initial rebuff. It'll probably take about 5 minutes of effort from him to push back and get his claim approved.
  21. Yeah, I would ask them to elaborate on what the employee witnessed that they consider "careless". Like they have an employee who is always staring at the door watching every customer's mannerisms as they enter the building.....
