  1. Good choice on the Hardie. Yep that's correct, the Plain City store has more Hardie products in stock than anyone else. That's the location I worked at
  2. Looking awesome Nice Tyvek. I used to work at Holmes! Looks like Hardie siding?
  3. I remember seeing pics of that back when you had it. Awesome truck Thank you
  4. Since the GMC's aren't nearly as common as the Chevys, I think I'm going to keep it all GMC. But if I ever feel like taking the time to switch anything I would go all out and go with the whole 70's front, which would require an entire front clip swap. Hood, fenders, grille, lights, core support, bumper, wiper cowl, etc. Ideally I would want this if I had the choice....
  5. This was what the original '85 GMC grille looked like.....
  6. Jesus Christ lol. These were like $45 from LMC. Plenty good enough for me The grille and lights are from an '89-'91 GMC Suburban..... I like it and think it looks good, but truth be told, wouldn't be my first choice. I like the '73-'80 front ends the best, followed by the '81-'87 Chevrolet, then a toss up between the '81+ GMC styles. The truck was recently painted, otherwise I would probably swap an earlier style front end on it. I think it looks good enough as is, so I'm not gonna fuss with it anytime soon.
  7. I'm really surprised at how much attention this thing attracts. Every time I drive it I have people giving me the thumbs up, coming up to me at gas stations, leaving notes on it asking if I want to sell it, etc. Perfect GIF as always
  8. Thanks brother! I got these from rock auto, they were super cheap. I agree, clear lenses make a world of difference
  9. I put new signal/parking light housings on it, and added some factory style wheel arch moldings from LMC. I think they give it a more "finished" look.... Quite a difference between the old lights and the new....
  10. Congrats on the purchase! Details on the car? Any pics?
  11. My dad has a Chevrolet Bolt, and told me Ohio charges an extra $200 fee when he renews his registration every year. Just goes to show that the government will use any excuse to tax us. Gas guzzlers, EVs, hybrids, it doesn't matter. You'll pay bullshit fees no matter what
  12. Damn, I'll be in Georgia that week on vacation (Tybee Island). Hopefully I can make the next one!
  13. Do you know any cops? Have you ever watched an episode of Cops? That stuff happens all the damn time and it's not just from white people
  14. One of my old work buddies, who happens to be black, posted this on facebook the other day..... Food for thought.
  15. You're putting words in his mouth. And going by that train of thought using your logic, you must be concluding that gillbot only survived those interactions because he's white.
  16. So awesome. Thanks for all the pics and the update, it's really cool to see it out on the road. Badass truck
  17. This guy sounds like a real winner. Works at "your moms house" what a queermo. I'm shocked that he's single
  18. For the first time in years, I have a cool vehicle AND free time on Saturday mornings. I was really looking forward to making it out this year Yes please! This is literally right next to my apartment complex
  19. BUMP I washed it, sprayed some quick detailer, then took it for a long drive.....
  20. I've used Mad Hatter a dozen times over the past decade or so with great results. OEM-style full replacements, custom catbacks, downpipe installs, Y-pipe repairs, you name it. As long as you are still running cats, they will work on it. The dual exhaust they made for one of my old S10's received a ton of compliments..... The rectangle tips aren't for everyone, but I loved them, and everyone thought it sounded really damn good. The guys at Mad Hatter will do everything they can to make sure the tips line up perfectly even
  21. At some point I want to have the seat reupholstered and the paint still needs a cut and buff, but I already have a couple leads
  22. Thanks, guys. I always forget about Northend Wrench, I haven't been there yet but I have heard good things. I bought the truck at the beginning of November and put about 500 miles on it. It has a Holley carb and it ran and drove great except for one minor hiccup crossing a set of bumpy railroad tracks that caused it to stall, and took several attempts to fire back up. Was perfectly fine once I could get it to hold an idle, and it never gave me a problem again after that. I'm assuming it was a stuck float, but I don't know dick about carburetors. Maybe it was just a fluke, or maybe it was a sign of things to come. Also there is no choke, which isn't a big deal because I don't drive it in the cold, but still something to consider. The truck rides straight down the road, but the steering isn't self centering. It's not a big deal, but going around turns on rough roads can catch you off guard at times because it feels like it wants to wander. It's a weird feeling, and I think it has something to do with the aftermarket steering stabilizer. Also the steering wheel isn't on center, so I definitely want an alignment shop to check it out and see where things stand.
