  1. Reserving for later....
  2. Bringing it back as today I was able to have some fun with my S4 vs a new 2015 SHO. Sad day for the Ford. He was/is stock though. We ran from 65-120 at first. Put several lengths on him right away and was continuing to pull on him hard. I let off, he caught up and then waved at me from my ass end to keep going. This time from 100-150'ish. Had quite a bit of distance on him....like more than 10 lengths. He hit a wall in power somewhere. It wasn't pretty. Cool guy, exited and BS'd with me in Obetz at McD's as I grabbed a lunch. LOL he still had 30 day tags on his car. He's no doubt off to get modded In the end, no where between 65 and our top speeds did he pull, gain or come close. Reminded me of a Stock vs Stage 2 S4 video that I've seen. Needs more power.
  3. FWIW I think the Cars and Coffee Event has been one of the better if not best things that has come from CR since I've been on board. Meets are great, race days are great, but I've literally met a 100+ members face to face and learned more about them and made better friends from C&C than anything else. Props to Clay for driving it home and to all that have attended.
  4. I wish I had 10% of his skills to do all this myself I suppose it's for the better as then I'd have to find the time to do it.
  5. Oh shit, a serious thread that I want to participate in and yet it's mid afternoon and I should be working not taking another cell phone break :gabe: I too am far from an OG but time blows by as I can't believe I've been here this long. Although I seemed to have joined already knowing several here from as far back as National Trail days in the mid 90's and the days of list-serves. Discussion wise, I agree and with many of the CR Crowd now being "older" however you define that, I more enjoy and would like to see participation in even the more serious topics that sometimes get squashed or just plain don't hit the board. I suppose it's a "racing site" so perhaps that's why, but as you said, that's not been the core of topics anymore, and honestly, I've not been racing or having that type of fun since the days kids and life got in the way as they do. In a good way though. I try every chance I get to get new members on board as I think the one thing that's come through most for me is the core group of people that I know are really solid people. It's far from a board of just street racing kids that aren't worth spit. We really do have a solid group of people from all walks of life that in many cases would drop what they are doing to help a brother out. That's hard to find any more. Above is true and half the reason I login like I do. Life is serious enough and sometimes a crazy stupid off the wall thread is fun. Even the ones that go down hill fast. LOL's can surely be had. ^^ Agree. I typically ignore those. I am still amazed at how many times someone I have never met or know fires a smart ass comment or PM at me though. I brush off most but a couple I won't ever forget.
  6. in before the haters chime in :gabe:
  7. Not a day goes by that I don't think of having gotten with Trey to buy your old car instead of the S4. :fuuuu::fuuuu:
  8. I'd put a camera out there for him to play with http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZebuzrnZU_s/T6ztdqCQgUI/AAAAAAAACAQ/7KfBHTwIIAI/s1600/Funny+Raccoon+00.jpg
  9. Chew the fuck out of any wires on shiny metal objects with four wheels before you get dead. Shit inside it if you have access too.
  10. Put a radio/boom box out there, crack the garage door about 12" and crank it up LOUD. They will HATE the sound, especially bass and run out. Do it at night and wait a day. Worked for us at my wife's office. Altnernative, buy a .22 or .177 Cal 1200ft/sec. air rifle for $150. I've popped a several over the years. You might have to climb up and get it as it will likely have a death grip.
  11. I hate when build threads have owners dragging their feet and taking forever to get shit done Looks great man! Far cry from the 2.0T. Way to jump right into the good stuff. Looking forward to seeing them numbers and perhaps the car over some coffee.
  12. I don't have the exact TSB. The Ford dealer found the problem and details and printed it out for me. Something to do with the ignition switch shorting out and not communicating properly with the security system thus why the car wouldn't start occasionally. I banged on the key / dash and it would fire up. Very strange. Anyway, the service writer said there's no way Hyundai would cover it, even though the problem is all over google, etc. and a very well known problem. New to me but I did my share of reading. Long story short, I'd pay Ford to fix it before Dennis Hyundai. They lied to me back in the day about the brakes being so bad they wouldn't drive it. I came home from travels, pulled the wheel and there were 50% left in the fronts. flat out lied. Power Steering, they were $300 higher than anyone else getting it replaced. Yadda yadda.
  13. ^^ These. The irony is I won't EVER go back to the Hyundai dealership in that area. Today was the very last time EVER. I'll fill you in on the details over coffee sometime. In the end it's sad that we are both in simliar situtions. I have and will continue to just simply pay for things out of my own pocket. Thankfully the couple issues I've had to fix were inexpensive. My van is at Germain Ford right now to have them address a TSB that that Hyundai dealer was giving me a hard time about. We are pleased with the product but the service has sucked since day 1. If I have problems with the Audi, that fucker is going to catch fire due to a loose fuel line.
  14. Couple more pics because I'm a whore like that. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj84/crms3er/20150929_120324%20copy%20web_zps9ookk5a5.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj84/crms3er/20150929_120248%20copy%20web_zpswilprlch.jpg
  15. LOL...that's the one thing I like about our van....it has guts, will spin off the light and has enough HP to insure it doesn't run out of gas on the highway. Passes are done with ease.
  16. I've never really seen the benefit over weighing the risks on either facebook or twitter. Not a user or fan of either.
  17. I said the same thing to my wife. Only I'm still waiting to see the Boxer in her Never had a lab so I can't tell if her hair is lab or soft boxer-ish.
  18. So with heavy hearts we had to forgo the addition of the 5yr old Pit Mix to our home. Given the situation with our current Pit who is not dog friendly we realized the stress and matter of bringing an adult dog into the home would be too much for everyone. However, he has done very well with puppies in the past and as of even as early as this morning, he has adjusted nicely to little miss "Virginia" or "Ginia" for short. The name comes from the movie John Carter that my kids just loved. She's 50% Boxer - Father and 50% Yellow Lab - Mother. Rescued from a family down south of Chillicothe who wasn't able to care for 8 pups. Father was about 80lbs and Fawn Boxer and mom was about 75lbs of beautiful friendly Yellow Lab. Thanks to everyone for the insight in my previous thread and special shout out to Ryan who helped coach us to a sense of understanding with bringing two big unknowns together and what the consequences could have been. It really did take hearing it from someone with his training and background to come through. So far all is going well and she's doing her job of keeping us up at night http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj84/crms3er/OY6A3734%20copy%20web_zpskjkuyrj7.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj84/crms3er/P1010370%20copy%20web_zpsjem4wwob.jpg
  19. Have had our 2007 Entourage since it was practically new and it's served us very very well. Nearly 100k on the odo now too.
  20. We are following a lead a couple counties away on what appears to be a boxer yellow lab mix. Boxer hair, yellow lab color, etc. approx. 8 wks old. Found on road. Stay tuned.
  21. Good insight guys and thanks to Ryan for the phone call. It's a tough decision but we as a family are going to have to let this girl go to another home. They don't require we bring our current dog there but it's a good idea. Unfortunately our current one would be worse off doing so as with ALL those dogs and scents around I know he wouldn't do well and would be on edge. We are going to look at getting a very young puppy instead. Thanks for the input everyone.
  22. Okay, so we as family all have a hole in our heart for having lost our boxer and really miss having two dogs. Our current pit mix is about 70lbs and we've had him since he was about 6weeks. Today we went to a couple shelters and at the Franklin County one off Morse Rd. we found a very very sweet and lovable female pit/pit mix that apparently had pups but was found by the dog warden and brought to them about 1-2 weeks ago. She's about 50lbs but needs some love and a couple good meals as she is thin. Where I'm looking for opinions is that our current pup and how to introduce them. He got along great with our boxer but is very territorial and seemingly not friendly with other dogs - at least when we walk him. We did introduce him to my mother in laws dog, a puppy, and it took a couple days but he was fine. We did so at our home by putting them in kennels side by side and gradually getting them to know one another. I'm thinking that would work here again. I know everyone says to do it on neutral territory, but he's not good while walking him and it doesn't allow for much control other than the leash. I also think he's likely protective of my wife while on walks. At least here in the house he has a cage and a leash. He's very good with our kids and the new pup was lovable and great with the kids today too. The volunteer said she was snipping with small dogs at the shelter but is fine with larger ones. So what would CR Do? Thanks in advance for the insight. All she wanted was to be held and petted and loved on. Very sweet girl. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj84/crms3er/20150927_164541_006_zpsfnv1941m.jpg
