His set up didn't look like one you or other guys having fun playing around would have. Not paranoid, just keeping it real.

    Missing Plane

The more I hear and read about this I'm convinced it was the older pilot. The one with the Flight Simulator in his house. Really? I can't wait to find out his "practice" runs done on that thing. He had a shit-ton of hours in real planes so why would he need a simulator unless he was "practicing" for such an event? Conspiracy I know.....

    Missing Plane

Unless they plan on using the plane and passengers further and this is just the beginning of their overall plan.....

True but the GPS units would still likely track just fine. I know even in areas where I lose cell signal, I an keep my GPS active and so long as I have local maps I can navigate just fine. I don't know how it all works, but I would imagine that the GPS Satellites can track where devices they are linked to are located. Don't know though.
  6. The contractor and my wife are going to "discuss" our disagreements or end up in arbitration/court for some pretty poor consumer practices. They are trying to fuck with us on the costs of parts, etc. IMO because they think being 8-9hrs away is going to cause me to pay crazystupidassprices. Doubtful.
  7. ^^ the above is most important. everything else can be replaced. question..were you late?
  8. Virginia Beach. I wish it was Z-ville. I was just at our farm there yesterday too.

Stranger thing have happened. I bet not many would have thought one could just disappear like this.

    Missing Plane

^^ could be likely. However, I would bet the proper folks are on alert for such a thing. I can't see a rogue 700 series plane fairing too well against a military that's been told to take it out.
  11. It does have some additional plumbing running to a heating system but nothing crazy. Just some additional connections. I'm still awaiting a final number. I'm just pissed that labor rates are that high for a job that should take but a handful of hours.
  12. Rant thread......fucking hate being reamed in the ass by home improvement crap! One of our properties not within driving distance needs a hot water tank installed and I'll be damned if everyone is trying to stick it to me....or at least I think so. $1,400 for a 50 gal gas water heater including installation and a damn permit! Hell, I don't even think I paid a permit when installing my own. I wish I could get there and do it myself. aRHHHH!!!!
  13. 3100 in 6th on the Mazda. Nice as it really doesn't require a downshift to pass with some decent oomph. End result however it's loss of MPG's.
  14. NYC again. We had a blast ast year and it gives my sister in law a break from their kids as her and the hubby watch our house and dogs.
  15. The same calibration unit I use for my Photography Studio Monitors.
  16. Fuck yeah! I wasn't really in the market but I have a 55" Panny from 2007 that was crying to be moved to the spare bedroom for guests so that I could make way for a new one in the family room....or in reality, I had an itch for a new TV just because.... I will say the advancements are amaing. Even just regular Digital WOW Ultra TV is spectacular. It upconverts way better than I ever expected. Even a standard blue ray is way better. Sony did a great job with their XBR 4k line up. Even on a 1080p download from Movietube of Man of Steel, it's fucking amazing. Zero pixelation, very good if not flawless motion and clarity. The same movie on my Panny is noticeably more compressed. After all, it is a download....but the Sony has so many tweaks and adjustments for noise, compression, etc. that it's crazy. After viewing them all side by side at the store and tweaking them from their retail display color spaces, I'd be hard pressed to have kept the Vizeo. The difference is noticable. Samsung was a close second, but the colors don't track true at all and it's over processed images remind me of a point and shoot camera. I just got through calibrating the Sony on with my Spider unit and it's spot on to true color.
  17. Have one both upstairs and lower level systems run off a PC.
  18. Found out my company bought it from Best Buy. Just exchanged it towards a new Sony 4k TV
  19. Got lucky and won an M Series 60 inch LED TV. Picture quality is excellent, how about longevity? Anyone here have experience with this brand? I am looking to keep it in replace an older Panasonic Plasma. Just curious on how the held up in the field. Their reviews all seem to come in very positive. What does CR think?
  20. With an app such as Go SMS Pro, you could send up to 5Mb per MMS for free, but with the HD video on the Note II, 5Mb is like 5 seconds!
  21. Yep. I sent a bunch of vids from Hawaii to a friend who uses an iPhone. Again, personally, best to shoot 1080p and upload it to a hosting site and send a link, but in a pinch and to rub in the surf and sun, what I did worked well
  22. You can absolutely send an MMS/Video text to another person with video on a SGNote. I use it on a Note 3 often. As Chris noted, the video quality isn't great but then to text someone great quality video, you're best off uploading it to a site such as Vimeo and sending them a link. If you want to send video, click on the paperclip looking thing in the Text Message, it will bring up the Attach Menu and then select Record Video.
  23. IMO that Kang was fucking around with the guy. Need to find me one providing a full out kick taking a guy the fuck out so I can LOL tonight.
