That's a call out if I've ever heard one. You obviously don't know Kirk real well and I don't care what paper and numbers tell you about your car, but I have $50 on Kirk in his Z or his Godzilla against you on a CR Track day with you driving vs him driving. Regardless of the outcome that's $50 in entertainment well spent and I'm sure he'd have fun and race you just the same.

Consider my next raising of the glass in honor of your father and those of all of us. We're dealing with the same type of situation with my father. Interesting that you mention the sleeping all the time thing. My father is wakes up for may 2-3hrs throughout the day, eats and sleeps and that's about it. He has congestive heart failure and his breathing during sleep is very labored even with oxygen. Atrophy is taking it's toll too. It does suck and like your father, I know mine wants to just simply sleep his way into a peaceful death. Some here slam suicide but I watched my brother battle cancer for 12 yrs and contemplate it multiple times. In the end I still believe he caused himself to bleed out by drinking while on blood thinners. He knew better but like I just mentioned, he wanted it to end and I can't believe his body survived all it went through. Hang in there, take care of mom.

That's the one I pulled the trigger on. Ordered it with their 12" powered sub and it's perfect for our needs down in the kids room. Watching a movie in their is great. Gaming kicks ass with that sub too. Thanks everyone!

clearly he hasn't. in fact I was waiting your reply to this thread as not only someone who actually has driven but owns both and more and likely has more seat time than him in either. Interesting thread filled with wiki and youtube links as back up.:dumb:

It's not been an easy road with my elderly parents but the past 18 months or so have yielded my father to only put about 1,800 miles on his car. It's a 2007 with just about 7k on the ODO. Thankfully. 2k of those miles are likely from my sister and I who drive it when we're home. He keeps the car, the freedom, the man-card as one might say, but uses it with discretion. I'm glad it wasn't the battle I thought it was going to be.

^^ Same here. Not sure if it's an IBM software thing or just the way we have it deployed but most all of our databases and reporting is only compatible with IE. I use Firefox for most things though.

I worked across from the bank one complex off Polaris from before it was built through 2005 and during that time can't tell you how many times their security kicked me out after work for dropping a purple worm from my tackle box in their retention ponds to catch some small mouth Fish in a barrel fun really. Guys I worked with laughed but it was fun even if it only lasted 30-40 minutes before they came by and hassled me.

I started in high school with a Basic rod, real, purple worms and live bait and targeted place for small mouth bass and had a blast. Catfish, trout and coming in spring, crappie are all good fun and pretty easy to catch. I usually carry a rod and small tackle box with me as stopping off for even an hour is pretty relaxing. Call it some alone time with me the water and no kids or wife.

MS3 in the summer, I usually turn it off otherwise it really sucks balls if you decide to put your foot down. I'd rather spin a bit than bog like I hit a lake full of mud. On the Ford the system works spectacular. Pulling out onto the arterial road from our side street, I can just push the pedal and the car will do it's thing and pull me out with near zero issues. If the roads are icy, I just manually start in 2nd or usually 3rd and again, let it do it's thing. Even going up our slightly inclined drive when it's freshly shoveled and slick no problems. I personally wouldn't turn it off nor the stability control as it's very good and I'd rather be safe than not. I've taken pretty much all the vehicles out into parking lots to try and mark a hard turn and spin out and they won't. Worst case they would plow forward a bit but in the end just make the turn with a larger arc. Priceless on my wife's minivan as with it off, it will kick it's ass end around like a hammer. TC and Stability on it's wife-proof. I've felt it work surprisingly well on the ramp from Northbound Sawmill to 270E where there's a little rise on the ramp. It's easy to take that a little too fast and when slick it will save your ass. I can't tell you how many cars I've seen first hand wipe out there, even in rain.

I'll help you out with some embedded pics as I think you'll fit in just fine on CR once you get going..... http://i1327.photobucket.com/albums/u678/leviblevins/100_1208_zps680cab7d.jpg http://i1327.photobucket.com/albums/u678/leviblevins/100_1201_zpsc77f95d5.jpg

I use a battery tender and call it a day. I drive the MS3 now and then to keep her going and burn up the gas inside the tank. I usually park it like now with about 1/2 tank then add 1/2 tank of good stuff come spring.

I was actually onto this prior to the Asian doctor on Dr. Oz a few weeks back. My brother in law from Japan is a doctor and he and I were talking about it as their family is really into things like this. I've dismissed it as just another way of thinking until I saw how he litterally transformed his entire body with food in preperation for running marathons. He lost over 50lbs and is ripped now and way, way healthier and has more energy. Ironically I did see the Dr. Oz thing while on vacation and helping my parents out at their home. I never watch the show, but mom had it on and I was stunned to see that episode. I am 190lbs and would kill to get back to my prime of 155-165lbs. I'm going lower carb but more of a variation in my diet that will allow me to transform through a more "normal" lifestyle that is actually something I can do. What I mean by that is I do believe DIET is a HUGE part of our health and fitness but with Kids, family, hectic job hours, traveling, little time for real exercise and all the other excuses that I can't escape, I'm trying in a number of ways to just DO IT or at least do something that gets me on the right track. Not sure if that makes sense.....overall though, I know I have to eat better and the one thing we don't cut corners on in our home regardless of costs is food. We spend about $1k per month at Kroger, etc..including of course other non-food things but I'll gladly spend more if need be to insure the kids eat healthy. That's already a part of why our food bills are higher. Now it's time the wife and I eat the same way.

Gotcha. Don't know for sure, but since the last round of updates, if leave one particular external drive plugged into the USB 3.0 port it won't boot at all. Does exactly what Trish noted, no beep, just a blank screen and a flicking LED for the HD. Nothing at all ever. Unplug the drive and bingo, she boots. I hate all the Windows updates that get sent out.

Wife bought the kids a nice Karaoke Machine for Christmas and while one option is $1.49 per song, I'd much rather find sites or ways for "alternative" methods. Any tips? I can get regular .mp3's all day but would like the CD+G files that support showing lyrics on the Screen/TV. Thanks!

Totally worth $2,900. If that thing sells, I'm putting up dog turds for sale on ebay. I'll make thousands.
