  1. Some here know that I used to work in NYC and spent quite a bit of time there. Even back in the day I would travel with a small camera at most times and have quite a few shots of the towers. Following are a handful of images, one or two even shot with film I also took a handful of shots after the Towers of Light were up. After reading many of the posts here I feel older than I am. That day was rather unique for me as I had one of my Junior Reps in the air on his very first business trip and his mother was calling me constantly to get updates. All I could tell him was "get a rental car" and head home. My entire team was out in the field and the stories of their travels home sit with me to this day as it was truly surreal. I watched it all live and was even on the phone with some of my customers in the towers. Included below is what is likely one of the last photos of inside the towers taken by a good friend and customer of mine as he evacuated. I have about 100 of his evacuations shots and go through them with him quite often. He was fairly safe not far up in the towers, but felt the panic just the same. God Bless all those that perished that day. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/145990874/original.jpg

  11. I saw this on yahoo and was hoping for a wardrobe malfunction or something.
  12. I'd rock the hell out of that. Even if it's a 2dr.
  13. My wife and I have a poor mans dinner that to me is excellent. Little oil, red pepper (not the powder) the cracked kind that is larger, splash of wine, clove of fresh garlic chopped up and saute it up to your liking. Just don't over cook or char anything. Put the above over the pasta of your choice, we like anglehair, with freshly grated cheese of your choosing. Add in a glass of good white wine and you're in for a slightly spicy treat. I often saute up some chicken into it all too.
  14. ^^ These for sure. I love veggies. I've been on a stir fry kick lately. I'll even eat it for breakfast which freaks my wife out. Fresh Oinions, brocc, peppers, carrots, snap peas or snow peas, little oil and a splash of wine and I stir them up until bright colors pop and they are looking good. Then I throw in some very thin sliced strip steak, cook 1-2 minutes, put in some tasty sauces I make up ahead of time (freeze them in ice cube trays) and serve with about 1/4-1/2 cup brown rice. Damn it's good! Otherwise, a little seasoning, butter and a grill with burger or a steak next to veggies is the next best thing. I've done that for brunch too Everything tastes better grilled. I especially like corn on the cob, mushrooms, zuccini or eggplant. YUMMY! Another thing that you might eventually get to is Spagetti Squash. It's great with some fresh tomatos & Garlic and onions all diced up with some fresh italian herbs tossed in. Can you tell I'm hungry? :gabe:
  15. I disagree, I don't think gov't should dictate that a corporation owner or management team can only make $$$ dollars or percent. We don't need more big gov't like Obama and other dems think. They can't run the gov't let alone advise or manage the private sector. What is needed is for the gov't to stick to higher level influences and stay out of our day to day operations. What needs fixed is eliminating the incentives to bring jobs over to China thus making it a moot whether the people work here or there. If anything it should be that they are encouraged to hire within our borders. Same too the costs of importing items should be influenced to be on par with those made in the states. End result would be parity in the marketplace for both making and buying of goods. Ross Perot was right, all that's happened since NAFTA and outsourcing of our lives is that things are unbalanced and our workers are chasing wages that are declining. In the end, goods might cost more, but no doubt should be back to better quality standards and our workforce will also make more and be employed. Look at it like this, the majority of working class people living paycheck to paycheck should no longer be forced to buy cheap goods at Wal-Mart and instead could buy better products and feed their family with goods from the US. It's not rocket science, at one time we were the land of opportunity where we actually made the stuff we consume. Right now there's far less in the way of opportunity to earn for the avergage Joe and we make very little of what we consume. Very sad. Again, we don't need more big gov't interfering with the system that does work. Dems have it backwards. STay out of the day to day, quite lowering the bar and providing for people with no expectation that they earn what they receive and instead let the system work and force those that don't want to work to lie in their own bed or do something to help themselves. Provide opportunity not free support that encourages them to say in those support systems for life.
  16. Sad news for sure. Seems to have been a pretty good guy. Strength/size wise, he was definitely the kinda guy I would not have wanted to have to square off against.
  17. Check your serial numbers. My bet is they didn't repair your lens but rather likely exchanged it. Date codes will confirm if they gave you a newer model. I've had two lenses sent in for repairs and in both cases they were replaced with refurbs much newer than my originals.
  18. In for blurry cell phone pic with no focus point :gabe:
